    Didn't fit

Despite the label explaining that this bra is meant for high-impact exercise, it failed the high impact bounce test for me.
This would be a good bra for low intensity workout. And Yoga.

For a 32 the band is quite tight. As a matter of fact, it only stretches out to 77cm and that was pushing it to the limit. It wouldn't budge past that. So it feels more like a 30 to me.

The molded cups sort of fit. The gore doesn't tack (my guess is because it is too shallow for me), but curiously, the gores never tack for me in sports bras. Not Freya Sonic, not Panache, and ... not this one either. I wonder why that is.
The wires are also extremely flimsy, and very very wide (around 17.5cm wide in this size).

With all that being said, it might look like everything I'm writing is negative, but I assure you I am actually pretty satisfied with how this bra fits. Out of all encapsulation sports bras I tried, this one definitely fits the best.
And the bra is very comfy-- the only issue I have is the black trim on the gore sometimes bends for me.

I love the straps on this. They're not adjusted the normal slider way but with a hook. So you can detach the hook and make it into a crossover as well. So much nicer than it being a J-hook (I hate the J-hook).

The gore might not tack because it is too wide. It really looks like an exact duplicate of Panache Sport.

    • 2

Yes it does! I will say that I tried the Panache in a completely wrong size (32F) so probably the majority of fit issues (including the floating gore) could have been caused by too small cup. The wires were alright in that one, not too wide. This one the wires are insanely wide, but it is a cup larger than the Panache.

I have this exact bra in a different size. I agree with everything in your review, except that I'm pretty sure mine tacks (haven't worn it in a while). It definiately is not a bounce-friendly sports bra.... I wear mine for doing weights or yoga. And yes.. the wires sure are wide!

It looks like a good fit, and if it serves the purpose with out pain, it's a win.
      :-D
I think your review (and all of them you write in general) are very thorough and informative, which is so nice. Plus they always have photos & measurements so I'm always happy to see your reviews posted since they have everything I *love* to see: numerical data, informational data, and visual data!!! Did I mention how much I love data? ;-)

Wilderness1 Tell me your secret if it tacks. It literally feels like I'll never get a sports bra to tack lol.

MamaPagan I used to review books for a job (a lot) and I was pretty critical in my reviews (tbh looking back at it, I was pretty harsh, which I regret) so I would usually write pages long thorough reviews. It's something I find I do for bras as well (to a lesser extent--really I do it for whatever I review) and I often wonder if I should maybe cut it down a little bit cause it's 'just a bra'. I really fight the urge to just keep rambling on and on about a bra haha.

Ramble on please! Each person on here is searching for a different aspect of fit or detail, so I feel that the more information the better it is. Too much is never enough, haha.
It's easy to skim over the details that aren't pertinent to the individual, but for someone desiring an omited detail, they can't just read between the lines to get that info, and often won't ask, especially if time has past. So extra details given are wonderful for all, including future members too! :-)

brasaremean I can get the Panache gore to tack if I turn it sideways! Does that count? :)

    • 1

      At this point it does!

My theory is that for a tight nice fit a sports bra asks for, its necessary to have a tight fitting band but the band stretches out the wires and warps them inwards at the botton and that makes them move away from the body on top=floating.

      Physics or something.

brasaremean Are you opposed to wireless sports bras? I really liked the unwired Panache Sport. It is more closed on top so it might cut into your roots if too small though.

    • I wouldn't mind unwired tho I'd prefer wired. Everything cuts in my tall roots so eh.
I was also thinking of trying Chantelle High Impact Convertible Sports Bra (2941) but it looks like just another variation of Panache one...

I can confirm the Chantelle sports bra is pretty much a clone of the Panache one. Same type of material and everything. I have a 34G (US size, so 34:7) that measures pretty close to the Bratabase measurements of the Panache's 32G.

I can never get the gores to tack either on sports bras because of how wide they are.

      That sucks Sheena
      The search continues

With some loss of volume the gore now tacks, so I suppose it was a tiny bit small in the cup. This bra overall fits really well now, though I will say it still isn't very high impact sports bra.

    • I can also confirm that the Chantelle is a close dupe of the Panache but it’s a teensy bit different, I think.

    Didn't fit

I really wanted to like this bra because the fabric is super soft and it seems well constructed. However, it doesn't work for me because the gore doesn't tack and the wires sit too low for my breasts (not enough projection at the wire for me?). Additionally, the wires wrap around to well under my armpits.
