It will NOT hold up a strapless dress at my size. The bra is heavily padded, so it's obvious that it's not my natural breast size. That said, I will very likely be wearing this as is for dressy occasions where the shape of the dress requires a bit more to fill it. If I ever need to wear it as a strapless style, I will of necessity need to remove several inches from the band...surely affecting comfort.
