    Didn't fit

My shape: FOB, soft tissue, narrow roots and shoulders, projected
Appearance: Simply stunning light blue bra, with really elegant orange and silver embroidery. These Polish lingerie companies really know how to make a beautiful bra! The gore has a tony blue crystal charm, and the embroidery design travels up the straps, as well.
Fit: Sadly, this bra doesn't fit me in many different areas. Just as MamaPagan warned me, the straps are too wideset, which I thought would be avoided if I ordered the 65 band instead of the 70. I was wrong. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> The cups are full and deep, but have major gaping ... for me. I think this is because the fabric is non-stretch mesh.
This would work better for someone who has more even fullness, and perhaps even someone who is FOT.
I may try to move the straps over and pinch the tops of the cups at the gore to tighten them up a bit, but I'm afraid I would just ruin the bra. I'll probably list this to see if anyone here wants to buy it, and if not, I may attempt the bra surgery.

    • Gorsenia would be a great brand if it weren't for those darn straps!

At least you're adding a bunch of wonderful data to the site, so there is a plus side to the bras that don't fit well, right? I know I appreciate the data even if it's not my size, as every bra added helps strengthen the site. :-)

    • This bra is beautiful! Too bad about the straps :(

    • I'm sorry it doesn't work for you, because you are right, it is stunning. As soon as your post went up I started looking for it online with no luck. I think it is from a couple years back, and they have moved on. I reviewed a @Gorsenia Emilly above and I am going to add a @ Gorsenia Claire soon. Gorsenia is just so beautiful. And not overly expensive!

    Hasn't set fit

First, my measurements: They are effin' correct. The bra DOES NOT have 5.8" cup width, it's 6.7". I have no idea who measured a random Gorsenia bra in this size as that narrow but that is absolutely incorrect for this bra. To get a measurement of 5.8" I would have to measure 1/3 of the way up from the bottom of the underwire. And yes, it is deeper and taller in cup and snugger in band than the extrapolated measurements insist. I am ridiculously meticulous with measuring and it honestly pisses me off that my measurements are sometimes ignored - in one case the person I had bought ... a bra from had measured the cup 0.5" narrower than it actually was which made it a bad fit for me, and Bratabase still ignores my measurement in favor of theirs. Okay, rant over.

Appearance: While it looks lilac on the promotional image, cups, straps, band and hardware are actually a cool beige color made of a semi-matte fabric, a good nude for lighter cool-toned skin. The embroidery isn't as dark either, the larger flowers are a lighter purple with silver metallic threads throughout, the rest of the embroidery is a near-white silvery color. It's difficult to capture the colors in photo. The bra is embroidered in the sheer upper section of the cup, along the gore, and along the bottom of the band almost halfway of the cup. The center gore is also decorated with a large light lilac bow and pretty prominent floral bling. The bows at the strap attachment are smaller in matching color. The straps have a soft picot trim and are continued in the back along the strap platform. The bra combines a very minimalist overall look with a relatively bold embroidery choice - I don't often see metallic thread used.

Construction: Bottom section of the cup is a one layer strong non-stretch woven fabric. The upper section has two layers of sheer mesh. The mesh material is the same, the inner layer remains stretchy (only vertical stretch) the upper layer doesn't have any stretch due to embroidery. The seam along the cup edge is further stabilized with a strip of siliconey/plasticky material. I have no idea what it is but it's not uncommon to find it there. The gore is also made of the same two layers of mesh. The inside of the gore is more interesting, the elastic is cut and overlapped to achieve a sharper curve along the bottom of the band there. The band up to the side boning uses the same non-stretch woven material as in the bottom section of the cup, and is backed with one layer of the mesh used for the upper cup section. Side boning is very soft and the tips are tucked under the elastic (I love when manufacturers do that). The rest of the band is powermesh, the inside edge along the strap platform is unfinished. Three rows of hooks and eyes.

Fit: Fits between a 28HH and 30H. Really quite snug in band. I got the bra with the intention to wear it with an extender but it's too small even then. The cups are rather wide, and deep. I think there are two versions of the unlined Gorsenia, one being wider and taller, and the other a bit shorter and narrower all over. Both equally deep and friendly towards fullness, especially at the wire and gore, but somewhat on the top too.

    • Gorgeous bra! Sorry it doesn't fit. I love the metallic thread too.
And I know how you feel about the measurements things. I'm really meticulous too and I notice most people take the measurements how they think it should be taken as opposed to following the pictures provided on the measurement from. The only measurements that have any "opinion" about them is cup height and maybe cup depth. Cup Height because some people take the tallest possible measurement while others pick the center of the cup and cup depth because I don't think the under wires should be warping while taking this measurement but some say that it doesn't matter if their warping it must be the most completely stretched, warped wires , fabric threads showing stretched to get cup depth.
After reading here that some gorsenia bras run tight in the band then I will likely give them a shot.

Giggle. You'll find a similar rant in my Gorsenia reviews. There ARE TWO fundamentally different, unlined balconette patterns. My hypothesis is K000-K199 are significantly wider than K200+ models. Maddening that the measurements are confounded.

Sincerely, thank you for adding measurements!!

    • 2

Extrapolated measurements and user error are the top reasons I basically ignore most BTB measurements unless there’s a large sample and a consistent trend I can put some weight into (example Cleo Marcie). I still contribute them, as it’s the goal of this site, but I find others measurements difficult to trust. I stick to brands/cuts I’ve tried or are widely known to fit a certain way based on reviews & photos.

    • LeProfessor - they do, but the bands seem to stretch out kinda fast, that's why I went down in band from what I normally wear.

    • Unfortunately for me blubblub I have no choose for sizing down as I should be wearing a 28 band, but many polish brands (i.e. gorsenia, Gaia, nessa, etc.) do not go lower than a 30 band. So just learning that they're firm at all is exciting for me.
And @Icl0706 this is the way I look at the measurements here on BtB. I check 'm out, see if they make sense (no jumping from a large cup depth for 30E at 9" then a 30F being 8.2" or some nonsense). Then I go in and look at whom inputted the distinct measurements. Then I go to their profile and look through the other measurements that they have inputted to see if their accurate (at least for the brands I'm more acquainted with), I also take their reputation into account and see if they talk about any measurements that may be outliers in their reviews. This helps me make a correct assumption on the accuracy of the measurements.

  3. Emilly Soft Underwire Bra (K252)

Me: Narrow roots, narrow shoulders, evenly round, lots of immediate projection, slightly FoB, splayed, left-heavey by more than a cup size, like a tight band. Panache, Freya size 30GG

    Materials and appearance:
not luxury quality, but very good for the price. we'll see how it wears. very pretty metalic embroidery and plastic rhinestones.

Shape: very round and decently centered for no side support. Cup is slightly wrinkled at underwire so not quite enough projection for me, but what is?

Fit: straps, as ever, too wide, but not as wide as Ewa Michalak, but again, no side support. Wires could be narrower, but not too bad. Good side boning. Top of cup quads at center but gapes at strap attachment - but only slightly. Center gore very low for a full cup. Straps scalloped for no slide adjustment all the way up to embroidery at strap attachment.

Definitely going to try other styles!

    Gorsenia Marine 65J

Marine K275 is an unpadded underwire bra in turquoise blue with a white leaf pattern. The color is very beautiful.

The band measures 24.5” to a max of 31” with 3 hooks and 3 rows of eyes.

I am adding this bra for data/informational purposes only. This Bra is not owned by me at the time of addition to the database.

    Cup Depth as measured by:
1 Hovering the cup between the knees, then placing the tape measure into the cups without any resistance.
    This measurement is: 11.5”

2 Placing the cup over the knee and stretching it similar to what a breast would, to the ... maximum resistance.
    This measurement is: 13.5”

I feel these two figures give you a general idea of the minimum and maximum depth that the cup can accommodate, just like the flat and stretched band measurements do with bands. Since Bratabase only has one cup field, I enter the larger of the two, as it’s this larger number that determines if a cup is going to fit me or not since I am on the max end of the cup scale, but do realize that some may need the lower number to determine fit for their needs, so I will always include both figures in the reviews for full disclosure.

Not sure to understand what's going on here. This is my first try at Gorsenia, and since it is a Polish brand I thought the sizing would be closed to Comexim's sizing, which I'm quite familiar with, but to my surprise the cups were way bigger than expected. I don't want to give bad advise, but I think the sizing is pretty closed to UK sizes actually...

It's too bad because it looks pretty good!

Me: Narrow roots, narrow shoulders, evenly round, lots of immediate projection, very soft tissue, slightly FoB, slightly centre full, splayed, never met a gore I didn't like, left-heavey by more than a cup size, 31" underbust, but prefer tight band with extender. Panache, Freya size 30GG

An older Gorsenia model. Both the band and the cups are smaller than my Emilly. The cups are wider too. The strap set width is too wide, but not so different from Emilly. I get a soft tack, but it is not clear if that is from my centre fullness or from the fact that is is too small in the cup volume.

This bra has a piece wholly new to me. See photos. best I can describ it is a short side sling that continues arround the bottom edge of the cup all the way to the bottom of the gore. It gives a very interesting shape. It means the bra itself has fantastic immediate projection, but it also has a stiff layer ... of padded support extending about a inche straight out from the bottom. It gives more lift, certainly, and is really comfortably done for breasts with a lot of immediate projection. The problem is that it depends of being completely filled and weighed down by breast tissue. My smaller side is so much smaller that is floats in this cup. This construction element essentially removes my ability to use silicon pads to balance out my sizes. My smaller side simply isn't heavy enough to weigh down the sling and so it exacerbates my assymetry.

Otherwise, I really like this one. Because I can't fill the right cup, the right strap sits too far into my armpit that it cuts in. All Gorsenias do this if I don't pad the right side, but with this style I just can't fix it.

Beautiful lace and soft and thick cotton lining. No nipple show through bar hormone induced.

Only two hooks on this, which is surprising, and standard Gorsenia larger band - no extender.

Lots of extra room on top and top lace panel is loose and stretchy so very open for FoT or tall roots.

Beautiful bra, but the band runs very tight. It also doesn't seem to work well for close-set breasts with immediate projection; my breasts push the gore out and away from my chest even though technically the cups should fit. It also has a great amount of immediate lower projection. If you have splayed breasts that are FOB or evenly full, this is a great bra for you.

  12. Cappuccino Soft Underwire Bra (K022)

Very well constructed bra, sturdy, designed for support. I would agree that this is "a lot of bra"--3 hook back, high wings under arm, wide wires. Exactly what I'm looking for. Extremely high gore is a little strange but it doesn't press in/hurt. Perfect wide/shallow shape for me. The cup is just a little large, next time I will order a cup size down. Important to note that fabric stains very easily--after one wear there's large sweat stains under the arms. Hasn't happened to me before.

The appearance and quality of this embroidered lace bra is quite nice but it just doesn't quite fit.

    1) The gore is far too high. The top of the gore digs/presses in to my ribcages.

    2) The wire is too wide - that is, it goes quite far back on my sides.

    3) The wire sits two fingers below the base of my breast. It might be because the band is too tight? (It will close but be uncomfortable. Perhaps with an extender the wires will sit higher...)

    4) On my larger side, the cup still seams empty. It is definitely empty on my smaller side but that was to be expected.

    5) Straps came really close to digging into armpits.
