Wooo finally a brand new bra with a band that fits my stupid ribs perfectly on the first hook! Pretty much everything that 'fits' starts on the last hook and still need be taken in. Have finally came to accept my other Antonina is way too small to cram myself into anymore & ordered this a size up (arrived not a second too soon thanks to Levana for their *very* swift and ... professional service)

Woe betides all 28 backs who desire a bit of breathing room, you should definitely +2 for this one.

Joy to the few of us, who even with spare fluff really don't have enough mass to fill out & hold down out a normal 28" band. Not all 60's run this tight.

So back to this bra. 60HH BM Antonina feels 1" taller in the upper cup (band) when compared other sister- sized BMs with modified backs. Being of tall upper base but not an upper full breast, this is a less quad-prone shape than lower (narrower) BM cup sizes I've tried.
Cup depth runs from 11.5 to a bit over 12" deep with mechanical ease in the duoplex lining; upper cup ranges from 8" to 9" wide with it's pretty stretch lace over lightweight beige stretch mesh. Band from wing out are 4" long apiece, cups and frame comprise 13" of the band width.
No issues here currently with strap shifting or cut too short as seems often the case in GG+ sizing at this end of the band range.
Straps length is 14" with a taut hold but gives another inch to accommodate my idiot tall/wide/thin shoulders.
Band adjusts between 4 sets of hook & eye- made from a 2" tall felt strip with sets of 3 hooks per setting. Materials and findings seem to be the same weight and gauge typical for HH cups in median band sizes such as 75/34".

It's good 'to be home again' after fussing between discontinued bravissimos, ck's, cleos & feelingly weirdly flattened in gorsenia. Certainly don't mean to complain but gods why can't there be a BM/SF hybrid with the center 'room boost' panel from SF and the absolutely nuts wire depth of the BM?

    Didn't fit

My shape is low set, soft, slightly centre full with short and narrow roots. I think I am slightly conical too, since most unlined bras give me a bit of a bullet shape!

Keep in mind I only tried this bra on for like 5-10 minutes before doing this review. The fit isn't amazing on me, so I think I may re-sell this one.

This bra is gorgeous, with its cream and beiges. The beige is almost golden and it's slighty shiny. There are little bows on the straps, and one on the gore - along with a little jewel. The lace covers the entire bra including the band ... around to the clasps. The band fits snug but not tight on my 28" ribcage. It measured just shy of 29" before the wires started to distort. Just about right for me. The wires are narrow, but the wings seemed a bit short for me, and I had a bit of side boob escaping. I'm not sure if it's because the cups are just slightly too small or what? I also felt like my breasts weren't securely contained in the centre and top. The upper part of the cups are lace and just a loose lining of mesh, and I think the upper section cut off half way over my nipple, so I felt like I was going to pop out of the top of the cup (or like it may slip down). The support is actually quite good for an unlined bra. I think if it were slightly bigger, I would feel very contained and secure. The straps are wide set, but I have a fairly wide frame, so they are not too bad for me. I could feel a little pressure against my tail of spence, so not sure if that would cause some chaffing during a whole day's wear.

The shape is nice, albeit a bit more natural looking. If I let the straps out to a comfortably loose length, I definately got more pointy than I prefered, but that's just my natural shape, so can't do much about that. It wasn't as rounded as say... Cleo Marcie... but not as pointy as some other unlined bras I've tried. If I tightened the straps up a bit, the shape got rounder.

I can't quite tell if the bottom of the cups had enough projection for me. I only tried it on, but I kept expecting the bottom of the cup to wrinkle (it didn't. Not sure if that would have changed with a whole day wear).

Overall, the quality is excellent, the appearance is stellar, and the comfort is good. I'd keep it if I felt like it fit properly, but I it feels just a bit off to me.

Looking at these photos, I would say you look kinda squished for the most part. If you get a chance, you should try a cup size up.

With that said, you and I are very similar in shape and I have the same issue (in the right size) with the upper lace just sort of feeling less secure. I have been in denial about why, thinking it's just too big, but I think I just lack that top fullness in order for it to feel secure. Just can't fill it out. So if you're FOB like me, maybe that's all there is to it!

    • 1

Looks a bit small to me, they're normally more full coverage than this.

    • 1

Looks a little small to me too. Gorgeous bra though and looks great against your skin. I love that the lace goes all around the band.

    • 1

brasaremean and Sovavosi I was thinking it might be too small. I'm always in between sizes in EM though... with the bigger size gaping and the smaller size puffing. It's so frustrating. I'd love to try a La Gloria in a 65FF if I ever get the chance (or one of the older Szmaragds).

    • 1

Thanks AprilGoulding . I was dissapointed it didn't fit better. If I ever see a bratabase listing in 65FF I may try it out.

    • 1

Wilderness1 I'm sorry that this bra didn't work out for you. It is truly gorgeous.

    • 1

Agreed with everything above. Gorgeous but a bit small.

    • 1

Calluna it's a let down... I was hoping it would be magically perfect.

    • 1

As beautiful as the bra is Wilderness1, it should be a magical fit. Hopefully you can sell this one quickly and be able to reorder in a larger cup. : -)

    Hasn't set fit

Purchased this for my mom so I can't speak to the fit. I have 5 or 6 Antonina products now (I'm obsessed) and I had to get my mom a set as well. The construction and materials are the usual excellent Ewa Michalak quality and precision.

    Fits

This Antonina is in the Ewa Michalak BM style, which is unpadded, wired, and full-coverage. It is made of a white lace outer with medium beige mesh fabric on the inside. The gore is only beige mesh so it looks like there is a cut-out between the cups which I really love. The colorway feels like a good everyday style- not completely boring but not super fussy or decorative.

The wires were narrow and fit my shape very well! The gore sits nice and flat against my chest wall, but tiny bit on the vertical side closest to my breast. It doesn't lift up, it just...tilts a little ... so the tiny bow in the middle also tilts a bit. This would not be a deal-breaker to me at all. The profile shape was natural-looking but more uplifted and rounded. The lace wasn't too obvious through a t-shirt and I would feel comfortable wearing this to work under most tops.

The cups were a little too tall. One cup was definitely a bit baggy on the upper part. The bottom of the cups have a bit of wrinkling. The straps are set just a hair wider than I like; however, the straps stayed in place 99% of the day. (Literally the only time I adjusted was after lifting up my child. Normally I am adjusting straps throughout the day!) It was comfortable to wear; I wore it from morning until about 9:00 PM in the evening. The 'indents' after removing were almost exactly lined up with my IMF; the outer length of wire could be a bit more narrow to be perfect but it did not poke or bother my underarms.

I am keeping this one instead of the BM Kleks based mainly on the more "practical" color of the BM Antonina. This is definitely the first white-or-mostly-white bra that I have ever liked - normally white feels frumpy to me but I think the blend of lace with "nude" mesh gives it more visual interest.

I love this bra! The look is incredible -- I love the soft white lace against the beige lining (close enough to my pale-olive complexion to be invisible under clothes, although the beige itself pulls very warm on me). After my experience with SMs, I was not expecting the cups to be lined, but it doesn't make the bra bulky enough to bug me! What drew me most to this bra is the GORGEOUS see-through tulle portion on the gore -- such a simple design choice, but incredibly striking!!

I'd heard from somewhere that BMs run a little bit big in the cup (or that they are taller/fuller coverage, ... something to that effect) -- I have an SM in 65F that I adore. I spent a few weeks hemming and hawing about whether I should stick to 65F or size down in the cups and get a 65E. I'm really glad I went with the 65E! My breasts are pendulous, short-rooted, and FOB to boot, and I thought a 65F would be just a touch too tall. The 65E is the perfect height and is big enough to fit my 28F bust.

My only problem with the bra is that the 65 is a little bit too loose. I think next time I order from Ewa Michalak, I'll be sister-sizing down to a 60F. The 65 band works well enough for me to keep, wear, and love this bra, but I had to start on the second of four hooks... the band *does* only stretch to 29 inches, making it probably too snug for a true 30 band, but I'm a fan of ///snug/// 28s.

(In this same order I also purchased the BM Deser Nugatowy -- I've posted essentially this same review under that listing, because both of these BMs are super consistent!)

So I got this one purpely to try sizing because I got a BM Lazur Lace in 75F and the fit wasnt great, but now I'm kinda in love with this. The band feels great, I feel like my boobs look nice and supported in clothes. The style is more full coverage than my preference but it feels amazing. The white lace over the nude is super cute and girly sexy. I have some slight wrinkling on the top panel on both sides (you can see it in the side view), but making the straps a tad tighter might help. I also ordered an 80DD and it does the same thing even though the wires are too narrow and sitting on breast tissue. The gore in this is still on the high/wide side and does not just a bit on my breast tissue, but it's not uncomfortable so I feel ok sacrificing that for the rest of the fit. I'm thinking I'm keeping this one and I finally have a decent bra!

Cups were WAYYYY too tall. Pair that with the 16.6' depth? Comical. Band was okay, but ran bigger than a true 28 I think. I love Antonina but this was a fit fail for me.

I think I know why she is making them so tall. She thinks the bra should be stuffed like this.

      https://www.instagram.com/p/BweJmLkBUFN/

    • Oof. I think she forgets that not everyone has tall roots :/

    • 3

Haha! I saw that this morning and had to fight the urge to add a comment to it pointing out she is getting no support! Her breasts are hanging below the band level, so how on earth is that considered a good fit?!? Ridiculous and what I'd call a back breaker. Good thing she's wearing a corset for actual support.

So much for the lifted gravity defying fit of the original Antonina!

    • 1

Right.. I'm not certain if that's even comfortable. Doesn't look like it to me at least D:

    • 2

That bra is too small for her. I more meant that you are supposed to size down until the top of your breast is mushrooming out of the top. I can do that with my 60J S, but it’s more of a “goddamn that hurts” than “ooh sexy”.

    • 2

I agree DerangedDragons19. Painful really. And with that much overhang on the cups, you know the wire below the breasts is digging into the ribs by default. Ouch.....

    • 1

Sovavosi yeah, I agree. Size down in the cup is what Ewa suggests for the more rounded look but that one is beyond ridiculous. 😬
And sizing down to the point of compression and wire pains is not fun at all..... I get a better look with the 60KK but damn they are painful. 😖

    • 1

      Photos up!

    • This one doesn't look bad either! 💙

    • 1

I actually kinda thought that too. The wrinkling bothers me though :/

    • 1

If it's comfortable, who cares? It can easily be hidden under clothing so no one would know, and you'd get some use out of it instead of losing out. I say wear it and wear it proudly!

    • 1

May as well 😂 I'll have to give it a go :)

    • 1

That IG photo is ridiculous. Her breasts are just laying there. Not uplifted and supported. WTH

    • Exactly Calluna! If that's the look and support Ewa is promoting, I think I'll pass.

    • The wrinkling in this doesn't look that bad to me... but all of my BMs are wrinkly at this point 🙃

    • 1

Yea the issue with EM bras seems to be that in order to fill out the bottom nicely (and comfortably) you just have to deal with the empty top... my 70Gs are still my most comfy bras but all three of them are flappy loose at the top and it's really annoying. I'd deal if the band wasn't also loose and 65GG is no sister size and is a completely different fit...

    • Only with the BMs right now. My SFs are about 1.5” shorter.

    • 1

      oh, I'm so sorry ...🙁

    Didn't fit

Just a mini review! This one is a bra swap, I sent my Antonina 60K to Sovavosi, who in turn sent me hers. Mine works better for her since it was a shorter cup, and hers will work better for me (since I need a taller cup) if I happen to lose breast mass. Win Win situation.

    Additional information for measurements:
    Cup Depth as measured by:
1 Hovering the cup between the knees, then placing the tape measure into the cups without any resistance.
    This measurement is: 12.5”
2 Placing the cup over the knee and stretching it similar to what a breast would, to the maximum resistance.
    ... This measurement is: 16”

I feel these two figures give you a general idea of the minimum and maximum depth that the cup can accommodate, just like the flat and stretched band measurements do with bands. Since Bratabase only has one cup field, I enter the larger of the two, as it’s this larger number that determines if a cup is going to fit me or not since I am on the max end of the cup scale, but do realize that some may need the lower number to determine fit for their needs, so I will always include both figures in the reviews for full disclosure.

    • I love Antonina. So much that I'm thinking about selling my 65FF and re-ordering in 65G.

It is a nice one-my favorite light colored bra. I love the tan accents, it adds so much elegance to it. 😍

I have this one in 3 sizes, haha. Too small, bit too small, & a bit too big. 😄 I even considered getting it in the next size up just in case of future swell and growth, but that might be overkill.....

MamaPagan I felt guilty for having such an obsession...until I met you lol
You're my "a bra for every day of the month" bosom friend pun intended ;)

    Fits

Love, love, love how this looks on! White-ivory lace over a darker beige main fabric. Fit is perfect with an extender - without, it fastens, but just barely. On a "skinny" day, the cups still fit well - narrow, deep, and great projection at the wire - but if my weight fluctuates even a little bit upward, the band becomes unwearably tight, pulls the wires a little too wide and therefore results in the cups being a little too shallow while cutting in a little on my bigger boob. I think 75F might have been a better fit, but it was out of stock at Levana in this ... style when I ordered so here we are. I love how it looks so much that I'm willing to work with it a little - I'll try it out with an extender for a little while and see how it goes. I'm still losing weight so it may be a better fit, or stretch out in the band soon (hopefully slowly with an extender).

Since transitioning to mostly bralettes for the past couple of years (COVID/lockdown/WFH, weight gain and a little loss), it turns out that alllll of my old underwired collection is either too small or I just can't be bothered to compromise anymore on their various fit and/or shape mismatch issues. So, I'm starting the search for underwired bras that fit all over again - which specifically means finally narrowing down which Ewa Michalak sizes/cuts work best for me. So far, it's looking pretty simple: BM...and...that's it (well, also CHP if it's an in-your-face with my boobs kinda day, and if I can find any in 75F in literally any style). It's so frustrating having to send back so many things that don't fit, but I'm reminding myself it's worth being choosier so that history doesn't repeat itself and I wind up with 30 (!!) bras that don't fit again. (Seriously. I listed 30 bras on here after cleaning out my closet.) So I'm crossing my fingers that this one pans out! If not, my loss will be your gain, and it will join the rest of the listing bunch!
