I wanted to try this bra because sometimes the padding in the Panache wired sports bra is too much, and the straps are kind of wide and not long enough for the j-hook. I ordered the same size as the Panache, but this Sculptresse is crazy tight in the band. I needed to use an extender just to get it fastened. Once fastened, it's not a bad fit, but the straps are still wide and not long enough. The fabric also seems scratchy, mainly on the straps and along the tops of the cups; it's like a mesh fabric that seems like it will cause chafing if it rubs on skin too much. I expected a lot more from such a high price-point bra.
This bra gives me the VA VA VOOM chest you really want when you go out for the night. It has elastic lace as the top panel of this four panel cup, which can kind of customize the fit for you. The side support really pushes the breasts forward.
This bra runs small in the band - at this this specific one does. It was on sale, so could have been poorly measured/made. Cups are about right as I usually wear a 38GG or H (UK). One cup seems to be made poorly - the top lace section is a dash too long, material wise, so that it makes a bit of a quadraboob with my soft tissue. If I could sew, if I stitched about an 1/8" of fabric at the gore, it would be fine.
This is the first bra I have ever bought after calculating my size. It fits quite well in my FOT, narrow roots, well proyected boobs. What bothers me the most is the underwire that does too low for my brests and the gore floats a little bit. In general, I like it and i will keep using it, even if it's not the perfect fit.
I didn't really like the fit of this bra when I first got it, but it has become one of my favourite bras to wear over the last 2 years, even as I've gained weight. It seems to have become more comfortable after a couple of washes and the powermesh band has stretched out enough that I don't need an extender for comfort. What I love about this bra is that it has room at the gore to accommodate my centre-fullness and close-set breasts, and also that the wires are narrow and work with my short roots. The fabric is sheer and lightweight but strong enough to hold up ...my soft breast tissue. The lace upper cup is not stretchy, which is good to hold in my soft tissue, and the top of the cup is open enough to accommodate my upper fullness. The tangerine colour is fun. Overall, this is a good bra for me, now if only I could find a similar model to replace it once this one wears out! I've tried several other Sculptresse styles without much luck. The hype around this bra is no joke. I've heard so much about panache sports that I was very excited to see they had a sports bra in their sculptresse brand with larger band sizes. This is the comfiest bra I've ever owned. It was the first time I came away from working out with no upper back pain.
The quality is excellent when it comes to Sculptress bras, the reason I returned was solely because mine aren't full enough on top and had some wrinkling in the cups. Otherwise very comfortable, gave me a round shape and would have kept it.
The bra was great quality as with all Panache Sculptresse bras are. The sports bra is literally my favorite and most comfortable bra. I've seen Chi Chi recommended for those of us with wide rooted, pendulous and projected breasts occasionally on r/ABraThatFits. However, the bra made my breasts look very pointy. I definitely would not recommend for those with a similar shape to mine.
It was the first bra that really fit me comfortably after years and years of failed sizing. I've seen more comfortable bras in terms of fabric and material but not at this price point, it's an excellent quality/price ratio. The straps are comfortably padded, the lace and seams don't scratch or hurt. I bought it to use the J-hook and the straps get a bit tight when I use it, but nothing unbearable. Strap length is the only bad thing I can point out. I'm sure they're long enough to be worn separately, but I really need the racerback option for myself.
This is a wonderfully comfortable bra and pretty great for a moulded cup. For my FOT and center, narrow roots, though, the cup was too wide. This created a lot of empty space on the sides, plus with the plunge cut, I had some quading in the center. This would be great for those with more even fullness and a wide-root. It is super soft and a lovely baby-pink color that would work great for fair-skinned folx under t-shirts.
The smallest band size for this bra is 36. This would fit me better in a 34 band but it still mostly works. This bra does not give me a lot of lift (compare to the Chi Chi, for example) but I like the rounded and natural shape. The color options are not great for wearing under anything sheer or light colored, because the embroidered flowers clearly show through.
I find that this bra fits true to size generally, though the band is snug. The lace on the top of the cups accommodates asymmetry really nicely. The only issue I have with this bra is that the cup seam between the lace and the other fabric is visible through clothes. In terms of shape, this bra pushes breasts up and center (more centering than Logan and more lift than Nico).
I bought this bra and returned it because the seam where the lace meets the main cup fabric was incredibly defined and apparent through my sweater. I also found that this bra created an unflattering shape for me, not giving me much lift but pushing my breasts into a conical, pointy shape.
fine until I swooped and scooped, then I think it became about 1.5 sizes too small, such a shame, I love the look and it ~ feels ~ like it would feel amazing when the fit was correct. wire feels like it might be narrower then say, most elomi wires.
The band feels better than the 38H Chi-Chi, but it still feels tight. Cups fit better, though I still don't get a good tack, and on this one my breasts are forcing the gore to overlap itself.
It's also a bra based on Jasmine, so I'm seeing some of the same issues that I do with that bra. Not enough depth at the bottom of the cup, and I'm also getting some bizarre in-cup quadding that I haven't had before.
This was part of an Amazon Wardrobe order. I knew this was a long shot, but there's not much available in my size.
It's just too small. Band runs a bit tight and I could barely fasten it. Cups are too small and I had quadding, and the gore didn't tack. Wires felt like they were a good width and height, though.
