    Fits

I've been pretty critical of Parfait bras in the past, and none of the options I've tried so far have fit me that well. However, I came across the Parfait Destiny Contour Bra on Amazon recently and decided to try it blindly. Surprisingly, it fits quite well, and I really like it!

Lately I have been really drawn to "pretty" bras, and while I've been collecting lots of frilly, feminine unlined bras from Fantasie, I've also been trying to collect more "luxe" bras mostly from Masquerade. Destiny fits perfectly into the aesthetic of the latter, as it utilizes satin, lace, and lace up trim quite effectively. ... I could easily mistake this for a Masquerade bra or something from a luxury line. The cups are a 3 piece balconette construction made from cut and sew foam. The main portion of the cup is lined in soft floral lace, and the sides have an exterior satin sling similar to the one on Charlotte, but it is a bit wider. The cradle is also made from satin and features a center gore with a lace up ribbon detail like the one on the Lepel Fiore's wing panel. Wings are made from plain powermesh and taper into a leotard back, and the straps are made from medium width picot-edged elastic.

While I initially disliked Charlotte for the stiffness of its materials (particularly in the current solid black version), the materials on Destiny are a little bit softer, and feel better quality to me. Charlotte has very firm foam cups, but Destiny's cups seem a little bit softer. I'm not sure how much of it is the difference in material quality and how much of it is the difference in cut, though the cup construction looks very similar from the interior. Charlotte gives me a slightly pointy shape, and the upper cup is a bit too closed off for me, so it cuts into my tall roots while leaving some empty room immediately below, though it isn't too big of an issue in 28E. Destiny gives me a really nice rounded shape with none of the same issues as Charlotte. The only downside is that in order to fit my larger side well, cups tend to gap on my smaller side, and this is much more noticeable on certain unlined bras and on certain structured foam bras (like on my Comexim 60Hs). However, this is easily fixed with a foam pad insert for asymmetry.

The band on this bra is exactly what I expect from Parfait, as they tend to make firm bands that are TTS. I found the band to be comfortable and of the same quality as Charlotte's. The wires on this bra are also not the same gentle curved shape as in most of my bras that fit, but they somehow work in this bra. Strangely, the Parfait unlined bras I tried (Sandrine, Irene) were absolutely horrible fits for me in the wires.

I would recommend this bra for even shapes that want a more rounded appearance than what Charlotte gives, or if Charlotte is a bit too closed off or projected for you. A lovely find!

Update: I have purchased two colorways, Cassis and Nightshadow Blue. The fit is consistent between both bras, but the Nightshadow Blue has a slightly wider band and slightly wider straps.

    Didn't fit

I tried this one because the Parfait Marion fits me well. I honestly just don't like this one. It's pretty, but not my style and I don't like the mix of fabrics. I feel like that mixture will show under shirts.

The fit isn't terrible, but it just seems a little off all around. The band is just a little too tight - it may give some with time, but I don't like it enough to give it time. The gore almost tacks. I think the gore may be a tad bit too wide for me, but it may also be a consequence of the cup depth. The cups ... fit are filled fairly well because the wires follow my shape pretty well, but I feel like I could use a little bit more projection at the wire. Maybe a bit more depth overall. The cups do come a bit high for me - the top cuts into my armpit. The weirdest thing with this bra is that I get a bit of quadboob on my larger breast and a bit of gaping on my smaller breast. The one breast is a little smaller than the other, but it usually doesn't cause problems. Finally, the straps are a little too far apart, so I feel like they are going to slide off my shoulders.

Despite all this, I would say some people would keep the bra. The fit isn't necessarily bad. It just feels like everything *almost* fits. The whole bra is pretty stiff and wants to hold it's shape, so it doesn't want to mold to me.

    Didn't fit

Not much information out there about this bra, and I love its' details, so I just had to try it.

    What I love:
The lacing up the middle of the gore: sheer mesh under satin lacing. Very reminiscent of a Victorian corset.
The color: "Nightshadow Blue" is a very pretty dark denim blue in the spectrum of muted blues (rather than red or yellow tones). Very vintage looking.
The cups: lined but no push-up padding; good projection; nice profile (neither "in your face" boobs, or minimized out to the sides); proportionate spacing between the apexes, relative to the width of the wires; darted flat lace overlaying ... the 3-part inner cups, with low-sheen satin on the outer cups giving defined side support. The lace barely shows under a thin tee; seams don't show because they are under the lace.
Wide band: great side support, feels very secure; tapers to two hooks in the back. Controlled back fat well. It gives the appearance of being too tall under the arms, but it was not uncomfortable at all.

    What I don't love:
First impression: this is a lot of bra! Yes, it's definitely a Full Cup design and I'm used to wearing more Demi's; (When taking it out of the package I thought for sure it would be too big, but the fit is actually very close).
Cup height: Very tall! Almost 1.5" above my shortish roots; (not proportionate with my short torso at all).
Wide gore: granted, space is needed for the beautiful lacing detail, but it's both much too wide & tall to fit within my center fullness. It was not uncomfortable.
Very wide-set straps: practically under my arms.

    Bottom Line:
The combination of the wide-set straps and the tall cups caused a lot of gaping with movement, despite that it fit well with normal posture. That is, it didn't gape when standing straight but it did when I started moving around.
