I am 5' 2" and have a short torso. I believe I have have narrow, close-set, full on bottom (FOB), center full breasts that are self supporting with immediate projection and short roots. I have had a very difficult time finding a bra that fits, is comfortable, and meets my everyday needs. That being said, this is one of the more acceptably fitting bras I've had thus far even though I measure and seem to fit best in UK 30FF or UK 28G. This Simone Perele bra seems to have deeper cups that can accommodate a fair amount of projection. I bought it from a boutique and was told ...the cups fit a full cup larger than labeled which explains why I can still sort of wear this bra despite the size not aligning with my measurements. I can't get it to stay in my IMF but there isn't a molded, padded, or otherwise lined bra that would accommodate the amount of immediate projection I need...I can live with adjusting this one. This bra has decent nipple coverage although isn't 100%. Closest thing I've been able to find that I can wear as a t-shirt bra. As short as I am I do wish the wires and wings were a bit shorter and that the straps were set in a bit closer. Things definitely get a little stabby under the armpits and in the tail of spence area after 4-6 hours but it's tolerable if you're not moving around too much. I do spill out of the middle a bit and the tops of the cups do cut in slightly but I can live with it and it isn't noticeable to anyone but me. Overall I'm happy with this bra...I just wish it wasn't discontinued and was made in another size that would more closely fit UK 30FF or 28G without such drastic changes in size scaling and construction. I have tried on other Simone Pereles and they become too tall, wide and lose their projection. Read more 226 more words
Much too big in the band, much too small in the cups! Which shouldn't have surprised me, but I get confused by Simone Perele's sizing. The "anthracite" color looks to me like. a deep blue-black, rather than dark gray (what I was expecting). Lovely bra, but I suspect it wouldn't be supportive enough even in my size so I doubt I'll reorder.
NB: Just recently found my proper size after years of buying too small! I was always a sucker for posh demi-bras, so my 1st Simone Perele was the gorgeous Amour unlined lace Demi-cup (13R330). Beautiful, yes - good fit for my shape, no: it created armpit fat chunks & dug into them. Being ski jump sloped, I couldn't fill any Simone full cups, but after bending the outside wires away from my body this 'big bust' demi works pretty well, is pretty & gives a nice shape. Yes, there is slight wrinkling on the top edge of one cup, but mostly it fits fine - not outstandingly comfortable but good enough. The band is substantial & a bit stiff, but feels like it will wear well.
The wires are very stiff & unforgiving, they felt tight. The outside edges where the cup turns into strap cut into me, & the cup wrinkled slightly along the horizontal seam. This piece felt stiff & tight, and wouldn't stay in place.
Love this bra- for some reason doesn't dig into my sternum like others- I have it in beige and purple/grey and both fit the same. I have been noticing that the band seems to stretch out faster than some other bras I have though, I think because the elastic is stretchier than in something like a Freya
Incredibly comfortable! Love the way the spacer cups feel when wearing and love that they are a soft grab rather than firm to the touch. Does not conceal headlights but that doesn’t bother me. Beautiful lace, details, stitching. Cups aren’t the prettiest but an excellent choice under a wide variety of clothing.
The Great Amazon Prime Wardrobe Try-On, Part 3 My shape: full on bottom, soft tissue, narrow shoulders/roots. Appearance: I find this bra to be sorta... blah. It's alright for an unlined black bra, but the lace design on top of the cups isn't really eye-catching. It's sort of a pinwheel looking floral effect, with embroidery that matches it that goes halfway up along the strap. The gore has a little bow with a charm? piece of shiny hammered metal? thing hanging from it; it feels cheap. Fit: All of that being said, the cups actually fit me pretty well, which is really surprising, since it's two cups smaller than my regular size. I'm not sure how this can fit me, unless this brand has cups that run at least two sizes larger. The band is also really stretchy, so keep that in mind if you are looking to purchase this particular bra.
Like the other Simone Perele bra I tried, this one is SUPER comfy. Love it. The cups are a teeny bit small on this one though, I could probably go a cup size up. But the foam cup material is super forgiving. Even though the fit is not *perfect*, it's really comfy and looks great under Tshirts. Definitely part of this rotation.
I had the band altered in the shop by 2"... but I'm upset that they sold me a bra that doesn't fit well- the cup is one size too small for me, and (I asked) they didn't have the next size up in stock but assured me this was the correct fit. It seemed OK in the shop but not after wearing a few times. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />
The wires were too narrow for me. They also dug into my armpits and the gore dug into my sternum. It was too closed on top and projected near the apex.
This is the perfect T-shirt bra! Comfortable, and the foam lined cups really smooth everything out under a T-shirt. I think this bra could work for many shapes as the cup material is stretchy and smoothing. It's definitely my best fitting and most comfy bra. One small issue is that I have a short chest, and the straps don't quite adjust short enough (adjustable part makes up about 1/3 of the total strap). I can easily sew it as I've done with other bras.
This was my first bra purchase in an appropriate size and although it is not exactly a perfect fit, fits well enough that I am pleased and continue to wear it regularly. The entire bra is made of soft stretch lace and for this reason is very forgiving being slightly too small in the cup, but does give the smallest amount of overspill at the top, but not enough that is visible under clothing. I am not sure if the brand runs large in the band, or if it is the material, but the 36 fits very comfortably, and my usual size is a 38.
OMG, I have never seen anything so ridiculous in my life! I sized down in the band, but this one fit on the longest hook, just the way it is supposed to. But the cups!!!!! It's crazy narrow and very projected, and with only one dart for shaping in the cup, combined with the 1/4" elastic along the top edge of the cup...my, oh my...can can anyone say "pencil tip"? This is worse than the 50's pointy look. Now mind you, I have a short, average root, and projected shape. That top elastic edge is great for short roots, but it quadded even on me. The cup was filled out but that one dart leaves a very unpleasant ending point. Too bad, too, because it is otherwise a beautiful bra.
I came across this bra deeply, deeply discountend ($20! Whaaaat!) in an absolutely stellar colorway (topaz, a nice deep turquoise, my crummy pictures don't do it justice). I said in my other review that it was a little ho-hum in terms of shape, but I think I was maybe underselling this bra a little. Sure, it's no megaboost pillowy hills of wonder, but it's definitely not part of your (grand)mother's wardrobe, either. The modesty is better than with an unlined bra (and honestly, I've given up caring much about headlights - we all have nips!) and it does shape without stiffness and has significant projection for a bra ...without seems in the cup. It's crazy comfortable, supportive, and completely invisible under a t-shirt. Very well-made, stellar quality. The lace is 'loose' on the cup, and shines when the light hits it; the bra in general is soft, lightweight and fleixble. This is a perfect everyday bra. One consideration: though not a full-cup, and there's no wrinkling, there could be less cup on top for me. I'm unsure if a D would have been slightly better: the wires are perfect, and my larger breast needed a little readjusting, but I would have tried on a D had there been one. (I am a 65E in SP unlined styles but a D in the Caressence.) Band is tight enough for me - I've come to appreciate the support these bras give without having to be as tight as my Cleo's, say. Even a slightly loose Cleo is a horror show, my Simone Pereles just seem to move with me, even though the measurements and the stretchiness might suggest otherwise. Read more 168 more words
A beautiful bra! Gorgeous lace on the double layer band. Comfortable amount of TTS stretch. (Wings are very tall.) Comfortable partial band in the front. Soft spacer fabric, tall cups. Good breathability for summer. (Does not hide headlights.) Gore is very narrow at the top; 2" at the bottom. Decent amount of center projection. Scallop patterned straps are fully adjustable. (Wide in front; kicked in, in the back.) The colorway 'Sand' (name on Amazon order) is a very pretty, neutral shade of taupe. (The name on the bag it arrived in says 'Muscade Skin'.)
Bottom line for me personally (short roots, short torso, center fullness, average width, average projection)... Fits well, except...wings are too tall and cut into my armpits; cups are too tall and buckle below the straps.
