Issue resolved
As noted by a couple of people, the bra is just the wrong shape for me, so I will be returning it.
Original problem
I'm not so sure about the pointy shape. In person it looks like I'm nipping a lot. Rightie also looks kind of like I'm quadding, but the downward shot shows otherwise. Keep or return? Or should I try a different size?

It looks too deep for you, with that shape. Do you feel like it supports you at all?

It is very much possible to quadraboob in one place and have gaping in another. Nothing strange with it, it's just a clear sign of that the cup has the volume in the wrong places for your shape. And, it simply means that this is the wrong shape for you. To me it looks like you need a wider shallower cup (shallower in projection, in reality you might well want to stay with the current cup depth measurement but with a wider wire to get the volume distributed over a wider surface). To me it does look as you'd need a slightly wider cup and allow a bit more volume at the side, while you cannot really fill it out close to the center.

helpfulThe sizing looks right,, but it's just because the cup is designed that way. You "feel" that you have quading because the top half of the cups "looks" like its cutting into you.

I think you're right. The cup definitely has a deeper shape than other bras that I wear regularly. I feel like it does support a little bit. My boobs are pretty much self-supporting, so the wires sit nice and snug, but the cup just kind of covers the boob. Maybe I'll just have to send this one back and try something else.
