Me: tall roots reaching collarbone, very close-set (touching), average to narrow width, shallow, splayed east-west, FOT or even (unsure), centre-full, high set, short torso, broad shoulders, 26" snug UB and 34" leaning bust.
This fits me perfectly in the cups, not too deeply projected, not too shallow. The cups are not notoriously wide like many other TR bras; they are 5" even, which is perfect for me. (Is that narrow or average for this bra size??) That said, it is not as supportive as I'd ideally want. I hike the straps up way tight to compensate but then they try to saw off my arms. I'll try using a ...Rixie clip to tighten the band, which is TTS, to see if that helps. The fabric is mesh but delicate and soft and not stretchy. There are side support mesh panels sewn in. The cool hot pink colour is great.
update: support isn't great with this bra, i guess due to the mesh fabric. as well the mesh band is pretty stretchy, like a freya, so for support ill use a rixie clip with this bra. otherwise its so cute and the cups fit perfectly. Read more 85 more words
It´s been a long time since I have posted a review and I wanted to make this one properly, with pictures and everything... So, here we go!
This bra is really beautiful and the colour combination is perfect for my skin tone.
However, as much as it pains me to say that, the fit is disastrous in my size range. I was warned that the bra runs tight in the band and the cups are wide and shallow, so I went up both band and cup size...
The wires are insanely wide - I mean, I know I have pretty narrow roots, so there always is some space left ...on the sides, but these wires are hurting my shoulderblades (pretty sure no one has breast roots that wide). Going down a cup size probably isn´t an option for me, because I have a lot of central fullness and I would have experienced spillage in a smaller cup.
The cups are quite tall, which is fine for people with high set breasts/a lot of upper fullness/both. The last category includes me. However, they are kind of tall even on the sides, which means the sides of the cups are hurting my arms a bit.
Also, since the wires take almost two thirds of the band length, the band is very tight. I normally prefer a 28 band, but this one is a touch too small. Two rows of hooks of an extender solve these most of these probems. And of course, I bent the wires to make the cups deeper and less wide.
The straps are positioned too wide for my frame, so they are almost falling of my shoulders. They are also quite narrow. The cups are halfpadded, so keep in mind you might experience in-cup quadding.
The reason I still want to wear this bra - I can´t really return it https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":-)" />, plus, it doesn´t give me cleavage and is kind of minimizing, which is exactly what I need for some low cut dresses I own. And I love the look of the bra. And the cute heart shape things on the straps (not sure how they are called?). So, I´m gonna overlook all these issues mentioned above. Love makes us do crazy things...
This is the second of two sizes Tutti Rouge sent me to review in Lilliana. The 30E I do not get any quadding, but the wires become much wider in this size. Full review is on my blog and has a review on both the 30D and 30E.
I was given this to review from Tutti Rouge when I got my Nichole. Since Nichole runs big we decided on 30D. I was asked if I would like to try Lillana as well and I said yes. Tutti Rouge wanted me to try the 2 bras in the same size despite my saying it would most likely be too small. Sure enough Lilliana is much too small in 30D. They were kind enough to send me my usual size of 30E I have a review of both sizes on my blog.
I really really really wanted this bra to fit, as I LOVE the esthetic of Tutti Rouge, especially the tattoo print of this bra. However, this will probably be my first and last Tutti Rouge bra as it was not a great fit for me. The good news is, the band fits looser than I thought it would (I have been told that Tutti Rouge bands are really really tight when really this bra's band runs true to size), the wires are the correct breadth (broad) and the bottom parts of the cups are shallow but not too shallow. The bad things about this bra's shape are thus: the cups are too short and there is too much projection at the top parts of the cups.
I recommend this bra for anyone who has broad roots, shallowness at the bottom parts of the breasts, short roots, and an FOT shape. If you like bras such as the Curvy Kate Portia, this might work for you!
This bra is gorgeous but is obviously not the right shape for my breasts. The cups are wide enough but too shallow for my projected full shape. I can feel a gap between my breasts and the wire in the centre, the gore overlaps wires and the lacy fabric at the top of the cups cuts in. Such a shame because it's adorable, great quality and the knickers are super comfy.
Even though Tallulah Sunshine is not a technical fit, I did a bit of superwomen wire bending on it, and also wore it racerback to make it less east-west and more projected and narrow! The set is so pretty that I'm ready to overlook the fact that a 28G would be better! What do you think? Check the full review here: http://www.myfashioninsiderblog.com/2016/03/lingerie-tutti-rouge-tallulah-sunshine.html
This bra runs huge, people. It runs a full band and full cup size large, almost 2 cup sizes large I'd guess. The cups are very, very deep. It's narrow and projected, the only such shape offered by Tutti Rouge. I have listed this bra, it's currently altered to a 28FF-G but is reversible so it would fit a 32F. I'm sad it's not a perfect fit because aesthetically it's beautiful. Full review on blog!
After much to do, my Jessica bra finally arrived! I decided on this size, which is one cup and band size up from my usual with unpadded Tutti Rouge, because I read the band on this ran firm. I also sized up in cup, like I do with TR's padded bras, because of the booster inserts. I've also seen a lot of ads of this bra, and some samples from a couple of blogs, with people in their normal TR size, and it always looks like the bra cuts in. I definitely could have sized down in band, as I found it to be stretchy, like ... class="mentioned-item">Tutti Rouge Nichole Bra , and the band is comprised of one layer of stretch mesh, also like Nichole. Tutti Rouge Liliana Bra (TU100) , I believe, has such a firm band because of the 2-ply mesh. I'm currently somewhere between a 34 and 36, with the odd 38 thrown in for comfort more than support. Granted, I've also never tried a TR 36 band, so maybe it's standard. Anyhow, you can see my measurements for comparison with other TR bands.
Cup size, I think this is spot on. I don't have any quadding, even with all the booster cookies in, so I consider this a win. Without the boosters, the bra is not baggy at all, and I fill the cups well. It's more that the shape becomes much more natural than compared with the boosters. The support is very minimal with the boosters, as I think the design was created in mind to wear the boosters in them all the time. With the cookies, my shape is VERY round, almost like a padded bra. I like the shape I get with the boosters best, but I could reasonably see myself wearing the bra without them for lounging, or when I'm wearing something that doesn't do well with much padding -- like a button up blouse.
I don't get the butt cleavage with this, but more a slightly swelled round shape with all the boosters in. Granted, I really don't get butt cleavage at all, because my breasts are splayed and my tissue is soft. Those with more firm tissue, and in a smaller cup size than is probably needed, could definitely get some nicely cracked butt cleav, if that's your thing. It's not for me, so I'm happy with my swells.
The only caution I have with this is the awkward lines created by the boosters. I included a pic of me wearing the bra with both boosters in (my first pic of myself on bratabase!), and you can clearly see the indentation of said boosters. I generally wear a cami or tank top underneath everything, so I think that'll smooth it out to not be visible under clothes. Those who do not do the same should take caution. I'm hoping it'll smooth out with more wear, but can't be sure yet. If you look closely at TR's promo pics for Jessica, esp on their instagram, where the pics are more 'real' than their website 'shopped models, you can also see the line where the boosters begin and end, and their effect on each girl's shape. I don't think this is enough of a deter to keep me from wearing it, but it's something to be aware of. My only other complaints is the wires are too wide and shallow at the bottom, but I experience that with basically every bra that isn't Polish -- and even some that are from Poland.
All and all, I'm glad to have this in my arsenal. It's comfortable as all get out, and I like the options for wear it provides.
Lilliana has beautiful details all over it and I fell in love with its appearance. it seems to be well made. I took a chance with the 38J, hoping it would work out and sadly it is just too big on me. I will be looking to replace this in a smaller size as soon as my wallet my allow.
I love the color and unique nature of this bralette. The silohette under clothes is quite minimized for me, I wish it allowed for more fullness. Overall the "cups" are too separate for me as well. It annoys me that the verticle seem doesn't line up with my nipples, which again is because of the separation, so that it maybe show nipple under clothing, although I never noticed that happening specifically. However it also makes my waist look excellent. I own another Tutti Rougette bralette and would definitely recommend sizing down in bandsize (maybe even twice). Overall it's super comfortable and pretty.
Buying a new brand online without trying on is always kind of a gamble (I'm looking at you Curvy Kate Scantilly). However, this was an unbeatable price and it came in a 28E. I've actually been losing weight during the lockdown because of home cooking and the general lack of office snacks. I've gotten used to wearing old worn out 30 bands that are probably closer to a 32 now, and now the 28 band feels tight. I don't think it's too tight, just an unfamiliar level of tight for me. This 1/2 cup/balcony style fits my wide, shallow shape well. The wires are surprisingly wide which is ...just fine with me. "Normal" width boobs may not like this though. I'm also long in the torso and I found the straps a little bit too short but again, wearable. I also consider myself to be really narrow set and most gores are too tall or too wide for me. The gore on this is actually decently comfortable. The print, of course, is adorable. The black lace ruffle on the under bust tends to flip up. I love the gold heart shaped sliders. I also got the matching panties and they are also adorable. That extra small fits my US size 2/4 ass fine. But the cut is a little cheeky, which I don't care for. Read more 115 more words
Being my first bra of this size, I feel that I am confidently well on my way to finding my true size. In fact, I think that this is remarkably close, if not it. Besides being slightly itchy (that happens with lace), it felt really good. I didn't feel it digging anywhere, and the band wasn't too loose or tight. I didn't feel the underwire poking me, either. The only thing really wrong with the bra would be some slight gaping at the top of the cup. The top edge of the cup it sat flush because of the elastic lining it, but the top of the cup itself was not flush with my skin.
It looks like a pretty good fit, especially considering it's your first in your size! It's pretty too!
It is super pretty and I agree that it looks pretty good. I wonder if you tighten your strap just a teensy bit if it will help with the gaping? Also, I couldn't see the side very well in the picture, but I was wondering if the cup is extending fairly far under your armpit, and beyond your breast?
veggiechic I haven't tried tightening the straps because they felt pretty solid, but I'll give that a try. Also, it's very possible that the underwire doesn't quite match up with my breast tissue. I'm really struggling to figure out where my tissue ends and the rest of me begins, both on the sides and the top. I /think/ that I have short rather than tall tissue based on when I lean over, but when I stand up it seems higher, maybe? And if I'm struggling with the height, then I'm really struggling with the width. I think my tissue is deep, but it could be narrow (I think that's the word).
This bra is like the other Tutti Rouges I've tried, a pleasant surprise. This time, that's because the bra is a half cup that 1) actually attempts to stay in the IMF of my projected, full-on-bottom, narrow boobs; 2) doesn't have comically wide-set straps for a 30-band bra, just because it's a large cup; and 3) looks cool. Every time I put it on, I think, 'damn. I love this bra.' The band is quite firm, the firmest one I've ever gotten for this brand. I think a 28-band person could get away with it, and some days I wear the bra with an extender. Unlike other, more mesh-based ...Tutti Rouges, I don't think it will stretch much. It just seems very secure and has a lot more fabric to it. The cups are true-to-size. They are definitely not full-coverage, which can be hard to find in this size range for me with a good fit. They offer a little more coverage than other half cups. This is because the straps are not attached way out at the armpits, and the upside-down V attachment style takes away from boob showiness. Even though the lift and support are lofty in this bra, it's not big on cleavage. Personally, all that is fine for me because I don't even own any low cut shirts. 😂 I just don't feel like I need my whole boob covered in every bra to be supported properly (looking at you, Panache, Fantasie, etc.)! This bra is actually super-supportive. The padding is very light and breathable, no nipple showthrough but no added bulk either. The wires are wider than my narrow roots, but they don't bother me, even though I'm sensitive about wires.
It's also SO flattering. It is minimizing without flattening me, it is to my taste aesthetically, and it is a half cup that actually loves me back, the rarest bra find of all for my particular boob situation. The extra strap thing that stopped being interesting to me back in 2015 being entirely detachable is a welcome touch. You can attach it to the lower strap hoops, or to the heart-shaped strap sliders if you're short like me. The part where its center piece attaches to the gore is not visible once attached. However, my detachable strap started unwraveling the day I got the bra, so that...sucks. Even though I was never gonna use it, I did pay for it! This bra is so fun for me. It reminds me of what I miss about Tutti Rouge pre-Rougette: the playfulness, the welcome experimentation with full bust design. The size range...
The model I got is the older, original one. I tried to buy one the same size from ASOS. But the one that's out now, from Rougette-era Tutti, is cheaper feeling, has less compelling black overlay, and is just not the same as this original model. It doesn't even fit me. So for this perfect one, maybe try Ebay or your local boutique. Read more 386 more words
Beautiful bra, it's a shame it looks so bad on my smaller side! It's also too projected and closed on top for me in general. The removable inserts don't help at all. I'm calling this one a failure on me.
This bra runs WAY off from the labeled size! I am about a 32F and these cups fit, but the band still rides up! It measures at 32.75. I will probably have to get it altered soon as it rides up a bit even on the last hook. The cup construction reminds me a lot of unpadded Cleos. The cups on this bra feel light as a feather, I think it'll be great for summertime. I get a small diagonal wrinkle on my smaller side, but it's not a big deal. I'm just happy that the top actually lays flat on me! It also feels comfortable and the design is very cute. Wires are narrow and cups are deep. My one comfort issue is that the wires are quite hard, I will probably end up bending the gore out because it stabs me a little.
My current size is a 32FF, and I sister sized to a 30G since I read this runs stretchy. This fits close to a 32FF or possibly between a 32FF and a 32G.
This bra runs a band size large, and a little large in the cups as well (maybe less than half a cup?). I can't quite fill out the tops of the cups (especially near the center), but I'm not sure if I could get away with a full cup size smaller.
The Mint colorway is so pretty and delicate. I would love to try this in a 30FF (if only I could find one).
Not my favourite print. It was titled Ivory and is described as having a 'Brighton Rock' print but is actually pale pink. The wires are pretty wide, too wide for me, yet the rest of the cup appears to fit in this size I think. Where the three seams of the outer fabric meet at the bottom of the cup, it centres more towards the gore side rather than the middle of the cup contributing to the fact the wires look too wide but just on the outside. It's quite difficult to explain but I've tried to show it in the pictures. It doesn't make it uncomfortable to ...wear and the strange shape isn't very obvious under clothes but it just seems a little to me. Perhaps it's actually too big but showing as a false fit on me? I don't have much experience on Tutti Rouge bras. The shorts are quite comfortable, maybe on the small side in a size small. I'm usually between around a size 8 due to my 36 inch hips but anything from size 6-10(UK) have fitted in other brands as my waist is closer to a 6. They are flattering over the bum as there is no seam so no VPL but the elastic at the top is quite tight and digs in a little. Read more 113 more words
I LOVE this bra! I tried on bras forever trying to find one that would fit my wide rooted shallow breasts and this one fit the bill. I bought it in three color ways and all are SO beautiful. I love the lace detail, the bows, ribbons and especially the heart-shaped strap adjusters. This bra gives a great shape as well - it pulls the breasts to the center and lifts them up. I was concerned before I bought this bra that the straps might be too wide-set, but they are perfect. UPDATE: In the month since I purchased this bra, I have lost a cup size in my ...breasts due to hormonal fluctuations. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> I am super bummed I can no longer fill out the cup of this bra! I have listed it on Bratabase and hope someone can use and love it like I had hoped I would. Since only about a month has passed since I bought it, I have only worn it less than a dozen times so it is in basically new condition. Read more 75 more words
That's a cute bra. And it looks like it fits you nicely
