This is my first longline ever. I really like the look of it but it's so dang hard to do up! I'm just going to keep messing around with it until I find the best way to do so. I got it in a swap and I think that if I had been actually buying it I would have gotten a 30 back. Luckily for me the 28 is Freya's typical stretchy band and it stretches to 29.5. There are 6(!) hooks and 3 rows of eyes which is very nice. The print extends all the way to the back of the bra which is very nice and ... all the trimmings are black. It's a nice, soft pattern that's not garish. The band is comfortably snug but flips up a little if I do something like bend over. The wires are a little wider than I need but not bad at all. I'm surprised the gore tacks because it is very wide at an inch. There's some overall wrinkling in the cups and on my right side I can't quite fill the bottom. I get a little quad on my right side too if I stand up straight but other than that it's a near perfect fit. Perfectly spherical and comfy. I think I was built for halfcups! The straps are wide and very long but comfortable with no digging. I get a nice subtle cleavage too. Another grip is the lace at the top won't lay down and I wish the back was a leotard back because I think it would look prettier. It looks a little awkward with the straps attached like they are. I was going to wear it as a crop top for drinks and such with friends but I'm not sure how actually comfortable I'd be with that. Overall, I'm very pleased with this bra. Just gotta figure out the best way to hook it up.

Edit: After wearing it for an hour or so, the band is either too tight or too constricting. I think it's the latter because it stretches to the perfect length. I must put this up for swap because it won't get too much wear from me. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />

Longline bras (or even midi-length which is what this one really is) feel much more constricting than a regular bra due the the width of the band. Although you may be able to stretch it manually, on the body it will fit smaller. Most people actually size up from their regular size. If you love this one you'll want a 30 or possibly even a 32.

    • wendybien Thanks, I didn't even think about that. I assumed it would work because of Freya's penchant for loose bands but it never occurred to me I might have problems with tightness due to the length of the band.

Yes even with Freya's stretchy materials a 4-5" band will have more "pull" than a regular bra band.

Pregnancy and longlines don't mix, so I've had to temporarily retire this bra. It never quite fit me even before I was pregnant, but I think it will probably work at some point in the middle of the postpartum weight loss process, when I can still fill the cups but don't have the belly anymore.

This bra unfortunately suffers from the band flipping problem that Freya longlines typically have. I've never had a perfectly flat stomach, but I wouldn't think I should have to size up in the band just for that - it's not too tight otherwise.

Other reviews I've read say this cut is wide and shallow, but I don't find it particularly so. The measurements seem to agree - a 1.6 depth ratio isn't that different from most other bras I own that people don't say this about.

This bra is just so soft! You hardely feel the cups while wearing it!

The band could be a bit smaller for me. I bought it new and I'm already closing it at the smallest hoock! So you might wanna size down if possible. The good thing about the band thought is that it doesn't strech a lot and it seems not to be one of the kind streching out very fast.

Absolutely gorgeous on. I found this bra to be quite structured and the long line to be a little restrictive, however maybe that's because it's brand new and hasn't been worn in yet. I was unsure as to whether I should go for the 28G. Whilst the 28G seemed to be a better fit based on the fact that I had no quad boob in it, I just didn't like how far back the under wires went under the arms. (not uncomfortable but just looked odd). Will probably end up buying the G cup as I don't think the FF will be practical for me.

The under ... wires on this bra sort of triangle out towards the armpit which gives full side coverage and suits my bust well as my breasts continue under my armpit. I personally don't know why some companies describe such bras as padded when they clearly don't have any padding. I prefer the term molding, although this bra isn't really molded either. It just has a thin double layer fabric for extra support, which I love. However if you are wanting padding or even molding that holds its shape this bra does not have any.

Cup height (measured from the outside center of the cup): 5.625"; 6" including lace

I have this in the cornflower blue color, which is beautiful--I was so excited to buy this bra!

I've been holding onto it for a couple of weeks now because I just don't understand it. I have and love several other Freya longlines in 28FF that fit just amazingly on me, but while the Piper technically fits, it just isn't... perfect.

The cup height is comparable to the other Freya longlines I own, but the lace doesn't lay flat and the cup seems to come up so much higher than the others on my short-rooted breasts. In ... fact, on my smaller breast, there is quite a lot of gapping at the top, even with an insert.

The straps also don't work for me--they are fully adjustable but still don't seem to adjust tight enough for me, even when fully tightened.

I wonder if both problems are caused by stretchier fabric than the other longlines, because I have the same issue in the straps with my Patsy Half-Cups, which is very stretchy.

Anyway, I wanted to love this bra so badly, but I think I'll have to rehome it.
