This was the first bra I bought at a shop (not online) in over two years. It's not perfect, but I was determined to leave with something, and options were limited.

The band runs small- I usually wear 30-32, but this 34 is about as tight as the rest of my bras. I'm sure this isn't true of all Samanta bras, because I tried another 34F and while the cups were the same, the band was quite a bit looser. The cups run about true to size compared to Freya/Fantasie/Cleo.

The cups have side support panels made of mesh, which look flimsy but actually do a pretty good job of ... keeping the shape centered. All in all, the shape is quite subdued- round and minimized, no great oomph or lift, but some days that's what I'm looking for in my bra.

The colour is very pretty, and so is the embroidery. The straps have ribbon sewn along the front half, but I think they're still fully adjustable. The embroidery will show slightly under a thin top, but not distractingly so.

My main problem is that the center gore tends to sort of flip sideways- so that the wires are sitting sideways on my body, one in front of the other. I'm not sure whether this is a design defect or a manufacturing defect on my particular bra (there's wasn't another one to try). I've never had this problem before, my breasts aren't particularly close-set, and the gore on the bra isn't particularly wide.

All in all, I'm happy with Nana.

    • I´ve got the same problem with the flipping wires, at the center gore, with another "Samanta" soft-cup style. I think it´s because they are very close together (I´ve heard Samanta is producing the most narrow center gores available), so they can´t adjust seperatly during movement through the day. The second reason would be the soft fabric they use. It is really compfortable and great for daily use, but it does not keep the gore in place. The "Samanta" padded styles are double lined and keep the wires better in place.
