Curvy Kate » Thrill Me Padded Bra (SG3001) » 28FF 28:8
Issue resolved
The bra mostly fits though slightly bigger in the cup than designed for - since this one is a smidge big on me in the cups (and the ivory runs a cup size large), I'll experiment with 28ff for the current Thrill Me colorways and the Tease Me bras.
Original problem
This is my first Curvy Kate so I'd like to confirm the fit of this one and get suggestions on other Curvy Kate's (and other brands) since I know size varies on this one based on colors.
I have a wide root, am wide-set and bottom-heavy. I prefer tight bands with the size closer to my underband measurement for comfort. (70 cm is my comfortable measurement, I can go down to about 67 cm measuring really, really tightly). Let me know if you need more info from me.

helpfulThis really seems like a decent fit The ruffles can be decieveng though - they can hide a quadboob and/or gapping so make sure to check.
Is it comfortable?
Other than that I cannot find a fault. The only thing I don't like is the little bulge on your back - I think you might try to take it to the cup by scooping. Wonder what happens thenUpdated on November 15, 2012 Flag this

helpfulHow do the wires feel to you? Ok? Or do they sit on breast tissue?
I would say it fits and is wearable. But this bra needs to be on the brink of being too small in the cup to fit correctly and give you that super-duper cleavage it was designed for. On you it is a tiny bit too big in the cup. What day of your cycle are you? If you are at the beginning, it might be a very good pre-period bra.
If you like this bra, you could mess around with the different colours, they run a bit different in size.

As for the band sliding up, sew some non-stretch fabric into the band so that it stretches less. (This can usually be undone later if you think about selling this bra.)

The wires feel pretty good. So far they do not seem to be sitting on breast tissue. I'll probably do the fabric on the band as hooking it on the tightest hook was better. I am at the beginning of my cycle so there is room for period gain.
So, since this one is slightly big on me and the ivory runs large should I stay in the 28ff for the current thrill me's and the tease me's? (Ie the ivory 28ff fits like the new 28g so I'd want the 28ff for a slightly smaller cup?)
-
Yeah, I think you could give the current 28FFs a try. But then, one cupsize down might be too small. It depends upon how much cleavage you want, I would say. :) I think in the new styles you could get away with either a 28G or a 28FF.

helpfulHi!
To me the fit seems quite okay but I am not an expert
Sure you scooped all tissue from your underarms though? Oh, and is the band tight enough? Not riding up just a little bit..?I couldn´t help noticing you said that the size varies with the colour, do you mean that the same Thrill me bra in other colours may be different in size?? I was thinking ordering a Thrill me bra but how do I dare now...

Hello, Fairy79.
Black bras are nearly always tighter in the band than their light counterparts. This is due to the dye process used to get the black colour. Sometimes it's not too bad, but sometimes girls prefer to go up a band size to accommodate the change!
-
While the black thing is also an issue, I was referring to the fact that the Thrill Me design and sizing changed a few times when they first came out. There is a good explanation here:http://www.bratabase.com/external/?link=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.bratabase.com%2Fblog%2F2012%2Fmar%2F15%2Fthrill-me-tease-me-explain-me-183%2F%255D

helpfulOn most girls the back band in these bras sits below the band in the front so to speak. When I looked at your band I have not seen that was the fit issue you had stated as well. But that's a band riding up just slightly in the back. But for this particular model I think it rides up quite a lot as I've seen in sitting lower on most.
So I think the only way you can decide is if you have comfort or not. Most of my bras rides up that way if I don't have really tight bands. I'm also wide and wide rooted and high on chest. Bras are bitches for these kind of boobs really ;/

I've got a short torso so even though it might look like the band is too high in general, it is still below my shoulder blades. It's just not as tight as I would prefer.

The pictures were taken after a full day of wearing the bra on the loosest hook. The band is really stretchy (it stretches to 81 cm) but taller than most so I was seeing if I could get away with it. If it is fastened on a tighter hook, the bulging tends to go away.
I'm pretty sure there is no quadboob/gapping going on even at the beginning of the day after scooping.
