Think this is the most expensive bra I've ever bought... I was totally head over heels in LOVE with the appearance and waited for it to be (sort of) on sale. Still, as I hardly ever wear it, perhaps it wasn't worth the money https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />

The longline looks great, but the band flips up on me. As long as I'm standing it's mostly ok, but sitting down it immediately rolls and flips and digs. The band is a bit large but I can't get it to stay in place. Think my body shape does not easily agree with longlines? I have similar issues ... with Freya Flourish.. Taking in the band would only make it less comfy I'm afraid (causing digging into my tummy?). Read some other reviews of people trying to add boning - might try that as well, as this precious gem is too gorgeous to let go!

Definitely more of a special occasion bra than an every day bra.
As for size & fit, I'm around 30GG (Deco) and 30H. So I guess this runs regular-to-large the cup, while being shallow-ish and open on top. Best for FOT shapes.

This is a luxurious bra. The lace is a divine soft grey, and the orange satin fabric is jewel-like. Simply lovely. The bra works well for shallow spectrum. I only wish the wires were a little wider and longer, as I have a little tissue that escapes into my armpits if I wear this bra for a while. But over all not a bad fit.

This is the pistacchio colourway. I bought this bra in a sister size to 30F and altered the band down. I usually wear 28F (sometimes 28FF), but I already had a Bronte longline (spice/orange colourway) in 30F and it is a good fit (sometimes very minor center quading, other times not).
My boobs are shallow, wide + tall roots.

I got also matching brief size L. I usually wear M but M was not available. The L fits okay, ideally it should be a little tighter, but it is okay. M would´ve been better. The fabric is quite stretchy, so I guess I could´ve gone away with S even.

  4. My shape: slightly shallow teardrop/FOB with super wide/tall roots and very close-set tissue in the middle

This review is for the Silver colorway.

Of course! As soon as my gorgeous new [full-price] Bronte arrived from Figleaves, they posted a 50% off sale...

In spite of my annoyance, I am thrilled. I love my 32F - Fauve » Bronte Padded Longline Bra (0331) to bits and it is still one of the best fitting bras I have ever owned. The silver satin really shimmers in the light! I love longlines, too, and the beautiful embroidered lace around the edges and on the straps is characteristic of Fauve's attention to ... detail.

Vertical-seam half cups seem to be the best shape for me by far, and this is no exception. The cup is tall enough that I don't pop over the top, but short enough and open-on-top enough that nothing cuts into my tall roots. The padding is minimal and really only prevents show through, so there are no giant foam cookies pushing my boobs into weird shapes. It's super comfortable and the gore is high but somehow doesn't dig! YAY

I noticed a little bit of a gape at the top of the cup on my smaller breast in this one, which I don't recall having in the Spice colorway - that is, the cups on the Spice gape a teensy amount because it wasn't tailored to me personally, and obviously rather more when I hunch my shoulders because of how wide the straps are set, but this is a bit more. I also noticed that the bottom of the cup looks a tiny bit shallower than the Spice, but I'll have to double check next time I wear it. The straps also seem to be set a little bit wider.

Overall, it's very comfortable and while wearing it under clothes the differences in the colorways (if I'm not imagining them) is negligible. Still grumpy about my timing with regards to the half-off sale, but ecstatic about my pretty new Bronte. Love!

  5. I thinks the cups run small. I concider my size in Panache 28F or 28FF. Because Bronte doesn´t come in 28 bands, I ordered 30F, a sister size to 28FF.

The wires are really wide. They are a bit wider than I need but that is no problem actually. They are comfortable and it doesn´t show really, that they should be a bit narrower. I get some quadboobing, so cups are too small for me.

The band either runs small or then it is a longline thing, it feels tight enough for me definitely. I could not wear a 28 band in this bra! My tight underbust measurement is 26 ... inches.

The bra has boning in the sides and therefore it stays put quite well. Only the front lace at the bottom rolled over while wearing the bra. Some people have found Bronte longline painful to wear. I didn´t find it painful, but during the day I could feel the bra all the time. It gave me good posture and I held my back straight all day, one cannot hunch in this bra. When I took the bra off, there were red lines in my body. I don´t think it´s going to be a problem though, the red lines were not downright painful, more like uncomfortable.

    EDIT. 1.9.2014
The bra is really comfortable to wear. I did have overspill originally in the center of the cups, but that seems to have disappeared. So this bra fits, and is very comfortable + nice looking! https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

This bra is absolutely stunning. The pictures I took do not do it justice. The colour is vibrant, the detail gorgeous. It's honestly almost overdone, but I love it - the bows literally have bows on them. Ridiculous!

Unfortunately, it's a tad bit shallow for me. I quad-boob out a bit. I'm just going to call it cleavage, though, because I really can't bear to part with a bra this pretty.

The longline bit has two main spots of boning, which provides good support. The lace doesn't flip up much like some longlines have a tendency to (or at least, it doesn't on me).

Appearance: The orange of this bra isn't quite as bright as I thought it would be, and the light beige lace reduces the vibrancy further. There are two bows in the center, and the smaller one has two fake jewels glued to the ends of it which look horrible and are bound to fall off and stick to your shirt. It's completely at odds with the lace on the straps and near the hooks, which are designed to make the bra look luxurious. Still, it is a fairly nice looking bra, and I'd keep it if it fit me.

Construction: There are only two ... rows of hooks and eyes. The straps are half-adjustable. There were a lot of loose threads near the hooks. The wires are covered with a padded, soft-looking fabric which looks almost like felt.

Fit: The gore doesn't tack on me; I expect the wires are too soft. There is nothing to stop the lace on the bottom of the front under the gore from wrinkling up, and so wrinkle it did, almost immediately. The sides are braced with a bit of boning so they probably won't do the same. For some reason the band went up on my back quite obviously, although it did not feel loose and it is only slightly angled up.

This bra is great. It's stretchy, much like the Patsy longline, but the cups are narrower. Even though they don't make these in a 28 band, the 30 seems pretty snug so I'm satisfied with it. There are some parts that I was disappointed to find were made of plastic, but it doesn't really affect the look or elegance of the bra.
