I've now found out that the previous owner has altered the wires a bit, i.e. she has bent them so that they are now a few millimetres wider. My measurement of the cup width is 12.3 cm /4.8 inches, but they must have been a bit narrower originally.
The bra is very comfortable, and fits my wide root shallow boobs well. I'd recommend this half cup bra to anyone who can still find it https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />.
