    Used to fit

    I don't like this bra.

Really, there's nothing wrong with it. It's beautiful and it's comfortable. On paper it fits. On my body it does not.

The band is a perfect 65. Perfect for me is roughly 29" and that's what I get here.
The straps are great, they have that triangular piece of fabric that the SMs have. So the support and upfrontness is awesome. They're comfortable and hold the adjusters well.
Obviously it's something to look at.
My problem is the cups. Too small? Maybe. Too little space in the bottom? Maybe. Either way, they don't fit.
There's not enough room in the bottom for my tissue to sit, so the wires ... get pushed down and sit on my ribs. It doesn't hurt, but I don't like it.
I also get a sort of minimized flattened appearance from this bra. Looking at the HM on other people, it looks like that's the intended shape, but I don't like it on me. I'm very much a fan of the green shape on myself and that's what I want from a soft bra.
I can deal with it for the pattern, but I'll not buy another HM. If I get the Summertime in an SM shape, I'll probably sell this one on.

Bottoms in a 36 fit as expected (38" wide hip/31" hip bone).

    • Interesting, thats the kind of fit problems I have with my SM Fiolecik. But I only own 2 EMs so I thought maybe it just fits like that in my size.

    • I wonder what it is. In my case I don't think it's the size, you can see how open on top it is already. Likely a shape mismatch. I think someone less projected would do better in this cut.
But that's weird about your SM since that's basically for soft and projected breasts.

    • I really want to try an S, but everyone says to go up a cup size. Supposedly they are rounder than the SM in my size range.

The S cuts are okay. They're a bit more coverage than I prefer. I have to use the pads in mine or I get a fair amount of gaping.
Ideally I'd like an E cup in the S, but she doesn't make them. They are really nice for soft tissue though.

You and I are on different ends of the spectrum though and I do see "size up" recommended often for the PL and S cuts.

    • haha yes, i like coverage!
