After my success with having my local boutique order me a 75J - » Bm MalachitEwa Michalak , I enlisted them to help me acquire an green Ewa Michalak bra. Due to a mixup somewhere, the boutique received a 70J instead of a 75J. Luckily, this bra has stretch lace cups like my 75J - Ewa Michalak » Bm Koronkowa , so with an extender (gifted by the boutique), the fit was a bit more forgiving than the tulle-lined styles I own. The gore didn't quite tack, but that holds true for all my 75J EM bras except for the BM Koronkowa. I think I might try getting a 70JJ the next time I order an EM bra, since I only needed the 2nd of 4 sets of hooks on the extender.
This a beautiful set. I personally wouldn’t call this an emerald green, but rather a forest green. It’s deeper and more muted than an emerald color. But, it’s gorgeous nonetheless. The lower cup is a two part cut with a black non stretch mesh with a green lace overlay. The upper cup is a black layer of stretch mesh with green lace over top. The edge of this lace is very pretty! It has a scalloped edge that gives a subtle contrast with a hint of sheen. The center gore has a little magenta bow on it. The back band is a black stretch mesh with the same ...green lace overlay. The lower edge of the band has the same scalloped edge detail as the upper bra cup. The straps are a matching green elastic with a sheen to it. All hardware is black on the straps with the 3x4 hook closures being green.
High waisted briefs, size 38: This is one of my favorite panty cuts she offers. The front panel is a green fabric with a fine black mesh overlay. The hip panels are made using the green lace with scalloped edge giving an elision of a high cut panty with a black stretch mesh under layer that fits like a brief. There is a green satin ribbon that runs up where the front panel meets the hip lace. At the bottom of the ribbon there are little magenta bows at the leg opening. The green scallop lace on the back panel is made using two piece over black stretch mesh. The crotch is had a cotton gusset.
Over all this set us lovely and the subtle detail is eye catching. Read more 174 more words
For reference: I am relatively close set, with narrow breast roots and tissue that is evenly full horizontally, but very full on bottom vertically; I am average with chest placement height-wis, and have moderate to a bit more than average projection, with soft tissue. My best fits are the Comexim Spring in 70J with the wires overlapped, and the Ewa Michalak Black BM Bibi Tulipan in 75FF (worth mentioning I purchased the BM Bibi Tulipan pre-owned, so I don't know how stretched out it was/wasn't when I received it.)
The BM Emerald in 75FF fits much too tight in the band, even though I can fasten it behind my ...back. I noticed that the wires spring back too far. I will have to get an extender to wear it and not warp the wires. My larger breast fills the cup pretty well, with only the smallest amount of space on my smaller side at the top inner portion of the cup. I get wrinkling at the inner area of the wire, but I suspect a lot of this is due to the wires springing too far backwards because the band is too small. I will make an update to my review once I try it on with an extender, as to whether or not the wrinkling is resolved. The wires are a bit wide on the upper outside area, but are not uncomfortable at all and don't come up too high. The lower outside area is a good fit in width. The gore tacks beautifully and fits very comfortably against my sternum, and is also narrow/low enough to not cut into my inner tissue, which tends to be one of the areas I struggle with in bras. The straps fit comfortably, but it is worth mentioning that I am roughly 5'9"(174 cm) tall, so even though I have narrow shoulders for my height, the straps on this bra are not too narrow for me. I can adjust them enough and have a little bit more adjustment room to spare if I wanted to open the straps all the way up.
This bra is absolutely stunning in person and the color does not photograph well enough to do it justice, though I think Ewa's images seem to have pretty good color accuracy for it. The lace is pretty, I love the fuschia bow contrast as well and it pairs well with the jewel-tone theme of the overall bra. It feels very well constructed in a 3-part, sewn, soft cup, and seems of high quality. It has decent give/stretch to the cups without feeling like it's stretching too much and not supportive. The wires are firm, but not uncomfortable.
TLDR: Pros: -High quality -Beautiful colors and fabrication -Good shape match for my needs overall
Cons: -Inconsistently sized as band ran very small even for Ewa Michalak -Will need an extender to wear it at my current weight if I don't want to overstretch the wires Read more 375 more words
Love the scalloped lace on the cup edge! Looks lovely on you.
Awesome that they gave you an extender. Sounds like an awesome store! And that Bm Emerald looks great on you. Do the sides of the cups feel shorter than similarly sized Bms to you?
