My shape: full on bottom, soft tissue, narrow shoulders/roots. Special thanks to MamaPagan for sending me this bra (and many others!) to try on! Appearance and Fit: I've worn the newer model Panache Sports bras for years, so this older one (I'm assuming?) was really odd for me. The neckline is a lot taller and more square, and the cups seem a little shallower. I don't do any hardcore working out, so I'm not sure how great this particular bra would be for heavy exercise. It does smoosh the breasts down at least an inch. (according to my bust measurements, anyways.) I was concerned that I wouldn't even be able to get this bra on at first; the space around the straps and armpits is a lot smaller. The straps are not fully adjustable. Once I got it on, however, it wasn't uncomfortable.
I am adding this bra for data/informational purposes only. This Bra is not owned by me at the time of addition to the database.
The band measures 25” to a max of 34” with 3 hooks and 3 rows of eye loops. It used to have a loop of fabric to slide over the hooks, but I took it off years ago, and misplaced it so the photos do not reflect this feature.
Cup Depth as measured by: 1 Hovering the cup between the knees, then placing the tape measure into the cups without any resistance. This measurement is: 10”
2 Placing the cup over the knee ...and stretching it similar to what a breast would, to the maximum resistance. This measurement is: 13”
I feel these two figures give you a general idea of the minimum and maximum depth that the cup can accommodate, just like the flat and stretched band measurements do with bands. Since Bratabase only has one cup field, I enter the larger of the two, as it’s this larger number that determines if a cup is going to fit me or not since I am on the max end of the cup scale, but do realize that some may need the lower number to determine fit for their needs, so I will always include both figures in the reviews for full disclosure.
While I am not a fan of Panache bras, when this one fit, it was wonderful! Panache bras are horrible, but their Sports bras appear far more comfortable, and supportive.
This is the greatest sports bra I have ever owned and it's not even the right size anymore. I just saw that they're releasing it (or already make it) in bright colors and I cannot wait to drop more money on this glorious piece of equipment. I never felt comfortable when working out before I got this. My boobs got in the way, they bounced, I felt like everyone was staring and it was really hard to concentrate on my workout, especially when running. Now, my boobs stay put!! It's incredible!!! This sports bra. I have been asked about it by complete strangers who also have trouble finding ...proper sports bras. Basically, I recommend completely. It's magnificent. You might cry from happiness.
One thing is that when I first got it, the band was REALLY tight. even now it's rather tight (as you can see from my measurements). There's a hook in the back to make it a racerback which is fantastic, but you probably won't be able to fasten that part right away. After a few wears though, it'll loosen up a bit and then you can start hooking it there. It gives a nice boost to cup security. Read more 91 more words
Best bra ever. Full stop. I wear this as an everyday bra under anything that comes up high enough to cover it. The shape is perfection, and the lining keeps nipples contained. I've considered sewing lace onto it so it can work under more necklines. The underwires are padded a little, so it's friendly to my sensitive rib-cage, and the material is soft too. This is the Platonic form of how a bra should FEEL! I only wish it weren't so sporty-looking and that the straps weren't so beefy. If only they just took the basic design, lowered the neck, and slapped some satin on it... get on that, Panache!
I did have to go up a band size to my sister-size 34F. The band is TIGHT and unforgiving. This bra does not quit! I've worn it almost daily for over a year, and it shows no signs of wear beyond a little staining.
Don't hesitate. This sucker is loaded for bear. Worth every penny of the $70 I paid for it.
