    Didn't fit

I will preface this by saying, I ordered this bra, figuring that there was a chance that it may not fit, but because I heard that Gorsenia tends to be more open in the cup, I decided to try it.

Okay moving on. This bra is absolutely gorgeous. The lighting doesn't show it well, but the it's this deep, navy blue with embroidery details along the upper mesh section and the straps. The cup is a three part construction consisting of an upper mesh layer as well as a lower section divided by a vertical seam. The lower section seems to be made out of a material that's a ... strong quality? I think it will hold up with time, at the same time it feels soft against the skin.

The band stretches from 25 inches to 29.5 inches. For reference I wear a 28 back, and I have to hook this one up on the tightest hook. The cup depth was measured for both maximum and minimum. It was the maximum cup depth that I placed in the measurement field. The maximum cup depth was measured by stretching the cup over the knee. This was recorded at 14.25 inches. The minimum cup depth was measured by hovering the cup between the knees and hanging the tape measure. This was recorded at 13.25 inches.

In terms of cup width I'd probably put it slightly, less narrow than Panache, but still wide (wider than Ewa Michalak bras that's for sure)

As for the fit, I am spilling over both cups, more so on the larger side. I will note that the tip of the mesh section, after the elastic stitching, doesn't quite lie flat. I do wonder if the cutting in is due to the stitching on the mesh, or just because it's too small/does not have the amount of space I need in that section. The gore doesn't lie flat, but again, I rarely have bras that do, and it is not a deal breaker for me. There is empty space at the bottom of the bra as well as some of the sides due to how far back the wires go. So unfortunately this bra didn't work for me, but it is a gorgeous bra, so if you fit within this range and the wires, depth, etc. suits you, I'd say go for it.

I ordered this from MagdaBras4you whose customer service was excellent and kept me informed every step of the way.

thanks Sovavosi . That's okay, you win some, you lose some..but I think I'll be sticking with EM bras for now, despite their inconsistencies.

So I gave Gorsenia a try since this one and the other I'll be reviewing ran large in the cups. Although this is the case, the cups are still too small.. but they're also too big at the same time. It's a bit of a wonky construction if you ask me.

The wires are too wide, so there's empty space along the side of the cups (under my arms).
The top of the cups have too much fabric (or maybe my short roots can't fill it?)
My pendulous breasts REALLY pull the cups down, which in turn makes the band ride up. Not a good combination.
The seam on the cups cut into my tissue on both cups. My firmer tissue on my right breast has alot more of a glaring issue than my softer and bigger side.

It's just a weird bra in terms of fit for me. :/

Oh dear, shame it doesn't fit! It's not pendulousness per se that is making the band ride up--it's probably due to the fact that a too-large cup, with extra unfilled fabric on the sides and elsewhere, effectively makes the whole bra fit looser. Too-large cups also reduces the surface tension of the cup and can create this weird effect of the seams looking like they're indenting your tissue. If you like it a lot perhaps a cup down would be worth trying?

Welcome to my world of bra confusion. 😄

    • 1

Sorry this one doesn’t work for you.

    • 2

wendybien I don't think sizing down is going to fix the problem as it's just going to cut further into my super soft tissue.

@mamapagan Haha, true! Maybe it'll work better for someone else! :)

@sovavosi Hey, that's okay. At least I know now! :)

    • 1

isn't it "interesting" how they can fit and function in different size ranges? I love Gorsenias...their wires are just as narrow as EM in my size and they are so light.

    • 2

AprilGoulding Many brands fail to meet the mark at the upper limit of their cup ranges, so we at this range are used to our experiences not matching other ranges.
Part of it is "guess" or "assumption" scaling instead of actual live bodies to test the bras on. This is often problematic for us. The general rules than may apply to other ranges rarely do in ours. :-/

    • 1

AprilGoulding Interesting is definitely a word for it 🤣 it's such a shame because I actually really like it. It's such a nice shade of yellow. Very spring-timey :p I'm very happy your Gorsenias work!

      @mamapagan True. :)

    • 2

Yes...I've noticed from you girls how different it is in your size range.
I think there's a couple of thresholds for us with small bands especially...one where the cup exceeds DD and then again where it exceeds H/I-ish.
Hmmmmmm...you think they'd be smart and use live fit models. Its not like you're THAT rare.

    • 2

AprilGoulding With several of us right here on BtB, I agree! 😄

    • 3

Yep. It can get a little ridiculous. I've got to say, I've noticed the hurdle with other bra brands myself. Most can't make it over to ours safely without lots of.. crashes 😋

I'd be more than willing to help out. Bra science, man.

    • 3

Me too. I got annoyed when Her Room said conical breasts don't exist over a C cup. I guess I don't exist, no need to make anything fit me 🙄

This is my second (failed) attempt at Gorsenia.

The gore wires get pushed underneath each other. Maybe this happens because the wires are too far apart and the weight of my breast just pushes against it? I don't know.
I have quadding towards the gore wires, but borderline empty fabric towards the top of the cups.
My underboob gets pinched too. Both sides.
The upside is that the band is comfortable haha. 🙃

I was so exited to ordering this bra in 65M. I decided to order a size smaller than my Gorsenia Patti, as i lost couple pounds after flu and felt like patty became a little big (perfect if the gore had tucked) and Bacio Rosa was even bigger.
Big mistake. The width of the cup is the same as 75M, so wires do not tuck either, cups run smaller and lower not giving me enough room. they still hold the boobs but in a way the scarf would hold -a little from the sides, squishing them together, not much lift, like the cups are holding them down, covering at ... the top, so they would not jump out.
Don't get me wrong - women with roots sitting lower on their body may enjoy this bra (I would do at least in 70M or better in 65N-O), but for my shape higher placed roots, with boobs longer, not wider I need narrow and deep cups (and taller gore), and this size simply do not do it for me. I am deciding whether to keep or send it back as bigger size is already unavailable. Bra manufactures have to learn how to make big cups for 65 and smaller bands. Bra is gorgeous, if you in their size range i would recommend to try Gorsenia. Their bands are true to size, on the stretchier side but comfortable. By the way, I replaced wires on Patti with my old panache jasmine wires, but cups still do not tuck. So, back to Jasmine. What are your thoughts, Ladies?

I got this bra and several others in an exchange with the very kind veggiechic.

It is a very beautiful bra with gorgeous floral embroidery, and I love the dusty rose color. Unfortunately, it is much too small.

    Soleil 65M

I am adding this bra for data/informational purposes only. This Bra is not owned by me at the time of addition to the database.

Soleil is a pale yellow unpadded balcony bra. This particular model, as well as the Viviane model, runs very large in the cup. So far of the Gorsenia bras I have tried, these two models (same style) run about two cups larger than Gorsenia’s other models, if I was to guess.

The band measures 25” to a max stretch of 34”, with 3 hooks and 3 rows of eye loops.

    Cup Depth as measured by:
1 Hovering the cup between the knees, then placing the tape ... measure into the cups without any resistance.
    This measurement is: 13.5”

2 Placing the cup over the knee and stretching it similar to what a breast would, to the maximum resistance.
    This measurement is: 16”

I feel these two figures give you a general idea of the minimum and maximum depth that the cup can accommodate, just like the flat and stretched band measurements do with bands. Since Bratabase only has one cup field, I enter the larger of the two, as it’s this larger number that determines if a cup is going to fit me or not since I am on the max end of the cup scale, but do realize that some may need the lower number to determine fit for their needs, so I will always include both figures in the reviews for full disclosure.

Overall, this is a very pretty Spring time bra.
To compare to Gorsenia’s other unpadded balcony bras I’ve tried, Attina 65L (11.75” to 14.25”), Mistyrose 65M (12.75” to 14.5”), Aida 65M(12.5” to 15”) and Attina 65M (12.5” to 15”) it is clear that Soleil runs larger than Gorsenia’s other models.

Vivaine is another pale Springtime bra in an unpadded balcony style. It looks like Soleil, except that it is a pale blue, while Soleil is a pale yellow.

    Aida 35056 in 65M

I am adding this bra for data/informational purposes only. This Bra is not owned by me at the time of addition to the database.

Aida is an unpadded underwire bra in white with lace tops.

The band measures 24.75” to a max of 32” with 3 hooks and 3 rows of eyes. The straps are too wide set, and the curve of the cups too tall, which is a common issue with Gorsenia.

    Cup Depth as measured by:
1 Hovering the cup between the knees, then placing the tape measure into the cups without any resistance.
    This measurement is: 12.5”

2 Placing the cup over ... the knee and stretching it similar to what a breast would, to the maximum resistance.

The stretch to these cups is only on the bottom, as the upper lace has no stretch to it. This results in flattening of the breasts if you are full on top. Center gore doesn’t tack, sitting 3 fingers off the sternum as well as the flattening and odd shape, plus the straps are just too wide set and the curve of the cup side too tall which makes it an uncomfortable wear. Thus, I can only assume this bra would be great for those whose breasts are full on bottom and not on top.

I actually got the matching thong to this bra from Magda at Bras4you.com for free, as she always gives a free random pair of panties with every bra order of 2 or more bras. The funny thing about this is that I bought the bra on clearance from another seller, so it was just luck that the panties matched!

Unfortunately for me, the cups were too small, as this didn’t run as large as the Soleil & Vivaine bras I tried.

I am adding this bra for data/informational purposes only. This Bra is not owned by me at the time of addition to the database.

Attina is a soft unpadded underwire bra in black. It has smooth nylon cups with sheer lace on top. The bottom nylon has stretch to it, but the upper lace does not. I tried this bra in both 65L and 65M, please see both for full details on sizing and fit.

    I tried the 65M since the 65L wasn’t a good fit.

The band on the 65M measures 24” to a max stretch of 31”, with 3 hooks and 3 rows of eyes.

Cup Depth ... as measured by:
1 Hovering the cup between the knees, then placing the tape measure into the cups without any resistance.

Only on the bottom of the cups as the lace tops have no stretch to them at all. This leads to flattening of the breasts with is not comfortable or appealing visually.

Even with the larger cup size, I still couldn’t get the center gore to tack, and the cups still flatten my breasts. The straps, just like with the 65L, are too wide set and the curve of the cup sides too tall. If I lowered this curve and moved the straps in, it would have been wearable but still not appealing. If you have full on bottom breasts without full on top, this bra would be a great fit for you. If you have full on top breasts then you should pass as you most likely won’t like the fit.

All 30 bands are too big for me now, so I have to start on the tightest hook. Even doing so, this band is huge on me. The cups feel nice and deep. Mostly all cup tops gape on me because my breasts are shaped like cones on the top, but this one gapes on me like it’s a few cup sizes too large. It’s really a shame, because this bra is so pretty. The amount of wrinkling I get at the top is not going to be hidden by a shirt.

    • Gorsenia is great for full on top, center projected breasts but can look huge if your breast characteristics are different. Such a beauty!

    • Love4Pollinators I don't think anything is designed for cone boob sadly :|

    • Gorsenia may be the most incompatible brand for your shape. Ugh.

    • Are 30s in all brands too big for you now? Or is it all Gorsenia 30s?

    • 1

All 30s seem to be too big, but I can pull the Gorsenia away from my body more than my Curvy Kates.

    • That is disappointing. I wear mostly 28s and was hoping the lack of stretch would mean it fit tight. :(
