This didn't fit me, but I wish it did! I've never seen another babydoll that comes in this size range, and it's a proper bra with the babydoll bit added so it's supportive as well as being pretty. I'm usually a 28G and I'd say this one fits much more true to size than the Charlotte (the other Parfait bra I own, which I wear in a 30G). The band was definitely too loose on me, but I really need a 26 band so it's hard for me to judge if this is a true 30.
The cups are lightly padded and quite flexible. The band is nice and wide ...so it looks like it'll be comfortable, and there is a nice cut out section between the band and the body at the back. The lace edging at the top of the straps is very pretty. Petite ladies like myself may find the strap placement a bit too wide, and those with a short distance between their breasts and shoulders may find the straps too long, as they are only partly adjustable.
Some additional measurements: the chiffon fabric measures 52cm flat at the first point I can flatten it out fully below the band. The fabric part is 46cm long from the band to the edge of the lace. Read more 108 more words
Pretty true to size meaning it doesn't fit right now . I expected the fit to be too small because I already had the 36g in pink. I hoped sizing down would solve the overly wide wire problem without being too tight. I was kinda right. The cups overflow but the wires are much less wide. The band is just a little too tight to look good, although it feels fine. Update 5/19: the band and skirted portions just fit at my current weight. The cups look like a fit but I bet they'd quad within a short time.
It fit better than expected based on my experience with Curvy Kate. I assumed it would be okay for nightwear, the intended purpose, but it is good enough to wear as a slip. The cups are wide and shallow, but they are open on top, so it doesn't look bad. I find that the lace on the straps sticks up; I am likely to cut it off. The slip material feels fragile and it is just wide enough for my big booty. You'd think it would flare a little but it's pretty straight. If the slip portion does fall apart, it's still a pretty bra. I found this one on sale so I gambled on the size. In bras, I am a 32/34 H/HH, so this is kind of sister sizing. I like it enough that I ordered a black one in 34G, although I fully anticipate major quadraboob.
The band on this runs tight, I usually wear 28 bands and like them to be snug and this was perfect. The fabric of the skirt portion of the babydoll seemed more delicate than I was expecting. I couldn't fit it over my hips (which measure 34 inches) so I had to take it on/off over my head. I think this bra did not have enough projection for me and because of this the gore did not tack and there was this weird pucker on each cup by the gore, which I don't think that would have been there if the gore had tacked.
Oy. What can I say about this babydoll? Fit a while ago, but is too small in the cups now. Anyway, I ordered this from Hautelook a few years ago, and it's been sitting in a drawer nearly the entire time since purchase. It's such poor quality, and I was really disappointed with it. I had problems from the get-go. The minute I tried it on, some of the sheer mesh material got caught under the underwire. I tried to tug it out and it ripped! Cheap, cheap, cheap. I actually had my mom remove the scratchy material entirely, so now it's just a bra. It's so much ...better this way. The only thing left that I'm really not a fan of is the scratchy lacey material on the straps. Not only does it get caught under them, but it's not a nice material at all. I paid $35 for this and the pale pink bra version of the Honey, thank goodness. They aren't worth any more than that. The pink one was just as cheaply made as this babydoll, with the same cheap material on the front of the cups, but a nicely soft material on the inside. Again has the horrid/scratchy lace on the straps. I ditched that one a while ago, but never took the tags off the babydoll. Maybe someone here will like it better than I do. I think it could be a decent bra if you got rid of the stupid lace because it's soft on the inside. Positives: Cute bow detail with a crystal in the middle, 3 hooks (very unusual in this size), cute design. With a little love, someone could enjoy this bra I think. Clearly that someone is not me! I'll start by saying that I won this, so woohoo! It's beautiful, but not necessarily an item that I would purchase for myself normally, though I may totally reconsider that thought now. I have this in black and it's just beautiful. The fit was great. Measuring was hard to do for the stretched band part as it doesn't seem to have the stretch as it actually does, which probably makes little sense to anyone other than me. What I mean is that just holding it, I wasn't able to get as much stretch with it as I was when putting it on. ...Once on, it was actually more loose than a regular Parfait bra in a 30 band in my opinion. More like the Jeanie or Casey I'd say. The back dips down farther than I'd expect it to, but I think if I wasn't wearing sweats as I did when I tried it on, lol, it would be beautiful. I've shied away from the Honey bra and babydoll for one reason, I don't love the straps with the funky ruffle on them, especially for a bra, but for the babydoll, it's perfect! I may have to change my thoughts on the bra now too, lol! Overall, I'm calling this a keeper and one I'd recommend to others who love the Parfait line! Read more 126 more words
