Issue resolved
Thanks to everyone.
I will now try:
Pour Moi St. tropez Full Cup
Panache Andorra Full Cup
Cleo Marcie (maybe also Zia, Olivia or Natasha)
Original problem
original problem:
I recently asked for fitting help with my Cleo Lucy in 30J (which was clearly too big in the cup) and was told I should try a 30HH.
Now I think the 30HH is slightly better but there are still some problems. Since I'm new to proper bra fitting and made a few mispurchases in the past, I would love to hear more advice. The problem is: there is slight quadraboob (mostly on my right boob)and I can not fit all breast tissue from the side inside the cup. I made the straps longer but then the bra feels not very supportive at all and I get not much uplift. I can fit a whole hand under the band, this means it is too big? Or is this style wrong for me at all?

helpfulMost of the support should come from the band- if you both feel unsupported and can fit a hand under the band, the band is too large.
I felt like the Cleo Lucy ran a little generous in the band and was extremely stretchy when I tried it on in a store. I'd try the bra in a 28J if you can find it, and if that doesn't work try another style.Updated on August 24, 2012 Flag this

helpfulThe lace cuts in, that is not good. If you really like the Lucy you could try to get it in another colour, the berry one is more open and allows a tiny bit more room in this area. I think if you try the yellow Lucy in 28J the problem will only get worse.
I would thus try another style. The different unpadded Cleo Balconettes are all quite similar, yet they fit all a little different. If you find a Cleo Balconette where you really like the design, give it a shot you might hit jackpot.
Considering that you find the wires of the Lucy too narrow and too short I would like to suggest trying the Panache Tango II Balc. in 30HH. The PourMoi? St. Tropez Fullcup might also work for you.

Have you tried the Tango Plunge? If the Tango is a decent fit otherwise and only the centergore comes up too high the Tango Plunge might be a possible solution. Just note that the Tango Plunge is a bit capricious, if you get it either order it along with some other bras where you intend to return one anyway or shoot it extremely cheap on ebay.
Also another bra that you could look at is the PourMoi? St. Tropez.

No, I haven't tried the Tango Plunge. I thought that plunge bras are not suitable for me, because I have problems with the Freya Deco. But I have had problems with all Freya bras so far.
You mentionied on another of my fit requests that Bravissimo bras are suitable for me? Which one would you recommend in particular? I just saw the new Cleo Zia on Bravissimo and fell in love. So I will order from them anyway sometime (have to get a credit card first) and can then try different other bras too. I ordered mostly from Brastop so far, but unfortunately a lot of bras are not aviable there in my size. -
I haven't got a lot of experience with the latest models from Bravissimo. I know that the Broderie is similar in fit to the Lucy in terms of general cupshape, but it seems to be sold out in your size. I 'm relatively sure that Lucine might work, bc it isn't as deep and with a cup rim that is more open, if you can handle the plunge. I also know that the Satine and the Kimono have gotten rave reviews, hailing them as the best constructed plunges ever - "no falling out". Aside from that ... Hmm, I just spend about 30 min looking at what Bravissimo has available in 32H/30HH and nothing from Bravissimo struck me as "right" for you. The Melrose and Linear Rose bras might work, they are supposed to allow more volume on top, but that is just guesswork. Panache Jasmin and Panache Fern would possibly a very good fit for you. The Panache Jasmin is supposed to be based on the Panache Andorra, it has the same stretchy lace that works so well on so many women bc it adjusts to the shape of the breasts yet is firm enough to keep things in.

Duh, totally forgot about Cleo Marcie!
-
Just saw that the Cleo Olivia is still available in 30HH, check that out, it is on sale.
-
Thanks for all your suggestions. I've taken a closer look at all of these bras and read some reviews. Sadly the Cleo Olivia is already sold out. I don't know about the plunge bras. I've got the Freya Deco but it wont really fit so I think plunge bras aren't for me. (I will add a fit request on this, it might helf me figure out whats wrong, the size or the style)
Has the Andorra the same cut like the Ariza?? I tried the Ariza in a 32H and I didn’t like the thin straps and the fit was weird.
I found the Cleo Natasha and Panache Jasmine aviable in my size at a online shop in my country and will try these two first (no shipping cost for once) Perhaps they fit otherwise I try some of the Bravissimo bras.

helpfulLucy is very streachy in the band, so try a 28 band and go up a cup size. Are your boobs full on top? try altering the center gore like this
http://brasihate.blogspot.com/2012/01/cleo-lucy-review.htmlalso, I'd reccomend the panache andorra!

Thanks. I often have the problem that the lace on top of the cup cuts in although there is empty fabric on bottom so I think my boobs are full on top.
Do you know if the Panache Andorra has the same cut as the Panache Ariza?Do you know if the Panache Andorra has the same cut like the Ariza? It looks quite the same. I did not like the Ariza.

If you cannot fill out the bottom of a bra and the lace cuts in on top it can mean that the wires are too narrow, in this case you are dealing with an Orange-in-a-glass. Or that the bra is too big for you. Or that you aren't putting it on correctly. Just something to keep in mind.
In regards to your question: The wire width of the Andorra is similar to the Ariza. But the wires of the Andorra are shorter and the cut is completely different. The Andorra has a 4-part-cup with a side support panel inside the cup. The cut of the Andorra is new for Panache, it is Panache's first 4-part-cup. The Andorra works really well on a lot of women. The best thing is probably the elasticiated lace on top of the cup of the Andorra, thus no cutting in. Tip: Some women do better in the Andorra if they go up in cupsize and shorten the straps, this can give a nice rounded shape when the shape in your regular size is not so good. (I have the same issue with the Panache Tango II Balc.)

The shape that andorra give is much better than the ariza. Also, it has three rows of hooks, for me this is very important as I do find that cleo line gives the best shape, but I hate their bands. Andorra gives a similar shape to the cleo lines and you wont be needing to alter the central gore. And the forgiving lace I think will work best with your shape :) also, here's a bras i hate review on it. Im a big fan of this blog as you can see :)

t_maia : I've had this orange in the glass effect with my curvy Kate Princess bras in 30J. the lace cuts in on the top but there was many empty fabric on the side and also some on the bottom of the cup. I thought I may needed a 30JJ, but due to help here I found out that 30J was too big and gladly never bought a 30JJ.
So you recommend that I try a 30J in the Andorra? Does it run big or small in the band? Maybe I need a 32HH? -
Vlatka : Thanks I read the bras I hate blog too, but haven't noticed that review. It sounds very good, I might give it a try. I prefer also 3 hooks. I don't know why they don't make 3 hooks on Cleo bras in bigger cupsizes?! Some Cleo bras I found not that supportive because of that. But I love the shape they give and the design
-
The Andorra runs fairly normal for Panache bras. It is similar to the Tango and looser than the Ariza and the Cleo Marcie. It is probably a bit tighter than the Lucy, but not much. I would suggest going for a 30J, bc the Andorra runs a tiny bit small in the cup and gives a more rounded shape if you take it one cupsize up. The elastic lace on the Andorra compensates well if the cup is a bit too big. Also the wires of the Andorra are narrower than on the Tango, I think you need the wider wires of the 30J. If you want to order another size for comparision, go for a 28J instead of a 30HH. (Sadly, the Andorra goes only up to J-Cup.)
-
t_maia: Thanks. I have not thought about ordering a 28J Andorra because I thought it will be too small anyway since my overbust measurements changed also about 3 cm. I have ordered now Panache Andorra in 30J, a Pour Moi St. Tropez in 30HH and a Cleo Marcie in 30HH. Hope they will fit and I will post pictures of them as soon I recieved them.

helpfulDear Alisa,
I am pretty sure that your size is 28J or 30HH. And one of your your breasts is just a little bit bigger than the other one (most ladies have this but do not notice). So here are some tips:
1.Do no try any bras bigger than band 30
And cupsize bigger than J
So you save a lot of time and effort.
2. Try bras with flexible lace, they make room for the bigger breast (Totally agree with Pour moi St Tropez)
3. Choose the bra to accomodate the bigger breast to avoid any pain/irritationUpdated on September 8, 2012 Flag this

thanks. I've got a few bras that fit in a 28J, but I think only because the band runs big.( the band of my Cleo Bonnie in 28J is almost the same lenght as the band of the Panache Tango 32H!) I can also wear a 32H if the band runs small (Tango) but after 1-2 days of wearing the band stretches and rides up slightly. So I will focus on 30 bands in the future and if they don't fit, try some sister sizes.

helpfulI think your bra is maybe as much as two back sizes too large. The cup size looks O.K. so I would try a 28JJ or 28K to start with, if these sizes are available. I am very sorry but I have never seen anything in this back size.

I don't think that I need a band size smaller than 28 because my measurements are about 29-30.5inch underbust. A 26 would be too small. I have 2 bras that fit me in a 28J. I think 28JJ or K would be too big. But I will try some bras in those sizes if I get the chance to.

helpfulHey!
I wear a 28GG in the Cleo Lucy and a 28GG in the Freya Deco. I used to have the same problem with my bust falling together in the middle, but that was because my band was too big, and the cups too small! I bet you need a 28 band, but, unfortunately, the highest Freya Decos go is 28GG, and their unpadded bras just can't compare to Cleo's.... I'd try Cleo by Panache's moulded cup bra.

Hi!
Are there any Cleo moulded bras above GG? I did not found any so far. If I need a 28 band in Cleo, I will need a cupsize J or JJ. I know there will be a new moulded bra by Curvy Kate (Smoothie) which goes up to J Cup.
now I start to think that a 32 band is really too big for me and I really need 30 or 28 bands. I could not really believe that because I'm not thin.
-
Yes I think too that the 28J will be even smaller, therefore I haven't even ordered it. I read that the l^Lucy runs small in the cup (why I tried a 30J first) but it was too big. I will give up on this bra for now. Its not a stable construction and perhaps thats why it does not give much support. I tried the Cleo Bonnie and Cleo Alexa and they work better for me.
I'm weirdly between sizes in the tango (and in other bras often too) I tried it in a 32GG, and then the top of the cups cuts in because its not very open on top. t^Then i tried 30HH which was a little bit too small in the cup (no quadraboob) but it made a weird pointy shape. So I found that the Tango works best for me in a 32H. The wires are not too wide, band runs fairly tight so it fits, also the whole construction of the bra is stable and it feels supportive. The only problems I have with it that the center gore comes too high and pokes (after a few weeks of wearing it gets better) and the straps are not fully adjustable. I'm between sizes in this because the 32H is a little too big on my smaller boob. TI really think there is no such thing as a perfect bra and every bra comes with compromises.
