  1. Boudoir Beach Halter Bikini Top

    Didn't fit

This bikini top runs small in both band and cup. I'd size up in the band atleast once, and maybe twice depending on how tight you like things to be. Mine runs about 2 sizes small in the band, and about 1 in the cups. The pattern is quite minimizing, and the wires are narrow. The bottoms run a bit small as well. I love the way this looks from the front (even with the quadding) but hate the way it looks from the side. Also, WHY DON'T FULL BUST COMPANIES LINE BIKINIS????

Anyways, full review on the blog https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

Have you tried Curvy Kate? They have comparably narrow wires and lined cups in many of their styles. They have lots of halter styles too. And 28 bands. There's lots of cheap ones on eBay right now.

    • I tried the Curvy Kate Shockwave tankini (I had to wear modest swimwear at my previous job) but overall wasn't impressed. It came out super pointy on me, and it was also unlined. But that's an older style so they've probably updated their fit since then! Do you know which styles are lined? It's annoyingly hard to figure out on listings.

I ordered this in 30D even though I'm more of a 30DD and it was a mistake!! Definitely should have gone for 30DD or 30E... but the 30D just smooshes and gives lots of boobage so I'm living with it. The band does run quite tight, I'm regularly a 30 and find it bearable though, but it's definitely on the tight tight side. Haven't gotten it wet yet..will have to see what it does!

PetiteCollegiate I know all the swim models based on the Temptress Plunge are padded. They aren't halter but there's no reason you couldn't cut the straps off the back and tie them around your neck. I think this conversion would probably work well with the shape of the bra. I found the shape to be very round and uplifting with plenty of cakes on a plate. Too much so for my 40HHs but I need to feel more covered and secure because I swim laps.

  2. Paris Balconette Bra

When I first got the 30E Miss Mandalay Paris in Scarlet with leopard print accents, at the beginning of my bra journey, the wires seemed too narrow, coverage under the arms inadequate, and the cups too deep. Now, more than three years later, the wire width is good and the cup depth fine, but the coverage under the arms is still inadequate. The worst part of this bra's fit for me is the gore, which is about 2.5" high. The biggest fit issue I have, now that my roots are narrower and my projection greater after breast migration, is painfully high center gores. The best gore height for ... me is 1.5" but 1.75" works too, in my 65F Ewa Michalak 3Ds.

The cups on this Scarlet Miss Mandalay Paris are deep. Consider my best fit in Cleo Marcie and Freya half cup bras is 30FF. The dozen or so Ewa Michalak 3D bras I have are 65F. If the side coverage were higher in Cleo Marcie, I could wear it in 30F. I speak of the original red color, the Bravissimo exclusive purple color, and the bright turquoise color of seasons past.

I realize there are people who need narrow, deep cups and low coverage under the arms. It still saddens me, though, to find Miss Mandalay Paris will apparently never be a good fit on me. It is pathetic I still have this new with tags bra and the new with tags matching panties. This is the bra enthusiast's version of unrequited love. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />
