I'm generally not a fan of black bras--I find them incredibly boring. I want to say Czarny Tulipan needs huge big pink bows or something, but I guess that would take away from its simplicity (still I'm considering sewing a huge big pink bow on it...)
It's a very elegant, comfortable bra in the Bibi line of half-lace BMs. Half lace BMs are my summer perfection. I've been looking at the bras I bought and I'm thinking, this is all fine because it's winter right now, but what happens in the summer? Cause bulky lacy bras seem to not be very optimal for the heat we get here (35+ ...C in July). But the half lace BMs actually are just a single layer of satiny material and some stretch lace on top. Perfect.
However, because of that, they might not be a good fit to some. Full lace BMs have another layer of mesh under the lace to sort of give some shape to the breast, and then on top of it, additional shaping is provided by the lace. For a non padded bra, it's a fair amount of structure. With half-lace BMs, that element is gone. I think most really bad fits with BMs I've seen have been with the half-lace BMs exactly.
But anyway. This bra is essentially the same as my 70G - Ewa Michalak » Bm Bibi Beżowa Perła (533), however, it runs smaller in the cup (and it shows). On my larger side in the photos you can clearly see where the seam cuts in. It's nothing special, no big deal, but a thing to note. From experience, this will stretch out and fit a little better after some wear. It's how it was with Bezowa Perla as well. The wires are wire perfection. I wonder if the reason this and Fuksja run small in the cup is because of the black dye... it makes the fabrics less stretchy or something. I think that would make sense. Kaska said she has no idea why they run smaller in the cup, just that they do.
And yes, I do have a Fuksja in the same size on the way... Read more 251 more words
I am a fairly even and very projected breast shape. I have average-to-narrow roots with a slight omega shape. My best fitting bra is a Cleo Lily in 28GG, though I think a 30G would be more comfortable in terms of band length.
This bra is good for someone with average-narrow width, a projected shape, and some upper fullness.
I think this bra might be the death of my bank account - I like it a lot! It's a very, very tiny bit wide for me, so I'm doubly interested in other EM bras that have her normal width. This is the first EM bra I've tried. I don't ...necessarily feel like I get the cakes-on-a-plate look she's famous for, however, but then this is one of her balconette bras rather than a plunge or half-cup.
The band is nice and snug, comfortable without being tight or constricting. Do note that I tend to prefer a very snug band, however, so YMMV. I am especially pleased by the three hooks, rather than just two, in the band.
The bra has nice, stretchy lace on top - I suspect it could accommodate for slightly more wiggle-room where upper fullness is concerned than some bras. The cup fabric itself is silky and smooth to the touch - it's very comfortable and doesn't chafe even a little. The peal and bow detail in the center adds a little extra elegance to the classic design. I would also go so far as to say the pictures uploaded don't really do it justice - I was a little worried about it feeling "plain" when I purchased it from another bratabase user, but I don't feel that way at all now that it's in my possession. It has a "less is more" sort of feel to the design. Read more 193 more words
Soft-boobed fans of Ewa Michalak rejoice! Finally a bra where I don't ooze out the middle! I love this bra. Absolutely love it. It contains my super soft tissue beautifully while maintaining the round shape we all know and love from EM.
The bra is made of super thin, stretchy silky material with stretchy lace on the upper 1/4 of the cup. It has a small jewel and bow on the center gore. The lace definitely accommodates asymmetry and would be an excellent bra for monthly swelling due to hormones. It is more full coverage than the SM style. It looks like the band runs a tad big ...and is very stretchy, so be warned.
The only bad thing I noticed when wearing it is sometimes there's a barely noticeable bulge under my shirt where the bottom section of the cup meets the stretchy lace. The lace has way more give than the bottom fabric so it doesn't hold me in quite as tight. This causes the outline of the cup to be not a perfectly smooth arc under tighter shirts. This should only be an issue for people with water boobs like me.
I hope Ewa continues this line of bras in more colors in the upcoming seasons. I'm so happy to finally have an unpadded bra that I feel secure in. Read more 116 more words
I can't decide if I want to keep this bra or not! I did remove the tag, so I can't exactly send it back, but I have yet to wear it all day. I keep waffling about it, which makes me think I should probably just try to sell this and buy a bra I am more excited about! Anyways, this was one of my Black Friday purchases. I have the beige color of this type of bra, and I don't wear it very much because I am NOT a fan of beige, and I don't like the fit of the half lace BMs as well as the full lace. This black Bibi feels tighter all around, which I know is typical of black bras.
Bibi Czarny Tulipan is a half lace, unpadded full coverage bra. It has 4 sections to the cup, 2 lower vertical ones, an upper horizontal, and an outer wedge section that connects the straps to the cup. As with all the BMs, the upper lace section is always stretch lace.
The band measures 23” and stretches to 30”. It has 3 hooks and 4 rows of eye loops.
Cup Depth as measured by: 1 Hovering the cup between the knees, then placing the tape measure into the cups without any resistance. This measurement is: 12.25”
2 Placing the cup over the knee and stretching ...it similar to what a breast would, to the maximum resistance. This measurement is: 15.25”
I feel these two figures give you a general idea of the minimum and maximum depth that the cup can accommodate, just like the flat and stretched band measurements do with bands. Since Bratabase only has one cup field, I enter the larger of the two, as it’s this larger number that determines if a cup is going to fit me or not since I am on the max end of the cup scale, but do realize that some may need the lower number to determine fit for their needs, so I will always include both figures in the reviews for full disclosure.
This bra is my bra bliss. It fits perfectly, is completely comfortable, and feels supportive all while feeling like I’m not wearing a bra at all. I have also tried two other half lace BMs, both of which are also perfection in bra form. While I really like the full lace BMs and the SFs, comfort and fit wise, the Half Lace BMs are far better. My only complaint with the Half Lace BMs is that Ewa doesn’t make more variety of them. Currently you have this one (Black), Bianka (White), Fuksja (Black w Purple), Scarlet (Red), and Bezowa Perla (Beige). I really wish we’d see some bright and bold colors in the Half Lace style. Give me Green, Blue, Purple please!!!
The best fitting bra I own at the moment. Perfect for everyday wear and is seamless under most fabrics. Material is soft to the body. @Ewa Michalak BM style suits my body best. All of her designs are perfect for narrow rooted and projected breasts. The only downside is the band is too big. I'll definitely repurchase this bra, but in a 60HH.
I heard that BM is similar to the Panache Envy Balconnet Bra (7285) so when one became available in a bra group I snatched it up to try. Bonus it was black, since I had shrunk too much for my black Envy to support me anymore.
It's a bit more narrow than envy, but the overall shape given is pretty much the same. Support too is comparable, but stretchier than Envy, especially initially. It's satin smoothe, and almost invisible under shirts. Would happily buy another BM given the right color/pattern came up.
