This is a gorgeous bra with some pretty, ultra feminine detailing (thank you mandapandarawks for sending it to me!). There are blue ribbons that hang down beyond the bottom of the gore, the cups ares sheer with lots of embroidery - flowers in the lace, circles in the bottom of the cup, and blue stripes. It sounds busy, but somehow it all works in such a lovely way. The band is comfortable for a 30 (I'm stuck between 30's and 32's). It fits like a balconette and the cups are deep with plenty of projection at the wire. I find the wires softer than any I've tried. Unfortunately the cup is too small for me, otherwise I would hang onto this one!
My shape: full on bottom, soft tissue, narrow shoulders/roots. Special thanks to MamaPagan for sending me this bra (and many others!) to try on! Appearance: Really pretty ivory and blue embroidered cups. Ribbons at the gore instead of the charms and bows that are typical. Fit: Splayed, too wide in cups and straps, not enough support. (I had a longer review written but internet crapped out right as I hit submit! Super lame.)
Elise 30GG I am adding this bra for data/informational purposes only. This Bra is not owned by me at the time of addition to the database.
Elise is an underwire unpadded plunge bra. It is a pale yellow/cream color with light turquoise embroidery on the cups –It has lines and circles on the bottom and flowers on the top and at the center gore.
The band measures 23.5” to a max of 34” and had 3 hooks and 3 rows of eyes.
Cup Depth as measured by: 1 Hovering the cup between the knees, then placing the tape measure into the cups without any resistance. This measurement is: 11.5”
2 Placing ...the cup over the knee and stretching it similar to what a breast would, to the maximum resistance. This measurement is: 14.25”
I feel these two figures give you a general idea of the minimum and maximum depth that the cup can accommodate, just like the flat and stretched band measurements do with bands. Since Bratabase only has one cup field, I enter the larger of the two, as it’s this larger number that determines if a cup is going to fit me or not since I am on the max end of the cup scale, but do realize that some may need the lower number to determine fit for their needs, so I will always include both figures in the reviews for full disclosure.
This bra is beautiful and adorable. It doesn't seem to be industrial strength material, but it isn't cheap either, just average. I'd say the material is pretty soft for mesh, which is almost never as comfortable as padding. The underwires are actually close enough for my close boobs. The gore is somewhat high but it isn't uncomfortable. I am nursing right now so my size fluctuates a little; when I'm a little full this bra fits perfectly, aside from the band being too big (I really need a 28), and some empty space on the sides due to my narrow root. The cups are a smidge too high under the arms, I feel like my deoderant will get on them, but it isn't too uncomfortable. Even when my boobs are a llittle too small for it it is comfortable and good for everyday use. Virtually invisible under clothes.
