Finally, a low-cut plunge bra that works for my shallow, wide-rooted breasts! I love how well this bra fits. With my shape, I typically have trouble with plunges giving me quadboob and/or not being able to fill out the bottom.
I can fill out the 28E Harem just fine without it cutting into the top of my breasts. The materials are very nice, and I am a fan of the soft, padded straps. It's a good-looking bra.
The sad part is that it's not a t-shirt bra. The bottom part of the cup is thinly, but adequately padded, while the top is just lace. It looks fine if that's all you're wearing, but when you wear it under clothing, the seam between the padding and the lace is very noticeable.
The gore of this bra is very painful on me. I tried wearing the band higher, lower, tighter, looser. Nothing. Finally I tried bending the wires but could not get them to behave. I don't see this mentioned on any other reviews so it's possible that this is unique to the way the bra fits me.
The bra very nearly fits my larger side (just a little bit unfilled) and gaps noticeably in the apex on my smaller side. The band feels good, true to size. I agree that the seam between the upper and lower portions is visible under shirts, but it doesn't bother me at all.
Other than that, I think this bra is beautiful, soft with shiny fabric, and has real potential to be sexy and comfortable, for someone who it doesn't wish to murder. I am happy I got to try this bra and I hope to find a Masquerade that works for me some day!
This bra was a bit of an odd fit for me. I’m not sure I can pinpoint all the fit issues, but the most obvious is the fact that I don’t fill the lace at the top. I have an even shape, and this bra needs more upper fullness than I possess. The Harem also seems to fight against my inner fullness and would probably work better for those with more fullness on the outside. The wire width is the same as other Masquerade bras of the same size, projection is adequate although again mostly on the top.
The band of the bra is not as tight as other ...Masquerade 28 bands I’ve tried. Since most Masquerade bands are very tight, that would probably make this one an average 28. I didn’t find it too loose on my 25 inch ribcage, but then again I only wore it for a couple of minutes.
As others have mentioned, this does not work as a t-shirt bra because the seam joining the lace part on top to the padded part on the bottom is visible under thin clothing. Read more 76 more words
Brand new, unworn. The fit of this bra just seems different then any other Masquerade that I have tried. It is a plain 3 part plunge style bra, but the construction of the cups seems to cause the breasts to point outward. It doesn't push up, but does give a nice cleavage line. Even with the outward pointed breasts it may provide a great look for some under clothes.
The band does not feel nearly as tight as the Rhea even though the have a similar stretch length. Not really sure what is going on with that. It also has the 2 hook fastening not a normal 3 for this size. I like that personally, but many won't.
I have one major fit issue with this bra. At the top of the cup under the arm there is a crazy gap. It is hard to get a photo of. I'm not sure if it is due to the width of the cup compare to my breasts or possibly the projection of my breasts compare to the cup.
Fits pretty well but there is strap gap as with most of my bras (I'm short-rooted) and because of where the lace falls with this one it can sometimes wrinkle oddly. The shape is slightly more pointy than most of my bras and the lace and the seaming shows under thin fabrics so I can't wear this with everything. The first half of the straps are padded satin and not elastic and sometimes cut into my armpits a little bit around my tail of spence.
This bra is wide and a bit shallow at the bottom, but it has tons of room for center and top fullness. I would say it runs a bit big in the cup, and the band is true to size. It's a nice plunge, and the cups aren't too tall - just wide!
I wish it worked for me - a half padded cup seems really flattering for my shape. However, so far I can't stand how they look with clothing - the seams are so obvious!
I love the look of this bra, the straps feel so fancy honestly. The lace on top I don't fill out all the way and the cups are a bit short. I don't think my nipples are supposed to sit up with all the lace. The gore is a bit wide for me, but the height is great. The bra doesn't dig in over time and doesn't feel restrictive. Overall it's a good bra, just not the best bra for me.
I thought this was going to work for me, but not quite.
The cups just felt a bit uncomfortable. Especially when I sat down they cups came right up under my arm pits and was uncomfortable. There was a little bit of quad boob, but only very slightly and also a tiny bit of gaping at the top (where the cup meets the straps). This is a common problem for me. It was only a little bit, and especially as the cups are contoured you couldn't really tell that I didn't fill out all of the cups....but as it is not comfortable I won't be keeping it.
The design is nice and sophisticated and subtlety sexy. I do really like the matching thong. It was comfy and stylish.
Fits a bit tight in the band for a 30. The straps also don't adjust long enough. I thought the cups were too small since at times my cup seems to floweth over (not quad-boobing, but large portions of boob just hanging out, unsupported), but the gore tacks and at other times there is a smooth line to the cup...so I think that is just the design. Perhaps it would work for someone more wide-rooted (I have very narrow separation. The design is odd. Comfy (other than being too tight). The padded satin comes to just below the nipples, and an unsupported mesh comes up the rest of the way. Even with the mesh, it is a very low-cut bra. Would be a bad T-shirt bra, as going from a padded bottom to unsupported mesh top will leave a visible line under a t-shirt.
