Ordered this on the off chance I could make it work with a band size up and 2 cups down! Freya do not do these none wired triangle bikinis in a 28 for some strange reason???
Anyway, I was hoping the front being tight would make the band firmer. I am very pleased with the result. The band is fine, could be tighter but on hols, I do not want or need a tight band. Support isnt great, if you need good support and lift. However If you are just after something comfortable that looks good and you wont spill out of, this is great. I do not have to tie the strings tightly, so they do not pull on my neck. Excellent Freya quality as usual. Plus it was only £12!
It is the zambia model, as I have made a mistake when adding it to the database.

Another bikini bust! But probably not a total loss. The cups on this are just too wide for me with more than two fingers width gap between where the side of my boob ends and the wire sits on the side. Even if I tried to bend the wires or replace with narrower ones, the cup would just be too big overall then. It’s a very lovely white, with fully adjustable, comfortable soft straps. They do sit wide set for me, but again it’s due to a too big cup. Currently if I were to bend over and bring my arms together you’d get a free show lol. ... It has one plastic back clasp, and the band feels loose for a 30, but overall comfy. The fabric overlay has a subtle pattern, but can be delicate and might snag on rough surfaces. I definitely wouldn’t go body surfing in this, you’d end up with an outer cup full of sand lol. The cup is soft with one vertical seam up the center of the cup. Overall it is really nice and comfy for mom-on-the-go. I just reordered a 30FF to see if I can get a better fit.

Love this! I love white suits!

    • cupandahalf It really is a great top. I really hope one cup size down fits. Granted it’s a swimsuit, so it doesn’t have to be perfect, but to have a well fitting suit to move around in is a dream. This goes with literally any bottom color or pattern!

I just ordered a 30GG in this style, hopefully it's not too big. Your cup depth measurement has me worried!

    • 1

Very stunning. I hope your reorder works better for you. 🍀

brasaremean I saw that you had really good luck with that bra that looks like a Fantasy Rebecca in 30GG. Beautiful bra on you and I wish Rebecca had worked for me because it’s so lovely. I filled out a Rebecca in 30FF. I think this particular one would work great for you since you have natural tissue. A lot of times when you have implants, like me, our natural tissue however much you have can only be manipulated into a bra cup so much. It’s also common to be a bigger cup size because of upper pole fullness. I really think this size will be great for you. It’s really comfy and the sweetheart neckline is very flattering. It was so comfy it didn’t even hurt when I tried it on and I’m really sunburnt right now lol.

Really wide cup for wide-set breasts. Not a good choice for close-set, center-full breasts without significant alterations. The cup height may also pose a problem for full on top breasts. Straps are fully adjustable and covered by Coral Bay's sumptuous floral. This fabric is super soft and feels wonderful directly contacting skin.

I was smitten by the abstract, fuchsia-infused watercolor floral after viewing cupandahalf 's review. I should have just ordered a fabric swatch because wearing wires is simply irritating when they sit on breast tissue at the gore and underarm. And, when cups are too-wide-set, the underwire digs into my ribs. This is 99.9% of wired ... bras on me. Finally, there is no lift when wires tether my breasts. My wireless bras are much more supportive than this wired design.

Although these straps are repositionable, I was unable to detach one of the straps. I won't need to worry about one of the straps flying loose https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";-)" /> https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";-)" />

The wire is shorter than the underwire casing which allows the wearer to shift the underwire away from the gore. With this shift, a .7" gore height is created. So, an ultra low gore is possible with a simple wire nudge and a few stiches to hold the wire away from the gore.

The wire discomfort has diminished my need for this gorgeous bikini. Sigh. It may be a better idea to purchase a Coral Bay tankini and make my own swim top...

Amazing abstract floral fabric and best for wider set breasts.

      Thanks for the great review!

    • 3

It is literally the most beautiful fabric. I had to do a lot of sewing to make mine work though. A 36J had cups 9 inches wide!!!

    • 2

It's gorgeous! But I can see how the fit issues steal your love for it. I think I have some of your same complaints because I started yanking out the wires in all my swim tops. :( Thankfully they were tankinis and didn't require the precise fit of a bikini top. Did you find it gave a rounded silhouette? I tend to look pointy in Freya's but yours gives me hope. :)

    • 2

Brash5 This is one Freya that creates a relatively round shape.

@cupandahalf Thank you for your photos!! Subconsciously, I had been searching for this fabric since I saw yours. :-) 9" is "so unbelievable"--EMF ear worm ;-) ;-)

    • 2

Beautiful fabric! Shame about the fit.

    • 2

Gorgeous fabric for sure. It stopped me dead in my tracks while scrolling. Bummer about the fit. I have a love-hate relationship with Freya. I love the fabrics and colors, hate the fit on almost all their bras. They’re wires are just too wide and the cups always give me a pointy torpedo shape. I finally parted ways with the bikini I had from them because the top just drove me nutz. If you dislike wires, try the Xhilaration brand from Target. Their tops come in D/DD size with adjustable tie backs and really comfortable.

    Hasn't set fit

Bandeaus are generally not a good fit on my close set and evenly full boobs. I'm starting to realize there are very little exceptions to this rule (I've had some luck with Cleo bandeaus). Unfortunately, the Revival bandeau swim top is not a good fit on me. I bought the 30G after trying the 30FF and discovering that the cup volume was not enough. The cups on the 30G are rather shallow for my shape and while the band is comfortable, it is clearly too large. The resulting effect is that the gore doesn't tack and the band where the wires are encased also does not lay flat ... against my body. I don’t get an east west look, but my boobs are definitely not as close together as they normally would be sans bra.

List of bad fit issues: quad boob, loose band, inadequate projection, nothing tacks, resulting boob shape leaves something to be desired

I'm keeping this only because the colourway is so damn awesome. I'm a sucker for indigo. There are some colours and designs that just appeal to you. It’s impossible to describe the feeling you get when you see something that looks so good—something that just makes your inner want scream GIMME.

I'd recommend this if you have moderately spaced FOB boobs without needing a huge amount of projection. It's more lightweight than Cleo bandeaus if you're looking for something that is cute and adequately supportive without feeling like you're wearing plate armour.

Fits well enough. The cups are wide but stretchy and not shallow, so it stays up well even when running and jumping (and swimming). I wouldn't play beach volleyball in it though. The cups have one vertical seam each, creating a nice, smooth but not entirely spherical, uplifted shape. I like it better than Freya's unpadded plunge bras. I feel fairly secure while on the beach, at most I get minor quadboob/centre spillage if I do any heavier activities involving a lot of boob shake. The pattern is kind of fun, brown base with pink, yellow and aqua lollipops or berries or something. Very hippie retro. I got it in a sale at Figleaves (£16.50!) and it was well worth the money. I wouldn't mind paying full price for a future replacement cut.

The adorable pattern is just as cute in real life as it is in the photos. The underwire casing on the inside is the striped fabric, which I find charming. The padding isn't really, just a thin layer of thicker fabric to discourage nipple show-through. The fabric is smooth, not itchy, and dense enough to be supportive.

The shape I get is nice: adequate coverage, not too much cleavage. The cups might be too big, but I can't tell if going down a cup will help. The 28G balcony Mirage was definitely too small--quadraboob galore--so that's why I went up a cup with the sister size.

The band is slightly ... loose; I'd say about as tight as a regular 28 band Freya day bra. (The Mirage was possibly on the too-tight side, a rare occurrence.) I had an issue with the clasp popping open, but I think that's because I didn't fasten it fully. The mechanism is novel to my fingers.

Update: When I'm just a bit more bloated due to menstruation, the cups fit me perfectly. So, all I need to do is be bloated all the time, clearly.

It looks cute and it fits me well, but I wish I would I would have gone up a cup size as it is perhaps too revealing. I plan on having it altered to shorten the straps, but this is a problem I have with almost every bra I've ever had.

The color, pattern, and design is very cute though!! I am excited to wear it as it is the first bikini I've had that comes close to fitting me.

My shape: projected, close-set, narrow and tall roots, even fullness

This bikini is pretty much the opposite of that: the cups are wide and shallow, the gore is wide, the separation is huge. I'd still wear it only if it didn't cut into my breast tissue at the top. It looked much better on the model, haha

Otherwise, it is quite cute and comfortable. Wish it was a Comexim

My bra size is 30GG but the 30GG in this model gaped at the top on me. The 30G fits well without quadding and doesn't have the gaping problem, but definitely presents a little bit more cleavage.

I LOVE the design, fabric and shape of this swimsuit. It's very cute! Unfortunately, Freya bands run loose even in their swimwear line. This 30 band is not really snug. As someone who really needs a 28 band, it’s worrisome. I think if it stretches at all while wet, or from use, it will be a no go.

I’m also not super impressed with the quality of Freya’s swimwear. The construction and materials are okay but not outstanding. I get a much better fit from Miss Mandalay swimwear or Panache swimwear, and I think those brands are both slightly better made. However, this cactus swimsuit is just so adorable I had to have it.

Although I'd rather wear Kindred Bravely Organic Cotton Nursing Bra for swimming (everything, really), the X-tra Life Lycra in Freya's Penza Plunge will retain its color, shape, and support longer. And, my daughter lives in water throughout our hot summer. So, durable fabrics are helpful.

Freya's triangle, wireless bikinis work well for my close-set, center-full, wire-hating breasts. Cleavage is on display; especially if you have taller roots. It may be important to note this model provides less coverage than the Freya Atlantis Triangle Top, but identical coverage to Freya Bamboo Island Triangle Top.

I love the texture and style of this bikini, and it's the first halter bikini I've worn that doesn't absolutely cut into my neck. The cups are a little farther apart than I typically go for, but it does minimize the size of my breasts, which I like for beach purposes. Overall good support for a swimsuit, and creates a nice décolletage.

There's not much to say about this, other than: I wish Freya made bras based on their swimsuit designs. My soft boobs don't usually get along with plunges, but this was the best plunge I've even worn, and with a low-cut dress it gave me the best cleavage I've had in years. Change the fabric, and pop on some hooks & eyes to replace the clasp, and I'd be buying this in multiple colours.

The size runs the same as any other Freya.

One thing to watch out for- the colour is almost orangey-red, less red than the stock photos.
