Panache » Andorra Plunge (5676) » 34G 34:9
Issue resolved
I'll remeasure my perimeter to see where I stand, and I'll look for bras with a higher gore and more support.
Thanks everyone for your help!
Original problem
So there is a slightly-noticeable-under-a-knit-top quadboob that happens when I scoop an' swoop, which is fixed by minor shifting yet only temporarily. I believe my boobs are soft and that allows them to slip a bit more in the bra to look good temporarily, then slip out towards the center as the day goes on. There is wrinkling at the bottom of the cup (like an unoccupied sliver of kinda collapsed cup space. There is also a bit of wrinkling on the sides in the band section right next to the bottom of the cup. I'm not sure if this is due to the cup being too small by overall volume, or if it is just too shallow.
The band fits nicely and the wires don't poke at all. I don't notice the quadboob when I put on a low cut top, plus it looks excellent top less after the minor shifting.
It also seems as if the bra may shift downward throughout the day when I wear it. I'm not sure what's up with that, cause the band is definitely snug on the loosest hook. The side picture shows how my band is horizontal, even though in other pictures the bottom of the band is a little rolled up.
I'm still new to sizing so I'm not entirely sure how to compensate for the things that kind of bug me about it.
Should I go down a size, or just shift my boobs into the bra more? It seems the lace allows some give. It's weird because it really seems to me that I am between cup sizes and that a 34GG wouldn't fit me. :/

helpfulI can see more than one problem here. I actuall;y think that the cups are not too big, but too small. They can't contain your breasts. You're basically popping out of the top. The bra also does not appear stable enough to support the weight of your breasts.
This bra just may not be for you. It does look as though a bigger size would have too-wide wires, and that might not solve the problem with breast weight. But the 34G is too small.
Have you tried the Andorra full cup? I ask because it really isn't full coverage, it is more like a balcony bra in terms of coverage. The higher center gore would give more support and stability.

I'm no expert but to me this bra looks at least a cupsize (maybe two) too small. It seems that the higher center gore on the full cup version would also provide better support, as well as the side support that many are a fan of.
I also second the suggestion about trying a brand or style with narrower wires. You seem like you need a narrower, deeper cup than this style can offer.
Hope this helps!

Thank you! It's often hard to tell when a bra has narrower wires since I order all of my bras online. The stock pictures don't show the sides of the bra most of the time. Any suggestions on finding narrower styles?

I have no personal experience with Ewa Michalak but I know she is renowned for making bras with narrow and deep cups :)

Yeah, I second the Ewa Michalak Suggestion! They just came out with a bra construction called the "S" shape that was made to be really supportive for large, soft breasts. Really, ALL of their bras are pretty supportive and give a great shape. Great brand.
I also know that Freya usually has narrower wires than Panache, if you'd rather figure out your size before ordering from Poland. I don't know much about Fantasie and Elomi, but they are both part of the same company that Freya belongs to, so their bras may be narrow too (and perhaps more supportive in general than Freyas, especially the higher you go up in cupsize).
As far as trying to figure out which styles have narrow wires, that's what Bratabase is for! :) Even if you can't remember which measurements mean "wide" and which ones mean "narrow" (I sure can't), you can use the comparing tool to compare a potential purchase with a bra you already own to see which one is deeper and which one has narrower cups. It's really useful!

I have never had a good look at an Andorra plunge to compare it to the full cup. So I suggest comparing to the measurements on the site to get a better idea of how it compares to yours.
Freya sometimes has narrower wires than Panache, but in the case of the Andorra full cup, it is pretty narrow bra. So I don't think Freya is going to be more narrow in this case.
Elomi has wide cups because they are a plus-size brand. Fantasie has some wide and some narrow bras; there is a lot of variance in fit there.

helpfulSome good points have been made, I do feel like I have to add a few thoughts.
First, I think you should remeasure your perimeter because it's very likely it's 37cm or more. This will help you get more accurate suggestions. I know it's hard to determine your root, it my help ifyou lay on the back braless and let your boobs slide to the sides - where the fold is, that's where your root is.Secondly, you need a heavy lifter, and those are rarely sexy. Look at Elomi as a brand, I think they would be supportive enough for you.
Panache Jasmine in 34H might be a good start, Tangos might do too and maybe even ariza. And if you insist on plunges, then you *might* be able to pull off a 34 or 36GG freya deco.
But I sense you would feel much more secure in higher gore and more coverage, at least for everyday use.And thirdly, and I do think this is a most important one... I don't think you put your bra on properly. The wires are not in the crease of your brest, they are much lower. You aren't getting much lift so this means even the straps might be too loose. Anyway, here is some reading material to cover the basics

So which ever bra you choose, i think it's imperative you put it on as theese links suggest because withou that it's hard to establish the fit.
Well, that about covers itUpdated on February 20, 2013 Flag this

helpfulWell, I'm not the expert here, but I have soft boobs and as soon as I saw that bra on you I thought, if that were me, my boobs would have fallen out at the center before I could get the camera and take a photo. So I'm going to say the style doesn't lend itself to those of us with larger, softer boobs.

Thank you! I noticed with my other plunge that my boobs just sort of go where you push them. :)
-
Mine go where you push them too, but they don't stay. They like to get out and about.

helpfulI would at least try going down a band size and up a cup size, so a 32GG, and as mentioned go for a full cup to get more support. The bra does not look stable. It may just be the style.

Thanks! I haven't tried the Andorra full cup yet. I would like to try it out, I just wanted to get some input before I order overseas again. Return shipping gets pricey very quickly.
Do you think I should stay at 34G in the Andorra full cup? It's hard for me to tell.
