This was one of my first well-fitting bras and I still love love love it. Initially I was worried because 1) it was a bit pointy (think marilyn monroe boobs) and 2) I was definitely not used to the natural look. Thankfully, the more I wore (and washed) it, those issues have softened. This bra does create an uplifted, natural shape, but it is now more rounded rather than pointy (but still not basketball round like cleo bras). It is not quite as center-full friendly as the Ignite, but it is much better than the Ooh La La. Sizing is consistent (I wear a 30F in all unlined freya except the Rio/Gem). It is superbly comfortable for all day, though I have noticed the elastic starting to stretch out in the back and in the straps (this bra has been consistently in my rotation for 2 years). The color and pattern is still vibrant and joyful.
I own two of these bras (Freya Tropics in 30FF) and one in a 30F. Like most unlined freya, this bra has fantastic depth/projection (immediate projection and apex projection). Very comfy. As I said in the other 30FF review, this bra is a little too big and a little too tall, and thus creates an elf-shoe shape on me. See the 30F review for a solid fit and bra quality review.
Too tall for me. Fits my boobs during pms week, but thats it. Creates a bit of a pointy shape because the cup is too big, but not the worst I've seen. The 30F fits much better, for more details, see that review.
Great cone shape bra! Freya band is definitely stretchy, which is the only reason I fit into the 32, but the cups fit well (there could be just a little more room at the top of the cups but it is a sister size for me so that's not unexpected). Ideally I'd prefer maybe a 34FF but this was the closest thing they had in stock and the print is so cute that I wanted to make sure I got it before it was gone.
This was my favorite bra while I fit in that size range, but now it's cluttering up my bra drawer. Typical Freya plunge, giving a natural, rounded-teardrop-ish shape. The colors are really vivid and work well together. The band is a little stretchy as the bra has been loved over a period of about five months.
I got this bra from another user and my first impression, it's much much prettier in person! The colors are so vibrant and fun! Total summer bra. I wasn't sure how the 28FF would fit, since I'm always back and forth with Freya, either a 28FF or a 28G. The 28FF seems to fit nicely. There is a little tiny bit of the cup digging in at the top where the lace is but its so minimal and barely noticeable. This bra is SUPER DUPER comfy!!! I'm actually very impressed! I thought for sure the gore would bother me like most bras do with gores of this height, ...but it's not a problem at all.
The band seems pretty stretchy for a 28 and I had to hook it on the second set of hooks right away. The straps are very comfy and soft and aren't too far apart. They aren't fully adjustable but that doesn't bother me. The wires are just the right width for me, and the cups have moderate projection. I might even be able to do a 28G in this. I was just worried the cups would wrinkle. The shape I get with this bra is a very natural look, a little on the pointy side, but not overtly so. I tried a tight tank top on with it and it's not bad, not as round as I prefer but def wearable. It looks pointier from the side and at an angle. From the front it looks fantastic (so that's why the models never show a side view!!).
But overall, I really like this bra. And as always with Freya, for me anyway, the band is staying in place! No need to tug or yank it back down. And sublimely comfortable!! I honestly wasn't expecting this nice of a fit from an unlined bra
UPDATE: So I wore this for a few hours and when I took it off, OUCH! The gore dug into my sternum so badly, left a very nasty red indentation I had a complete red outline of the entire bra, gore, wires, band and all. Lol. Just a tad too tight. Read more 261 more words
I'm not so broken up about this bra, as I think it's not as attractive as Thimble. It's a good thing, too, as it's utterly unfit. I never thought I would have cause to use this phrase, but the wires are so wide, they're wrapping around my back! I had no idea how uncomfortable that could be! It's hard for me to judge how it fits my breasts - it's not being shoved out of my IMF, but I was being stabbed in the sternum and the back at the same time, so I didn't keep it on that long. Back it goes!
