I know the Tango II gets a lot of hate, but I actually loved this bra when I was correctly fitted! When I was more FOB, I got a nice, uplifted shape. It wasn't the roundest shape in the world, but it wasn't overly pointy either, and I remember being so excited that my boobs actually looked perky for once. Now that I have more even fullness, I do get a little bit of flattening on the top and increased pointiness, but it's not a bra I'd be ashamed to be caught dead in. (And the degree of flattening on top is much less than ...what I get from, say, some of the Curvy Kate unlined cuts). A round shape is nice, but I've never been someone who really needs it to feel comfortable - I was perfectly okay with the Tango giving my boobs lift without shaping them too much. For some reason it gave me a completely different shape to the Tango II plunge I tried in the same size - I regretted buying the plunge because it didn't lift my boobs at all like the balconette did, it just pointed them straight at the ground.
The wire width is again something that isn't great for me now, but was really great at the start of my fitting journey when I had a lot of side tissue. I'd have to say the Tango II balconette cut is one of the most solid constructions I've tried - I actually used to go jogging in it before I bought a sports bra because I felt that little movement in it. I can't stress how much this was a life-changing experience for me - I used to literally have to hold my boobs with one arm while I was running to the bus in my illfitting 36E. I have to say that Panache makes a quality bra - from memory I used to wear this Tango pretty much constantly for about six months, and I haven't noticed appreciable stretching of the band since then. The measurements I have up are recent (June 2015) and the band still measures at a solid 32. It seems to be a pretty standard 32H, which is I think why every proper (read: not matrix) fitting room I've tried has used the Tango II for gauging a size.
I think the Tango II balconette's definitely worth a go for FOB people with some side tissue, especially if you need something that will really minimise jiggle. I did find that the leaf shapes showed up through thinner t-shirts, but this never really bothered me. Read more 344 more words
I love this bra! It is really comfy and great for everyday! The band does stretch out a bit, which was good for me because it was a tad small when I first got it, but just something to keep in mind! I have also found the gore to really dig into my sternum, but I may just be sensitive to that stuff. Also, the fabric around the wire channel doesn't like to sit flat, it kind of flips up? If that makes sense. It isn't a huge problem, it just kind of annoys me. Overall, though, really one of my favorites, especially just with a T-shirt or something!
This is a great bra for everyday use. The kind of bra I will wear, when I could use a sports bra, but won't actually be doing sports https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_mrgreen.gif" alt=":D" /> Cleaning the house, playing with the kids, dancing my ass off at night clubs... If I could do handstands, this bra would keep my boobs in place even then. I don't need to adjust my boobs at all. Ever.
Appearance: Ok shape, but not great. A bit too wide to my liking. On the plus side, not at all pointy but nice and round. The underwires come very high both in the front and ...on the sides. The high front and "100 % coverage" shape of the cups means that I can't wear low cut tops with this bra. The leaf pattern will show through thin fabrics and actually, even a tight sweater.
Comfort: I've only worn the bra twice now. It does ever so slightly dig under my arms, but not too bad - red marks that disappear quickly. I'm sure it will be more comfortable after a while. The band, at it loosest setting, feels tight but not too tight. The first time I wore the bra I took an extender with me just in case, but I didn't use it after all. The straps only adjust half the way, but right now they're almost at their loosest setting, so that is not a problem for me. For some reason I haven't figured out yet, I do find the sides of my boobs clammy when I take the bra off. Maybe because the material of the cups is a polyester-nylon blend, that is not too good in wicking moisture. Read more 176 more words
