Finally Ive added this tankini but only because im packing for my holidays that start tomorrow and have some spare time https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_mrgreen.gif" alt=":D" /> I got this tankini last year as I was going to visit Dubai where the sun is extremely strong and I get burnt very easily. First of all, the look of this tankini is so lovely!! it covers my fatty stomach very well and the lenght is just right for my petite size. From the beggining I have to use tightest set of hooks as it is quite loose - but I had also 30E that was too tight ...and the gore was bothering me too much. The wires feels like theyre made of plastic coz Ive tried to bend them but it seems impossible as the gore hurts my chest. However to solve the problem of hard gore - ive used cotton pad and the pain was gone. Wires and narrow, Id say very narrow as theyre only 12.5cm and theyre perfect on me! The cups feels great, theyre bit closed on top but at least they hold boobs very well!! Ive used this tankini for scuba diving and was perfect with carrying on my back a bottles with oxygen and while swimming under water - I wouldnt trust any other bra as this tankini with diving. The straps are not very wide and are fully adjustable.
I love this tankini! It's a very flattering fit, and good for FoB with lots of projection. It fits snug, not just through the cups but through the abdominal area. The suit is well made with nice detailing. The wires are super stiff, which made it something of a wrestling match getting it on and off.
Very quick review - I can't measure the band length because the band is attached inside the tankini. The band seems to be TTS or a little tight for a 34 band, and thus is too large for me (32GG is my best UK size).
The cups are narrow, fairly projected, and quite low cut. I am pretty happy with the fit of the bust portion, though the top of the gore pushes out above where the underwires end.
The stomach portion is too tight for me to be comfortable wearing it. I am a US 12 dress size (UK 16).
This is not a very blousy tankini. It fits tight like a bathing suit would although there is ruching on the left side. The bra is in the bathing suit and hooks with 3 hooks instead of a bathing suit type S hook. The straps are thin and stretchy but don't have to support much as the underwire of the bra does that very well. On me, I fill the cup completely and the gore lays flat. It is a bit weird that the suit extends beyond the top of the gore, so it's a nice gentle sweetheart scoop shape but because the gore ends below the ...neckline the suit fabric has to stretch from the gore to the top edge of the suit and when I look down into the suit, I can see the fabric reaching upwards from the gore. It's intended this way, and it looks fine on the outside. I wonder if it will rip at some point.
The suit is very comfortable and I mused with wearing it as a tank top but it's a little too revealing on my aged body for general wear, unless of course, I was going to Walmart. (jk really!) I think though, if a younger woman wanted to, she could easily wear it as a tank top. I do wish it was blousier, but since I have not bought anything Panache yet, I was very pleased it fit so very well.
Now to buckle the bra, I had to pull up the tank part, past the bra in order to reach the straps which felt quit firm, but once I figured out that I had to do that, it was not difficult. It was at this point I could actually see how well it fit me and I had that moment in the mirror where I though what an engineering marvel it was.
I had to chuckle when the tag on care for it said to 'dry away from direct sunlight' after washing and I had to wonder if that had something to do with the fog in England as most bathing suits in my area, are worn in the water and dried in the sun on the beach... But, if it fades, it fades. All suits do fade and this, being bought on sale, is less than I have paid in the past.
The wires were ridiculously wide, reaching around to my back. The straps were placed accordingly. When I put my shoulders as far back as possible, it was still cutting in, in my armpit. The ruched detail was perfect for a maternity swimsuit!
I bought this tankini last fall and nether had a chance to wear it. I went for a bigger size to get more coverage and looser fit. I used to wear 34HH. The inside bra feels like 36HH. There is nice ruching going below left breast. It's very strategically placed to camouflage a potty stomach. The quality of fabric and stitching if very good. The straps are fully adjustable. The inner bra can be adjusted to a smaller size. The bottom is size large, 14UK. All brand new with tags and hygienic sticker.
