This bra is definitely very shallow. It could work wonders for someone who needs wide and shallow. I think it could have worked for me if it wasn't so tall. My boobs actually did fill out the bottom of the cup, but then there is all this extra fabric on top which turns it into a clown bra for me.
I definitely recommend it as a bra for shallow gals to try.
I also think I will try in some smaller sizes and see if the wire width is big enough in any smaller sizes.
Also it has a very short underwire for it's length.
I'm a bit sad about having to give up this bra. It's my first and only white one, and it's quite comfortable, what with the satin and all. However, I've got to be honest with myself. Plunges never really work well for me, probably due to my full on bottom breasts and soft breast tissue.
For this bra in particular, I also found that the cup placement seems better suited for someone with further apart breasts mine. The cups seem to be shallow and rather wide, but the area they cover is towards my armpits, not the middle, where my breast tissue is escaping the cup.
The band definitely runs at least a size big. I'm usually on the lower end of a 32 of or high end of a 30, and I'm fastening this band on the tightest hooks already. The cup may also run small, but I don't feel like I can gauge that accurately for a style like this one.
I wrote a review for 32E and then took my own advice and get it in the sister size with smaller band. Have nothing to add. Just one thing: for some reason it paints me dark blue near the center gore (looks like really bad bruises!). First time it I was terrified (how could I got this! It hadn't felt bad at all during the day!) but then I understand what it was. Booh!
WOW. I measured the bra first and I was feeling doubtful about the wide wires, shallow cup, and low wires, but the cleavage! I haven't seen that since I was wearing too small cups!
the band is quite snug but not uncomfortable. I was worried about the strap placement but it's not uncomfortable. the low center gore tacks.
i have period bloat right now so I'm not sure if my puffiness is too-small cups or what it is. the bra gleams like peau de soie. stitching is very good, not a single loose thread. the strap ring is maybe a bit too small for the straps. it's a lovely bra, but I don't know if I need a bigger cup or not.
I'm not sure yet how I feel about this bra. It fits me better than most plunges, but I feel I would have gotten a better fit with a 30H. This is my first experience with Masquerade, but it seems looser in the band and smaller in the cup than most of the Panache bras I have tried. It is hard to know if my fit issues are more related to poor size or the shape of the bra; my breasts always try to meet in the middle regardless of what bra I wear, and plunges just make it easier for them, so I tend ...to avoid them.
I really wish I wasn't conflicted about the fit, because the aesthetic is fantastic! It looks expensive and sophisticated, and the white gives it a special occasion, bridal kind of feel. I usually feel so bored in white bras, but I really like this one. The cups are soft satin, and lined with cotton; the straps are the same satin as the cups and they are narrow without being uncomfortable. I wish the band was wider with three hooks; that always gives me a more secure fit, but overall, this is a really nice bra. I'll be on the lookout for more Masquerade bras. Read more 113 more words
This bra is lovely, and I was excited for a plunge bra! However, the band is HUGE. I can visibly pull it away from my body many inches! I knew that a 30 band was pushing it, as I fit better in 28 bands, but this band is beyond a 30 band! The cups are also far too small, and I'd say I would need at least one cup size bigger if not two.
My biggest criticism of this plunge is that the gore is basically non-existent. (I will try to remember to upload a picture of the gore tomorrow!) The two underwires seem like normal bra underwires until ...they meet towards the gore, where they seem to be 'clipped' and just kind of dangle there together in the middle with nothing really stabilizing them. Other plunge bras I know own have stabler gores which are able to tack, but I am not sure this gore would ever tack, even if the cups fit, just due to the construction.
It is a total disappointment! It's not particularly pretty or comfortable otherwise, either! Read more 72 more words
I love the cut of this bra and it is just so pretty and sooo comfortable! Unfortunately this is one of the bras I wasted money on when I didn't know what my correct size was and ordered it online. I think it would fit great if I had the right size, but my only gripe about the style is how thin and stretchy the back band is. I wish they had made it more supportive. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> I think it would work well for someone who needs wider/shallower cups.
