This is one of the new bra sized styles that Lululemon is offering in A-E cups. While it is not the most inclusive size range, it is better than some. It’s designed as a high impact sports bra in the ultralu fabric with mesh panels on the sides of the band and straps that are adjustable from the front through a rather rugged hook style. It’s a wireless style that is an encapsulation style via molded foam cups inside, though the exterior is not visibly encapsulated. This one has a fairly straight forward back design. There’s no j hook that I’m aware of which is probably due ... to the super thick and rugged strap design.

My boobs are soft and pendulous and lean towards functionally short and fob even though the roots are taller and tissue is more even...it is just soft and deflated. I currently take a 30FF UK or 30H US but sometimes need to size down due to the shape issues.

My sports bra needs are that I need some level of support (more than a flimsy aerie bralette but less than a Panache Wired Sports Bra) and ultimately, it has to be comfortable. I’m on my back a lot during my Pilates lessons and I don’t need a ton of support as it is pretty low impact. Containment, yes, and some compression or support simply due to my size, but I don’t need anything hardcore (although I do have, and have been using my Panache bra). Hook and eye style is usually better with fit and support, as well as easier to put on and take off, but I definitely notice the hooks more than in a pullover style.

The band on this one is definitely a snug 32, which is on par for many sports bras, and feels more like a 30. The cups are comfortable with a slightly higher neckline that’s a slight sweetheart shape as compared with the All Powered Up bra which is a bit of a scoop neck. Like the other bra sized sports bras, the hook and eye closure is a bit tricky to do up. I think it’s maybe the stiffness of the hook tape material that is not as flexible to bend away from the hooks. I was able to get it done up though, so it is a minor issue in the overall impression of the bra. Like the All Powered Up bra, there is a little material that extends below the cups and adds a little bit more support and coverage so it is almost like a crop top. The straps on this bra are adjustable but use a rugged strip of material that has slats for a long hook (like you would find in a convertible style) instead of using sliders. I found adjusting them was a little bit tricky. I’m sure that once you have the right length set, you’ll be fine, though it’s designed like this to be able to tighten up further for activities that involve bouncing like running and jumping where you need it to be tighter.

Overall it is a nice sports bra and only slightly overkill for my Pilates sessions. This one is more basic all over by comparison with the All Powered Up bra. I’m not sure what style I prefer. I definitely love the pink pastel and violet verbena colours of the All Powered Up bra, as well as the sort of scoop neck crop top look from the front, but I don’t have a need for the style of backing that it has. This one has a few nice colours too, but with spring and summer approaching, and the fact that I already have a few dark sports bras, I definitely like the other ones. The simplicity of this one though, is possibly something that would be more comfortable with all my supine (back) positions. I think it’s maybe something that I might have room for both of the styles but I’m gravitating towards the pink at the moment (though I have never really been a pink person so it is unusual that I have been drawn to all the pinks that thru have right now).

These bra sized sports bras are not cheap so I definitely do have a little bit more thinking to do, especially as I am still considering the Ebb to Train bra as well.

I am /loving/ the back of this bra for whatever reason. Glad it works for you.

Yeah, it’s nice and open. Sometimes I find that the j hooks are in the wrong spot and uncomfortable. I mean, it’s not pretty by any means, but it’s functional and comfortable.

I just got this in a 34E. The other styles U tried in 34E were not good fits, but this was perfect! I got the electric blue and love it. In a direct comparison jumping up and down it hold me in place about as well as my panache underwire sports bra, so that’s pretty good, especially considering it is wireless (which I prefer) and has front adjust straps with hooks that won’t slip (which I love). E cup is the biggest they go. One thing I like about this over my Panache wired is that since it’s wireless I don’t have to worry about my close set boobs. When supported there is basically no space between them, so any wires that aren’t overlapping are slightly uncomfortable after awhile. The molded cups give some shape to prevent too extreme uniboob, and the look and support for me at least is superior to the Panache Wireless. If people in the size range and prefer wireless give it a try!!

    • It is definitely a nice one. Glad you are enjoying yours. The electric blue is nice though I would probably get the olive green or burgundy option for this if I decide to get it. I did not do anything like jumping but then I don’t have to, given that it is not a part of my exercises.
