    Didn't fit

    This bra fits small. It is the second of my bras ordered in 32FF but gotten in 30G and while the band runs about true to size, the cups are a cup too small. It is supposed to be stretch lace bra (and there is stretch lace https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />) but unfortunately the strong, tight elastic at the top of the cup completely negates that and it cuts in (rather extremely) into my soft tissue.

    The bra is *not* as full coverage as the model photos imply. In the photo it seems more tall and narrow (the cup), but in reality it is not nearly as tall (narrow it is).

    For me, the only good thing about this bra is the gorgeous slate colour.

    • It's a beautiful bra! Fantasie was my favorite brand for over a decade. Unfortunately they just don't work for me now.....sigh.

    • 1

      I'm extremely bummed all their bras seem to have the same fit and none seem to work for me.

    • Their bras are beautiful so I totally understand your disappointment.

    • Wow, that bra is indeed small! What a shame, because it is beautiful.

    • Wow, how beautiful! It’s a shame that it’s not a good fit.

    • I tried both Jacqueline Lace and the original Jacqueline (is it still made? I can go check) and found contrary to what I was being told by sales assistants, they really did NOT fit exactly the same. Only the original Jacqueline (which admittedly does not look as pretty or delicate) had a nice forgiving fit. I think Fantasie saw the success of that design (because it was so easy to fit on people) and then they decided to try and "improve" with wacky colors (Selina, I think was the name of that spinoff) and fancier materials etc. but some of the fit qualities were lost.

    • 1

      I think there's some of the old Jacquelines left in stock, but not many. I remember seeing it on Figleaves for sure.

      It is quite beautiful. Funny enough I would probably still wear that with all those little fit problems.
      It's so amazing to me how differently we all see things. When I look at this bra I see a very full coverage bra with quite a wide wire and you feel it is not full coverage at all and narrow.
      Post the measurements please!

    • 2

      I think the main fit problems cannot be seen in the photos due to the colour of the bra. I guess overall it just feels small when on.

      I am working through the bra measurements I have, this one is next, lol! Just got my measuring tape.

    • 1

      Oh, I totally feel you brasaremean I need to get a new measure tape as well. I believe I have a good 10 or so bra's to measure, picture, and review!

    Fits

    I love love love the slate color on this bra. It feels young and pretty and a step away from my blander bras. This bra has a lot of side support and pushes me forward in the way that I want. Only 2 hooks in the back which I thought I wouldn't like but it doesn't seem to be a problem.

    Didn't fit

    I purchased this bra new at Journelle.com. It fit really well and was very comfortable and supportive. The lace is thicker, so it is visible through thin or tight shirts. The navy blue is rich and vibrant, and the band is nice and firm. I can no longer fit into it after my breast reduction, unfortunately.

    Didn't fit

    Not going to go into a detailed review since there were a few basic fit problems, so it's hard to be comprehensive based on that.

    Before I retook my measurements, my snug underbust was closer to a 29". That meant I could get away with a tight 30 band or stretchier 28 band. After recently remeasuring, I've found I am now closer to a true 28 band, so 30's won't work. Compared other other 30 bands I've tried, this bra had a REALLY stretchy band. I could hook it on the tightest hook with no issue and even then, it didn't seem tight enough.

    While swooping and scooping, I felt ... that the cups were almost too small. I fit 28F / 30E UK cups perfectly and here, I felt like I was getting quad boob. Since the band was too loose, I could definitely feel my breasts pushing the cups out and away from my body--the center gore looked almost flat, but not quite.

    Since it was hard to get all my breast tissue into the cup, I couldn't really evaluate any other parts of fit (width, projection, etc.).

    Band:
    * length: back rides up
    * wings: height good
    * axillary skin spillage

    Comfort & Fit Summary
    * Band too big, cups too small.
    * Tried because the cups of the 32E were too small. Cups are still too narrow.
    * Consider trying 30F, but measurements suggest cups will be too narrow and band tight. However, Fantasie wires are stretchy, so might work.

    I can't begin to figure out why this was so wrong! It's super shallow and wouldn't stay in my IMF. I had empty fabric on the sides yet it seemed to pull my breasts apart. The cone shape was so severe I could be mistaken for a mountain range! It was just seriously bad for me. Even though I kept it on for less than a minute, the fabric and quality seemed nice. I love the lace. On the right shape (upper fullness!) it would be gorgeous.
