My first experience with Empreinte and I'm so impressed! I got this from VioletIridescence. It's a gorgeous bra with a lot of added details and beautiful shades of purple. It's a moulded bra so I did not expect a perfect fit, but it's the best moulded bra I have tried to date. I need a narrow cup, fairly short cup, immediate projection, and a low gore and this bra checks all those boxes! There's gapping at the top of the cup when I move because it's moulded and I don't have a lot of upper fullness, but it fits very well otherwise. I tried some jumping jacks and jiggling and although there was gapping, I still felt contained and supported so I don't mind gapping if I don't have to worry about anything accidentally popping out. I'm very impressed with this moulded bra.

Me: Narrow roots, narrow shoulders, evenly round, lots of immediate projection, very soft tissue, slightly FoB, slightly centre full, splayed, never met a gore I didn't like, left-heavey by more than a cup size, 31" underbust, but prefer tight band with extender. Panache, Freya size 30GG

Another Empreinte failure. Absolutely beautiful bra!!! But ... too small. It measures as 30cm deep, but I quad baddly and push out over the outside. This band feels tighter than other models I have tried, but it is otherwise the same shape as the 30G seamed demis I have tried.

Narrow wires, lots of immediate projection, very, very well built -straps, hooks narrow gore and no extra room in the wire channel. Straps are only barely long enough, though that is usual for me. Gorgeous purple colour and embroidery with metalic thread accents. Ribbon ribbed straps, good side boning.

Just too small - fits like a 30FF/G or more like a 28G/GG

Bra fits like a balconette bra. Cup Height is 7" . This is too small on me and I have some quadding. I have been able to fit into others in this brand in an F cup, so for this brand I think this cup runs small. I'd compare it to a Cleo in cup size.
Cups are rather closed on top and probably wouldn't work on anyone full on top.

Immediate projection is good. Wires are very narrow at 4.875. I have no wrinkling in the outside of the cups under the arms the ... way I do in every other bra I've tried (except for one Anna Pardal plunge with a 5" wires).
So I guess any wire width over 5" is too much for me.
I don't think this bra is all that good for center projection, wires are sitting on breast tissue.
Perhaps in a 30 G, this would be corrected.

Straps are not fully adjustable. I'm short but there is still plenty of adjustment left so I don't think that would become
    a problem .
I get really good lift, comparable to the Cleo lift . The shape is a fairly round shape.

    • The size variation is....maddening.

    • Love4Pollinators maddening is right. See my latest review of the same brand. I think this is the aberration for this brand. I'm pretty sure that in most in this brand I can size down at least a cup.

    • Looking at the depth I think this is more of a 30FF. Cleo depth in 30F is typically 9.5-9.8" but with wider wires, 5.4 or so, which at least in my case makes me need a deeper depth. With wires under 5" - I can get away with 9-9.1" inches of depth. I'm a solid Cleo 30F ;)

    • revisa, so perhaps just slightly larger than cleos. Definitely not the typical Empreinte .
I've been debating whether to try this in the 30G. I'm thinking this
might be a shape mismatch for me. I was drawn to it because the cups aren't as tall as most Empreintes .

Firstly, the lazuli blue colorway is gorgeous in person. I bought this off an Ebay seller who has several discontinued Empreinte models.

The Grace underwired half cup bra isn't as open I would think for a half cup model. The demi-cup bra is cut lower, but doesn't offer up cleavage as the description or title would imply. It has a 3-section construction gives support, uplift and a rounded shape up until the diagonal seam cuts into my upper-fullness. The cut off gives me a upturned cone-boob effect.

The top seam of the cup is closed and has no stretch, causing quad boobing on the top even. I'm certain ... sizing up would not solve the issue since Empreinte cups run very deep and there are large differences between sizes. The bra technically fits, but this is a shape mismatch on me.

I've tried a couple newer versions of Empreinte demi-cups and they seem to have improved on that. In any case, both newer and old demi-cups with seams remain unflattering on FOT boobs. I suspect they may work well for some FOB busts. Empreinte has since replaced this model with Grace Seamless Lace Bra, which appears to be sold out in most shops.

short roots, functionally bottom full, very center full and I need a ton of immediate projection.
Cups on Empreinte run big, so order cup size smaller.
This brand makes the best fitting bras for me. Great immediate projection and good accomodation of my
center full breasts. The very narrow cups really work for me.
But, they are just too expensive to be practical unless I find a bargain.
I normally wear a 28GG in Cleo or a 30G. Empreinte starts in 30 and that works fine when new. Eventually
though I have to take in the band but I don't mind since they are so comfortable.
Great lift and shape in this bra. Probably not quite as round though as a Cleo.

The 30G fits well if on the large side so I had to try an F just to make sure. Because the band is loosish, the gore doesn't tack rather than major quading. But when I push the gore in, I see all the quading I really have.

I really love this brand, if I can only afford them on special sales. The wires are soft and very U shaped and very narrow. Three hooks, decent straps and luxurious materials, very forward and centred shape. Strong mesh cup with no stretch anywhere. Seams on this model imitate Cleo Marcie, including being a little closed on top. Good immediate projection and the band design permits a looser band to provide the same level of support as a much tighter band.

This is a gorgeous coral colour with two tone pink embroidery.

I found this on clearance. It is still more than I like to pay thoughhttps://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

Cups are very narrow and deep with a lot of room for center projection and very good immediate projection. There seems to be a slightly pointed area at the center apex.

I think the band probably runs true, or maybe slightly small.

Even though the gore is a little too tall for me, it lays flat and is not uncomfortable , I think because finally I have enough center projection . You can see on the picture that the wire on one ... side is very slightly on my one breast but not uncomfortable at all. I usually sew the wires together from the back side because I have touching boobs. On this bra I could narrow the gore at the top by 1/4" by doing that and I don't think it would then be on either.

This is supposed to be a Demi bra, but on me because I'm so short rooted, it is like a full coverage bra.
I normally wear a 28 but this 30 isn't too bad. It didn't seem to ride up on the loosest hook. I don't know if that is because it has enough center projection and immediate projection. Normally a 30 band this size would be riding up on me in the back and the wires slipping out of my IMF.
However, I could also wear it on the innermost hook without being uncomfortable. So I do worry about it getting too big as it gets older. I wish this brand came in a 28.
The wires are nicely padded so it is very comfortable, the most comfortable bra I've tried.
Even though the wires are really really narrow, I still have the same wrinkling at the side of the cup under the arms that I have in every single bra I've tried. I think it could be because most of my breast tissue is to the center and not to the side.
I can get rid of it by lifting the cup where the strap meets the cup.

Even though this gore is comfortable in both width and height for my breasts, I still think the cups are too wide-set for me. I feel like this bra was made for someone who is wider across the front of the rib cage. As a result, I feel like this bra attempts to pull my breasts to my sides in an east-west fashion, resulting in quadding at the top edge of the cup as well as lots of wrinkles along the base of the cup. I don't believe it's that it doesn't have enough lower PROJECTION, because when I look at the cup, it does seem to have good lower projection. I think it's just a matter of this bra wanting my torso to be wider across the front than it is.

  10. Lorella (18126)

This is my first Empreinte bra.

I usually wear 28G/30FF UK, but after reading reviews saying Empreinte bras runs big and deep (that's what she said!), I've decided to take the plunge and ordered 75F (France sizing) which would be around 30F UK.

It fits perfectly. The band is more like Freya bras and although I can hook it on the last hooks, I still feel supported using the loosest set. It has 3 rows of 3 hook and eye, which I think added to the support. The quality of the bra feels well made, strong, and sturdy. Although the cups don't have seams in it, the lift and shape ... is still good. I am full on top, but the cups don't cut me in unless I really pull my shoulder backwards. I feel that it is more like Masquerade Rhea in which it keeps my boobs close to my chest. The wires are also narrow like Cleo bras and the straps are fully adjustable.

This bra is also very very comfortable, I don't need to break it in. Now I see why Empreinte bras are so bloody expensive. It is worth your money, trust me.

  11. Melody Plunge Bra (1486)

This is a pre-loved bra for me, so the band feels a little loose on the loosest hooks - but it doesn't appear to be riding up, so it's supportive enough, which means I should get plenty of wear out of it.

The gore is quite wide for me, but it sits low and is very short, so it tacks properly without any problems. No surprise, being a plunge, but amazingly, despite my inner fullness and soft tissue, I don't fall into the centre of this bra the way I normally do in plunges. The cups are pure non-stretch lace, with a seamed non-elastic edge.

The trade-off for a ... plunge that works seems in this case to be the shape the bra gives me. It doesn't bring me forward, so from the front I look quite wide, and in profile the shape is not particularly uplifted and quite natural. It's not a bad shape, I just prefer to be a little more forward so my arms don't come into contact with my breasts.

The wire is quite short on this one; I normally need a much larger wing height to contain my tissue, but despite the wire finishing so low I'm not having any problems with falling out the side either.

All in all this bra is a bit of a mystery to me: by all accounts it really shouldn't work for me: it's closed along the top edge of the cup, the wings are too short, it's a plunge. And yet it does. I guess it's simply the cut of the cup!

Empreinte are a difficult brand to find cheaply, which is why I snatched this one up -- but if you do get a chance to try one on, nab it, because honestly the comfort of this bra is flawless. One thing to keep in mind is that this model at least runs large in the cup: I'm a 30FF in most everything I've tried so far, but the 30F in this is perfect.

This bra does not fit. Gore is fine, center full accommodation is good. Narrow cups are great. I can't quite fill the top of the cups.

And there is not enough immediate projection. This is true for all the seamless bras in this brand, even though the seamed bras in this brand fit me great. Band seems to be okay. I normally wear a 28GG in Cleos.

Gore too tall and I get that muffin top over the gore.
Under a t shirt this is close to invisible and I think in all but the most clingy shirt, it would not show.

Kaela is a sturdier bra than Melody. Very front and center shape much like a Cleo. However, not as invisible

Band for a 30 is comfortable on me. I usually wear a 28.
There is not enough immediate projection for me. I have about an inch of space at the bottom of the cup.

I'm desperate for a bra that would work like a T shirt bra, so decided to pay the on sale price for a perfect fit.
This brand works very well for me in a seamed bra.
Alas, this is not a perfect fit. Doesn't accommodate my center fullness as well as their seamed bras.
One wire sits on breast tissue. Also slightly less immediate projection than their seamed bras.
This bra is pretty invisible under a t shirt. Shape is understated and very natural. Almost gives a minimized
look which I don't mind since I'm short and short waisted. Seemed to support my very dense breasts well.
Band in a 30 seemed okay. I usually wear a 28 if available. Probably would need to eventually take the band in
I'm not going to keep it because at this price it needs to be perfect.

As always, a pretty bra. This colorway is particularly striking. The cups run large (I was sized into a 30G when I was more properly a 32G, and now at a 30G in most things, the 30F fits me well), the wires are narrow, and there's fairly immediate projection. Gives a round shape. Band and straps are wide and comfortable. But...

Empreinte is seriously overpriced. I owned my first Melody for less than a year before I needed to fasten it on the tightest hooks in order to get any support at all, and that is just not something I am willing to accept from a 180USD bra. Also, ... this particular bra is definitely is not as uplifting as some of my other bras, and the end result is a bit of an east-west look. Again, at that premium? Not worth it. Also, while I rarely actually find the lace of these bras itchy, it is distinctly Not Soft, which might be startling on your first pass.

(My understanding on the price is that it's at least partly due to import fees.)

Anyway, I wouldn't recommend this brand full-priced to... anyone. Do not pay more than 60USD for these bras, they don't hold up well enough to be worth it.

Originally bought for my slimmer, more petite sister (who of course changed her mind). It's always been a bit too snug in the band for me, I tried it 3-4 times with an extender but just didn't reach for it as I had other Melodys in 32 that just felt better. With the extender, it fit great when I was heavier with a breast perimeter of about 10-10.5. I've lost some weight and breast volume though so it is now much too big.

This is a very expensive high quality bra. It is a gorgeous pastel pink with a beige-ish lace overlay. I want to love this bra given how much I paid for it but the underwires at the centre gore dig into my sternum making it extremely painful not just uncomfortable. I've tried bending it in several different ways to no avail. The only thing I can do is put a boost pad underneath which of course changes the size and I have to put it on the tightest hook.
