  1. Underwired Sports Bra (4392)

The band on this bra is nice and firm, which I would expect from a sports bra. I normally wear either a 32E or a 30F, depending on the particular bra and how firm its band is, so I opted for a 32 band in this bra, and I'm glad I did; it's very firm. I was, however, surprised to find that the cup definitely runs 1 size too small. I tried on the 32E, and after I finished scooping all of my breast tissue into the cups, I had cleavage and double boob. I sized up to a 32F and the fit is perfect. Even when I jump around, nothing moves. I have never had a sports bra like this before. Also, I look like I have two distinct boobs, rather than monoboob, like you get with compression bras. Excellent support and comfort.

    Hasn't set fit

I'm officially giving up on this model. I owned it briefly in UK 32E (my usual size) and it was too small in cups. This one is one cup size bigger but still too small. Fits like 34C/D in Wacoal sizing. And the padded strap doesn't sit right on my shoulder because I'm low set. Maybe my expectations are wrong? I thought it would be possible to fit inside the cups with some kind of separation but this is more like a firm tank top with uniboob. Anyway, this is listed for sale if anyone is interested.

I have projected, pendulous breasts and generally prefer lightly padded styles in bras, so this Freya Active Moulded Sports bra seemed really promising. It is underwired, which is an absolute necessity for me in a sports bra. For ladies with a need for wide wires, this might be lovely. Because of those wide wires I found my narrow-rooted breasts flattened, and the lack of cup depth (minimizing effect) meant that my tissue was squished out of the tops of the cups. I also have an issue with some tissue being almost pinched between the wing and strap in snug sports bras, and this bra ... aggravated that complaint. I found the inner construction of the bra a little weird with compressing fabric at the margins of the cups, which might be useful for some but with my soft tissue created some strange in-cup quadding. The straps are partially adjustable, and although elastic, are super stiff and strong for support. I did not test out the racerback hook but it has one if that's important to you. This feature could be difficult to engage onself as there is a little bump on the hook for retention of the loop, but that requires the loop be flipped around completely (so straps are effectively atop one another, right-sides facing) to slide it in. Finally, this bra passed the bounce and run-in-place test without allowing my breasts to move all about, but fitting as it did this was too uncomfortable to sustain for more than a minute.

I found this remarkably comfortable but it offers me no support at all; I might as well be wearing a bralette. I wouldn't do light yoga in it, let alone run. It could be that I got too big of a cup size (I'm probably more of a US 32F than a US 32G, but Amazon didn't distinguish between UK and US sizes). But I seemed to fill it all right, it just let my boobs hang there. It would be all right for an "around the house" bra - it fits quite a bit like my cotton unbras and so on - but the polyester material isn't as luxuriously comfortable as those, so it's kind of worst of both worlds.

I think I'm in heaven. I've never had a cup sized bathing suit and let me tell you, it's totally worth it. I've always wanted a racing/sports bikini because I like doing laps, but I hate wearing one pieces that take forever to put on and take off, which is especially inconvenient when you need to use the toilet. This is the perfect hybrid. While this doesn't support as much as my Panache Sports Bras did (even though they were too big), the fit is really nice.

There are actually two stretchy bands which confused me at first. There's an inside beige bra that is a moulded unpadded cup ... and then there's a crop top non-underwired colorful over part with a band as well.

The straps only just adjust short enough for me, unfortunately there is no racerback option. Lycra tends to stretch out in chlorine, but hopefully that won't be the case here.

The underwires are the perfect amount of firmness to me and don't bother me at all. The band is true to size and very comfortable. The gore tacks and is what I would call balconette height. Unfortunately, the top colorful crop top part doesn't stay put lower than the bra and curls up a little but but stays underneath the wires.

It's unbelievably comfortable and gives just the amount of support I want. Not sure how this would fair in larger sizes, but I imagine that it would end up too shallow and not supportive enough, though wearing this is water I'm sure would alleviate some of those issues.

I love how comfortable this bra is! It has become my daily bra. The material is supportive, and I like the lift that it gives me. The only bummer about this bra is the seaming. Although I like the support and shape the seams provide, they frequently show through clothing, which is a definite con for me.

    Fit:
Technically this bra doesn't fit properly (center gore not flat against my sternum, slight quadraboob on one side, some underarm tissue outside the cups). However, I'm not sure I wouldn't order it again in the same size. I don't think I could go down a band size (the first time I ran in this bra I could barely breathe) and I fear going up a cup size but keeping the same band just wouldn't give me the same support. Currently this encapsulation bra is giving me a combination of about 70% encapsulation and 30% compression, and that's great. I've been running much more since I got this bra- ... to minimize bounce with my previous sports bras I tended to keep my arms as close as possible to my body while running, which resulted in neck and shoulder pain. Now I can count on the bra to minimize bounce, so I move my arms freely.

    Other issues:
I wouldn't like this shape for everyday wear, but as a sports bra the shape is absolutely fine.
It doesn't feel too soaked in sweat when I take it off, and after I wash it it dries quickly.

Update: after ~2.5 months I needed to switch to the second hook and tighten the straps. In an average week I wear the bra for 1 running workout (consisting of 20-30 minutes actual running and the balance of the hour stretching or doing strength exercises), one individual run (~20 minutes), and 1 ballet class (~1 hour 15 minutes). (The first month and a half the ballet was replaced with a third run). Next time I'll probably go for a 30 band, and cut off the hooks and eyes from this one to sew an extender to get me through the first couple of workouts. Side note: during ballet I love watching my breasts in the mirror while I jump and seeing how amazingly still they stay!

Update- Another 3 months (5.5 total) and I'm on the third set of hooks&eyes. I'll update when I get to the fourth set.
