Reviews of this bra weren't too good, but I loved the colour and the design too much and decided to give it a go once it went on sale. I'm happy I did, because the fit isn't nearly as dreadful as I expected. First off, the band is firm and perfect. The cups give me a vintage-y shape, very pointy but lifted and chic. The gore is slightly too wide for me and is sitting on boob tissue, but it's not too bad because the gore height is rather low (and I have this issue with ALL BRAS except my Ewa's). The lace is gorgeous and so different ...from all the usual designs. I'm not particularly bothered by the top layer not being attached to the cup. The wires are too wide for me, perhaps the widest I own after the widest 30G - Fauve ยป Maya Full Cup Bra With Side Support (0272) but it is still wearable with the help of the inner side-sling.
Overall I recommend this bra for very projected, medium-rooted FoB boobs who have a soft spot for a retro silhouette. Read more 80 more words
I don't know what size the models are in the Figleaves photographs but they are much perkier or smaller than I. Simply not enough support from this bra to make it flattering on me. I feel like my boobs are in a sling and all the weight is carried through the lace straps at my collar bone.
Me: Narrow roots, narrow shoulders, evenly round, lots of immediate projection, slightly FoB, splayed, left-heavey by more than a cup size, like a tight band. Panache, Freya size 30GG
This is a very odd bra. It is essentially a very simple mesh bra with a very stretchy lace outer triangle bra on top. But the lace is only anchored to the mesh at the outside edge. Consequently, it can be pulled off to the side (see picture) and serves virtually no useful purpose. I had thought it might provide some additional shaping and support, but it is too stretchyand does not come ...in far enough. Not sure if I will just yank it off or if I will attempt to tighten it up.
Otherwise, nicely narrow wires, good projection cup fits really well - no quading even after jumping around.
Straps are narrow in the front and only adjust half way. they are almost too wide for me, but most brands are. Plus, almost an extra inch in the wite channel under the arms. Not uncomfortable, but i do not have high hopes of how long it will last!
Plus, stretchy band - no extender needed.
