This is a great bra, just not for me. It's probably at least a cup size small. Due to the shallowness of the cups I can't get it in my IMF. I have kept it however, as a 'date bra' when I want to get the traditional cleavage.
The tops immediately began to curl, leaving this weird lip... so kinda made the t-shirt smoothness that it was supposed to offer moot. I'd have to stretch the material from the bottom of the bra back to try and get it from pulling the edge into a curl.
I wish that the bra had less pokey straps. The bit where the cup meets the strap is poking me. I'm sure it's nothing a wash won't fix. I never thought a 'push up' or padded bra would ever be comfortable because I'm shallow shaped and my tissue is dense, but this was lovely. The color is pretty and the bra gives me a nice shape.
My shape (as far as I have figured it out): average root width, tall roots, even fullness, projected, very soft breasts.
I bought this bra about a year ago, when I thought I had shallow, wide-rooted breasts. (And it was this bra that helped me figure out that I am not!) While pretty and practical, this one is a shape mismatch for me - it is much too shallow. My breasts push the cups down and then fold into them. I also quad from the top - after a proper swoop and scoop, my nipples sit *just* above the cups. Which looks hilarious, but obviously means this one is ...not wearable.
The band is giving. If you prefer a firmer band I wouldn't recommend this one. Other than that, it is a well-made and comfortable bra. If the shape suited me I am quite sure I would wear it all the time!
NB. For the cup height measurement I measured the centre inner seam from the wire to the top of the lining. The lace overlay seems, to me, to more aesthetic than a functional part of the cup, so I did not include it in my measurement. Read more 87 more words
EDIT: the lace on the top of the cup has come quite loose, so I don't feel supported anymore and my breasts are left flapping at my sides instead of being brought together. The lace wrinkles and there's empty space in the top. I'll try to sew the lace near the gore to fix this.
I love love love this bra! Finding the right size was a little tricky because from the reviews I knew that the band was a little tight and the cups large, but I managed to order the perfect size (I went down a cup size and up a band size, which is convenient since ...lepel doesn't make 28 bands). I bought it from Bravissimo and it was quite cheap, so I'm really happy! The bra is very supportive and makes me feel sexy because of the lovely, soft black lace on the top of the cup. From the side the shape of my breasts looks a little funny but while wearing clothes they look perfectly rounded. I wouldn't recommend this bra to someone with very prominent/large/high nipples because they would show a lot through the lace (unless they're okay with that, of course!). I have slightly inverted nipples so that's not an issue for me, because even if I can see them through the lace, they're not visible through clothes. Read more 114 more words
This was when I did not knew my true bra size. The underwires were far too narrow so i changed that. Thank God the Lepel is open on top so it worked somehow but it is not the right bra for me.
Officially a 30D fits like a 30DD, I was thinking it may have been mislabelled. Very light, no lining. Fits well apart from the quadding on my bigger side. black colourway
This bra is not a fit on more levels than one, yet amazingly it is the most comfortable bra I ever put on. It is so comfy that I am actually thinking about adjusting the too wide gore. In fact, when I pinch the gore with my fingers, the quadboob eases. This is a full cup version, but acts as a balcony on me. Absolutely thrilled with its softness.
I originally ordered this in a 32D (see my review) but I thought it got lost in the mail. I did eventually get Figleaves to resend the package but by then 32Ds were sold out so I got a 30DD. Of course shortly after my original package showed up. I usually wear a 30DD/E and had been told to size up in the band because it ran small which it definitely does. I can wear it but it's not terribly comfortable. The wires dig and you can see the print being distorted a lot on the band. The fabric is sadly pretty thin and the band is only ...a single layer.
The cups run large in every size apparently. Weirdly the cups on the 30DD seem to run a little bigger than the 32D, maybe there's different scaling in DD+ cups or they're just inconsistent, who knows. This fits like a big 28F. My bigger boob makes a good effort to fill the cup and is kind of okay looking, my smaller boob doesn't really manage. This one is definitely going back, but I'll probably keep the 32D. The cups are also fairly closed on top so I get a bit of a weird shelf boob thing going on. This happens with the 32D too but it isn't as bad. It's a cute bikini, but it could be better. Definitely size up in the band and down in the cup if you plan on getting one.
As for the bottoms, I got the brief in a 10 and I'd say it fits a bit looser than most of my size 10 panties. It's not bad on my 37" hips, but if you're smaller than that you may want to size down. They don't give me a muffin top though. Read more 189 more words
I usually wear a 30DD/E but I heard this bra ran small in the band and big in the cup so I settled on a 32D. The band is pretty good, I think it's snug enough to stay in place. I also tried this in a 30DD and it was uncomfortably snug. The cups unfortunately do run big, I'd say this fits like a bigger 30E. It's kind of passable on my bigger side but not so much on my small side. I think a 32C would likely be too small so I'm considering adding cookie pockets to this one. I don't think it's worth the trouble of returning it.
The quality is a little iffy. It's not bad, but a couple of the seams are slightly lumpy and wrinkly and the gore is a little off kilter. The fabric is also extremely stretchy and quite thin. The bow is actually a kind of fluorescent pink-red instead of the bright red I thought it was. Cute, but not what I was hoping for.
It doesn't exactly fit, but it doesn't not-fit, either. It's reasonably comfortable and it's beautiful. I think it will be comfortable when the band and the straps stretch out a little bit. I was considering returning it but I think I'm keeping it.
I was told to size down one cup size; I think that's accurate. I might have sized up one band, too. The straps are very wide-set - they feel a little wide to me and that's not a usual problem for me. They're also quite short.
Fits like 28E, slightly small for me all over. Tight band, pretty typical for Lepel. Not really padded, has thick lining. Would be good as a strapless option for self supporting breasts, would be risky for me to use it without the straps. I am happy with the shape it gives, but is about a cup small, so I spill over on my bigger side.
