This bra made quite a journey to get to me: it was shipped from Poland to be stocked at Zathiya in the U.S., then I ordered it to be sent back overseas to the Netherlands.. Add stupid custom fees and you get the picture; I paid way too much for this bra
Let's forget about that, because I'm so in love with the print & total look of this bra Colors, flowers, neon lace.. It's like a fairy floral funfair explosion! Very 'kitsch', which I adore <3
The fit is ...pretty good, considering I didn't know my EM size. If available I would have gone for 70GG - but that was completely sold out. Luckily some nice Bratabaser had added the measurements for this 70H, they seemed within my margins so I went for it.. And it turned out pretty well, it looks and feels good I think!
Perhaps the cups are sliiightly too deep; my smaller breast has some gapping on top. Nothing major, but I personally prefer slightly small over slightly large bras (and I think EM bras are generally meant to be more of a 'compressed' fit in the cup?)
Cup width seems good, confirms my idea of needing narrower wires than Panache / Curvy Kate etc. (even if wider wires are not actually uncomfortable for me, so I'm not replacing my entire bra collection ) Funnily the gore is fine: I don't like high gores and the S style was said to have a raised gore, so I worried about that. But it's no problem at all!
Biggest issue is the straps being too wide set: no surprise because I had heard this could be an issue on EM bras. We'll see how it goes with daily wear, maybe I'll change the strap position. All in all size-wise, the 70GG would have been perfect I think. But this 70H is totally wearable and I'm very happy to have it!
Some minor nit-picking issues: I'm kind of a sucker for symmetry and this floral print is pretty different on the right versus left cup. Ewa does mention this when using printed fabric and it's completely understandable. Still I would have loved a bit more 'balance'. Next about the bright pink lace: that's not a perfect match to the fabric (as other reviewers have mentioned) but I think it's still fun looking. However, the lace is stitched over the outer edge of the white inner cup. So this white 'cup lining' is visible through the lace, which seems vaguely sloppy to me?
Lastly, I ordered both briefs and thong and they're very comfy + stretchy. My hips + bum need a large (UK 14 / EU 42-L) in briefs, and I usually tend to size up in thongs (e.g. in Curvy Kates I mostly get size 16). This thong was M / 40 - last size and I really wanted it - but BTB member Tanzi reassured me that they ran large. Aisha at the webshop confirmed this and it really fits! Size is in fact similar to the briefs which I got in a larger size, 42.
So in short: Love the set, both bra and briefs/thong are great. Symmetry of the print could be better and I have some very minor fit issues. I'll probably order my next Ewa S style (yes Kicia, I mean YOU!) in a 70GG. But all in all, my first EM is a success! Read more 482 more words
I have been not so patiently waiting for this one. There is a story behind it, But I will keep it short. EM no longer had my size. I was googling this bra one night and came across an online store, Zathiya, and they had Kwiaty! I put my size in the cart, and fell asleep. Bad idea. When I went to purchase it the next morning, it was gone. I emailed the owner, Aisha, and asked if she still had my size, hoping it was a mistake. It wasn't. Kwiaty was gone. I asked her if she would be getting any additional sizes in. She emailed ...EM, they told her they would send it, and all was good in the world. The next day, Aisha emailed, apologizing profusely that EM had contacted her and changed their minds about sending this out to her. A side note about Aisha, If you have not had the pleasure of doing business with her, give her a shot. She is amazingly helpful, sweet, and wants to make you happy. She carries some Comexim, some EM, and some UK brands. If you are looking for something specific, ask her and she will do her best to get it for you. The more orders she gets, the more she will carry. Tell her Tanzi sent you I fell into a slight depression about THE ONE that got away. Then my sweet friend Treschic81 found my sister size on the Zathiya site, and that was it. I emailed Aisha, ordered the 75H Kwiaty and the matching thong in 2 sizes to big (didn't know they would be that big at the time). This is my favorite EM set so far. I have quite a few more coming, but this one is going to be hard to beat. I don't even care that the undies are too big. The material is so soft and perfect, I will probably take them to a seamstress to have them altered just a bit. Read more 235 more words
This bra is a perfect fit! The band is perfect, the cups are perfect, the wires are the perfect width, and the straps are even a bit more wide than normal, which I love. Aesthetically, the bra is beautiful, and the bright blue really is fantastic for Spring. However, I will say, especially when paired with the undies, the print is a LOT to take in visually. It's super busy, and even more so in person. It's not off putting, but it's much busier than any other bras I've worn.
The materials are silky smooth and are super soft to the touch. I love that EM seems to be incorporating more smooth and seamless materials in their bras. My only complaint is that the neon lace at the top of the cups doesn't quite go with any of the pinks on the bra. But that's a small quibble, and I have no complaints otherwise.
This is my absolute favourite bra to date, and it'll probably stay that way for a while as it's going to be hard to beat. Anyone whose owned one of these knows what I'm talking about. I can't think of a single thing I would change about it, I lucked out that it fits, and better yet I now know my official EM size. My first time trying a 60 band and it is perfectly firm, I've come to find I really prefer tighter bands, so I won't be ordering 65's again. The colours are beautifully vibrant, I feel happy the moment I put it on. Quality and comfort are excellent. LOVE!
Please excuse the fact that this bra is not sitting all the way in my IMF in the pictures... I was so excited to pull it out of the box and try it on for the first time that I clearly got a little too hasty! Comparable in fit to my other 30G Ewa S bras. The brilliant turquoise straps, neon pink lace, vibrant floral print and tiny rhinestone charm are just a fabulous combo. I'm not usually one for tremendously bright colors, but Kwiaty is different from anything I've seen before and unlike anything I already own. I love seeing this bra in my drawer and having the thrill of wearing it beneath otherwise understated clothing. It's totally deserved of all the hype and praise that seems to be associated with it! The matching brief is quite stretchy; it fits well in a 36 whereas I usually take a 38, and good thing-- because it was the only size left I could find. SO pleased with this set.
I really like these riotously summery prints Ewa comes up with. I'm normally not a big fan of turquoise, but unexpectedly, it works with my skin tone - at least in a lively print like this.
As to the general statistics, this is a very typical Effuniak S-style, great shape, excellent support and very comfortable. The band is a bit on the tight side and definitely sturdy (no stretching and I've had this for a year in regular use). Also, a true 32/70 J in size.
So I've been dying for this bra ever since I saw it. The pattern is super cute. When I saw one listed here, I had to snag it even though it's a cup size too big. Figured I could just pad it if I needed to. Well thankfully, this works perfect as a "my boobs are swollen thanks to my period" bra. No gaping, though I'll have to see when I'm off of my monthly cycle.
I put this bra through my work test, like I do all my bras, and it failed for the same reason every S cut will end up failing it, my close set ...breasts! I wasn't sure if lack of projection was causing my soft tack or if I was in a slightly too small cup. Well it's apparent it's just too high of a gore to properly tack for me. Which is distressing, because I also have center full breasts so a plunge bra or one with a lowered gore, won't keep me contained through a day of bending and twisting.
Otherwise this is a great bra. Super comfy, cute design, light staining from the previous owner, but that's all aesthetics (plus it's on the inside of the band so NBD). I could feel my boobs just under my chin all day at work, so I know that they're staying right where they should. It's just unfortunate that the gore won't tack for me. I've been doing a fix of rolling up some toilet paper or paper towels and putting it at the bottom of the gore. It still digs in, but this prevents it from cutting me (like my grenatowa did).
Since I'm marking this as a bra adventure, if anyone has the matching panties in a 36-38 that they'd be willing to part with, I'd love you forever Read more 202 more words
I wanted this bra for so so long. I dreamed about it. I knew I missed it. Then I found it here on the listings and knew it was meant to be. Unfortunately, this bra doesn't love me back. The cups are too wideset, the straps are too wideset, the band is too big, the cups are too big (and tall). Overall, it just doesn't work for me and sadly must be listed The fabric is incredibly soft and the band is true to size (which means if you normally size up in EM bands you don't need to on this one). The cups run bigger than my Kamea, and are definitely taller and slightly wider.
Stunning bra with vibrant spring colors. Excellent quality lift and shape from Ewa Michalak. My favorite bra I wish I could find it in a larger cup size, unfortunately it sold out so fast and is no longer available.
