Amazon accidentally sent me this one instead of my actual order. So here's another entry for the database. Le Mystere bras always seem to have short, wide-set straps with restricted stretch, and high sides. (The Safari Perfect Uplift might just be the only exception, that I know of.) So...my "functionally FoB" shape leaves these cups just a little too open when I start moving around. If not for that I might be tempted to keep it. But not this time.
In a nutshell: Shallow and proportionately wide. The cups and wires are way too wide and the straps are way too far apart for me. Although the cup edge fits ok when standing, it's just completely the wrong shape in every other detail. Too bad, too, since the fabrics are beautiful. The cups are smooth and nicely rounded. The band is true to size. The lace on the band is really pretty and not scratchy. The straps have just the right amount of stretch.
I love the way this bra looks, it's obviously very well-made, and it gives nice cleavage. Unfortunately the right cup just isn't quite big enough (I'm lopsided, I've heard this is normal), so I get quad-boob a little on that side. Also the underwire sits about half an inch off my sternum and pinches my cleavage. I ended up getting the next cup size up.
Band is VERY snug - I'll need to put an extender on it to wear it comfortably. Has convertible straps (for criss-cross, one-sided, halter) and also came with a set of clear straps for versatility. Left cup cuts in very slightly on inside upper edge (right fits fine) - may work better for me in criss-cross or halter mode. Also goes a little bit high under the armpit for me (but not uncomfortably so). Cups are filled out fine, but has an odd shelf effect on the underside of the cup (probably not noticeable under clothes) - feels very supportive. Seems like a well-made bra, overall.
Construction seems sturdy - lace trim seems a little itchy on sensitive skin. Band is very snug - might want to go up a size. Digs in under the armpits on me - seems like wires might be too far back and/or too far up. Center gore is too tall for my taste, and the bra feels like it's flattening everything, but it doesn't seem to be giving me quadra-boob on top..
I have never felt so secure and comfortable in a bra! It is comfortable, it seems sturdy, and it is a shame I can't find it one cup size larger. I will be looking into other styles of this brand, but I am on a budget and this one was the cheapest...perhaps because the fit is off.
Very pretty and the convertible feature is nice but the 32G on this bra is inaccurate. The bottom of the cups is very shallow which causes the gore and the wires to dig into my ribcage painfully.
Very pretty but kind of small in the cup. The bottom of the cup is slightly too shallow for me and my boobs push it down over the course of the day. Still gives a nice shape and is rather attractive overall.
I love this bra! It gives good lift and shape. The fabric is very soft and I like the Safari detail. The straps are thick enough and the wires don't poke into my armpits. However, I think for me the band is too big and I would do well with a 30. The gore is wide, so it does not push the breast tissue together.
I've just started discovering "proper" fitting bras. So far my best fit has been in the Fantasie 30F/30FF, but I heard that Le Mystere bands run somewhat tight, so I thought I would give it a try. It fit ok, I couldn't find any major fit problems with it (although the cup shape looked somewhat strange on my smaller breast. It wasn't wrinkling, it just looked strange), but I didn't wear it for very long so I'm not sure if the band would have started to ride up.
I ended up returning it though because of how much east/west projection the bra gave me/how large my chest looked from the front. It wasn't the shape I was looking for.
GREAT CLEAVAGE. but actually. i haven't had cleavage this good since i was quadraboobing out of my 32D bras. and this one actually fits and is comfortable.
my only issue is that as a petite woman the straps don't quite adjust to where i'd like them to be, and i can see this becoming more of an issue as the bra stretches out. the cups also seem a little large and set wide and low.
Just doesn't fit. Way too big around the band and too small in the cups. The central gore really floats away from my sternum. The band is kind of stiff, and probably would be supportive if it fit. The cups are also pretty firm, and look like they would give a good shape, as long as your breasts fit exactly. This is not a bra that conforms to your body. If it fits you, I'm sure it's great, but Le Mystere's sizing just isn't right for me.
The straps are convertible to halter or racerback, but have a wide trim, which seems like a very odd choice. Other than that, there isn't any decoration to speak of.
I'd heard so many great things about this bra, but for me that's just not the case. Fit is one issue, as it's much too big around and much too small in the cups. The other issue is that this bra is truly, incredibly ugly. I was actually relieved when it fit so poorly. I'm 24 and just seeing this bra in my drawer would make me think I was 60.
The straps are very wide, I'm sure for comfort, but taken to the extreme. The body of the bra looks and feels like armor. If it fit it would probably ...be invisible under a T-shirt, as it's nearly completely seamless with hidden underwire and a great nude color. It looks like it would be supportive and it's clearly well made, but it's definitely not for me.
As for fit, it wasn't even close. The underwire sits at least an inch away from my sternum, partly because the band is simply too big, but also because my breasts don't come close to fitting into the cups. I tried it in both an F and G cup, and they're both so far off I couldn't tell any difference.
The more I think of it, I think the issue isn't so much that the bra doesn't fit me, but rather I don't fit this bra, because the bra itself is not one that will forgive or conform in any way. Read more 140 more words
I have made a mistake with this bra, ordering a cup smaller than I should. But it still fits in a way if I stuff the breasts in it to avoid spillage, supports and doesen't slide. It's nice to let the shoulders rest completely. It doesen't show through clothes.
It however makes my bust lower-positioned and gives it a really weird look from the front - it cuts in the sides of the breasts. But probably it's the sizing issue. It is certainly usable with many tops I never thought I could wear.
