This is a really great strapless bra. The hand-shaped underwires provide incredible support. It's also very pretty https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
For a while, I thought I was a 30G because the Freya Lacey seemed to fit perfectly in a 30G, but after nearly every other 30G bra I bought was too small, I realized that I am actually a 30HH/J. Because of this "true size" confusion, I used to think that this bra ran small, but now I realize that it is probably true to size.
The band is on the tight side, so if you are a GG cup and sized out of this bra's size range, you can probably size up in the band to the sister size of your normal size.
hi brajunkie I really want to buy the black wonderbra ultimate strapless... But I hesitate between 30G and 32FF. I see you chose a 30 band. What are your own measurements? If I measure 29 inches, what would you suggest me? thanks!!!
I like this bra. At first I ordered a cup size too small, so I had to send for an exchange. I could tell it was a nice strapless, and I was super excited when the 30G came in the mail so I could tell how it was supposed to fit. The results? Not perfect, but better than any other strapless that I've tried...Anyways, though...
Even though I normally wear 28 bands, I was able to fasten this one comfortably on the middle hook. As to the rest of the fit, it's an interesting bra. I feel like it comes up a little high under my arms, but at ...the same time, the higher the bra sits, the more secure I feels that it's not going to slide down my body. I would feel better if this bra gave you the some kind of multi-way strap option because after a while, the silicone starts to dig in and it's not as comfortable anymore. Too much weight to carry, and all that...
As for the cups, those plastic hand things really do a good job of holding me up and in place (better than any other strapless that I've tried). They give a really nice shape, but at the same time, it's not as centered as my breasts naturally sit. That plastic hand structure adds a much more rounded appearance on the sides of my breasts than I get with regular underwire bras. It holds its own shape. As such, from the front, the hands give you a much more hourglass type look than bras that push you up and center. In profile, my breasts are sitting closer to my body than their usual level of projection.
And then, of course, the bra gives amazing cleavage. Center center gore doesn't lie flat on me, though and I don't think going up a cup size would even fix this. Maybe it's just the way the bra is constructed? Idk. Overall, though, this strapless does a pretty nice job. Thumbs up Read more 228 more words
Theres alot to say about this bra, but more articulate bloggers have already captured most of the issues and highlights of this particular item. My only recommendation is to ignore the cup width measurements on this bra! It doesn't have unwire, it has firm plastic inserts that wrap around your ribs and lift your breasts. It's impossible to get an accurate width measurement. I got this in my usual size of a 30G and it fit damn near perfectly. Though I wish I'd got the 30FF to enhance cleavage a bit more. Oh well, live and learn!
Looks good and unnoticeable under clothing, but makes my breasts look a bit pointy and very separated. Fits quite well but not great in the cups. A bit tight around the ribcage.
This would be a great strapless bra if I had gotten it in my correct size. The older Ultimate Strapless models are said to run one cup size small, but this newer model definitely fits true to size. The wing height is a little tall so the outer cups come up high, but I had no problem with the bra slipping down or being uncomfortable. The inner "hands" do a good job of providing support (even with being one cup size too big)
Oh my! That looks great! Does it stay up? What is it like on the inside of the cups?
Thanks! I bought it used and it's a little stretchy so I use it with a rixie clip. It stays up better than any strapless bra I've had so far. I do wish they made 28 bands though. There are "hands" on the inside of the cups that hold you up. It sounds like it'd be uncomfortable but it's the complete opposite!
At first I thought it woud fit, but since it's exatly the same cut as 32E - Panache ยป Zara (5086) it gave me quadboob. Boo-hoo, it looked very promising.
Like many women with large breasts and/or a small ribcage, I've struggled all my life to find a strapless bra that stayed up and supported by boobs instead of slipping down my torso.
When I wear this bra, I find that I'm always in a state of half inhalation in my breathing cycle. I keep my diaphragm expanded slightly in order to keep the bra from slipping down. This results in very short breaths as well as sore and tense middle back muscles.
The bra gapes from my chest wall a good amount that I can peek through and see my toes. The cups don't fit either, they're a bit small. I'm thinking of taking it to get the band altered.
The shape, as most of the strapless is not working on me. It feels quite bulky when wearing, and don't feel supported. The underwires are at an odd place, might have to try a size down to see if it makes any difference, but as for the Freya strapless (which I tried in 30G, 28G, and 30FF) I think it is just not for my shape.
The bra is constructed very solidly, it feels very secure. Band is nice and firm. It's beautiful with the black lace over the tan back fabric and the velvet trim is something very unique and luxurious. Very nice cleavage. The only problem I had with it was the cup running a wee bit too small, probably closer to a 30FF than a 30G.
This is a great strapless bra, unfortunately the 30G is too big in the cup. It's not that noticeable since the cups are so rigid, but the top of the cup cut into my armpit fat and it get uncomfortable pretty fast.
This is the first bra that's ever fit me perfectly! It's just a hair (as in barely and not noticeable to anyone but me if I look just close enough) too small for my left breast, and fine for my right. My right breast is more than a full cup smaller than my left, so I always have to have padding. With this bra I don't.
It's soft and so very very comfortable. There's no poking from any of the wires or fabric, the bands are soft and don't chafe. I would say it fits true to sizing for a 30G. The middle notches are perfect for me, and as the bra stretches out the tightest notches will be great.
I can wear low cut shirts of any color, even a sheer white, because the soft nude-pink is so soft in color.
The Ultimate Strapless Bra does what it should do and what it promises, it keeps your boobs up without straps, more so I'd say than any other bra I've ever tried. On top of that it gives really nice cleavage and shape to boot. There is no center gore because of its unique construction but I feel it fits as it should and there is no quad-boob. The band is VERY firm and while this helps with the support and is comfortable even for the first few hours, the plastic 'hands' that keep you in place so wonderfully do start to dig a bit uncomfortably into the ribcage ...under your ribs after that. For me, this is also not a strapless bra that will work under everything. Under certain tops (perhaps with thinner material?) it does give quite the protruding profile, something quite noticeable to myself at least, though no one's remarked on it. Additionally, I'm sized in the biggest cup available in the smallest band and in a G-cup the cups do come up pretty high on the sides. Before this, I'd ordered this bra in the wrong size, a 30F, which was way too small, but didn't seem to come up so high. This I suppose is logical and isn't a huge deal for me as I have a long torso, but it does limit one's outfit options. This is a great bra though for the outfits it does work with. Too big for me in both band and cup. I bought this from eBay and it arrived smelling of scented laundry detergent (i only used unscented) and was really well worn.
The band under the cups tends to roll in a bit. I'm quite full on top, so i tend to slide out a little as the cups are rather stiff. I fixed this however by shortening the bottom of band between the underwires (the gore?), which makes the shape better for me. (I have actually done this for all my push-up bra styles).
This is my first strapless and I never really belived I could wear one but I've been proven wrong. I haven't actually worn it for an occasion, only around the house but I'm very optimistic.
I tried several sizes on in the store and almost bought the 32FF which both myself and the fitter thought a good fit. Then for comparison she brought me the 30G and it felt perfect. Though I do own 30-band bras I most often fit in a 32. I think perhaps the band runs a little loose. I also tried on another Wonderbra model and had the same experience with 32 being to loose.
The bra has surprisingly good uplift using the weird "hand shaped" wires (which are not wires at all) and I feel very secure and held in, even when bending over, which I had not expected. I especially like the separated-boob-cleavage.
It's a great bra but unfortunately it's too small for me, as I need a 34, I bought the same bra in 34 and it fits perfectly, this one has only been tried on but never worn.
The one I have in the correct size is great for almost everything, even dancing but not sports, the lace is very sexy.
I think this is another great t-shirt bra. It does have pink straps and edge detailing rather than nude, which do show through on white t-shirts, but not enough for me to get upset about. It's comfortable. The band is a bit loose compared to some others, but definitely not too loose. The cups are maybe just a bit small, and I think a 30GG would be a better fit, but do not believe it comes in a GG. It's a good basic t-shirt bra with no frills or extras to speak of.
I ordered a 65G. It also said 30F on the tag (can't remember if it was US, UK or both). Wonderbra is obviously converting cup sizes. I wish they'd mentioned that because I know I can't fit into an F. The cups are very stiff and curve in at the top, so they have to completely enclose both boobs. The edges would rub and wrinkle my skin pretty bad. I really liked the shape though. The cups are a bit too far apart, but it didn't look wide or bulky (of course I can't say how a bigger size will look). Some reviewers have had difficulties attaching the straps, but mine were very loose. One popped out when I was trying it on. The band felt true to size. I think I exchanged it for an H/FF (the returns form was confusing). If it fits, I'll probably start with the middle hooks.
