    Didn't fit

I'm editing this review. After much deliberation I bought it on ebay for $25. Things to note about this bra: it runs a cup size big for Elomi. I fit a 40H in Elomi, and a 40HH in Panache and Curvy Kate. It has soft seam free cups and an inside sling to move the breasts from the armpit. It fits wide like Elomi usually does, and the gore is fairly wide and high, so the breasts remain very separated and slightly East West. However, the side sling keeps my breasts pointing mostly forward and not under my armpits. Around the ... edge of the whole bra which means under the armpits and along the strap edges there is a very soft smooth satiny fabric rather than itchy lace or decoration, which means that even though the straps are fairly wide set and the wing is wide and comes up near my armit and cuts into my pectoral chub, there is no rub or irritation. The wings are made of non-stretch fabric, and then attached to a firm stretch fabric on the back. So the band is less stretchy than a lot of bands in this size and on the first day felt a little too firm. On the second day on the first hook it feels perfect. The non-stretch wing and firm band ensures the wires don't bend back with the band, and the wire is the same width today as it was the day I bought it, and does not appear to mold to my body like other Elomi wires besides the Etta (I like firm, non-bendy wires, but YMMV). The straps are fairly short and only semi adjustable. They are very wide, flat, and firm on top.

The overall fit and feel of the bra is locked in. I feel strapped in like in an encapsulation sports bra. While my soft breasts do have some bounce in the bra, it's nothing like my open cup Panache. Everything is very firm and close to the body, not projected and open. Because of this I quad out slightly on my larger side and have cup space on top on my small side. Due to the shape of my breasts this is something that I expect all bras to do, so it's not a big deal to me. The quadding only occurs during the day and is easily smoothed. Due to the fact that the bra is not meant for a FOT shape, like all full coverage bras, on my big side I get a slight ski slope shape, but on my small side which is more even I get a really nice "green" shape.

The overall appearance is a rounded shape with an apex, very smooth and minimized rather than projected, but there is still room for projection. I am probably a bit too projected and definitely too narrow for this bra, but it's worth it for the profile under clothes, especially all my summery fitted white tops. It is perfectly seamless and a good "nude" for my fair skin. Because it doesn't push my breasts into my armpits the width is not an issue either. I'm so happy to finally find a seamless nude bra so I can wear all my white and cream summer shirts again!

This elomi is not padded but has no pattern so it doesn't show through t-shirts. It stretched out in the band pretty quickly, so I'm on the last hook already - and pushes me off to the side more than the 34GG - Elomi » Caitlyn Underwire Side Support (8030). Good quality and supportive, but not as comfortable as the Caitlyn, either. I definitely want to take this off at the end of the day - it digs into my sternum.

Elomi 3911 in 38FF is very comfortable, but the top of the cup cut into one of my breasts, which is very slightly larger than the other. So, I thought this size 38G would fit perfectly. Alas, 38G is much too big, particularly at the wings where it cuts across my armpit awkwardly.

Comfortable fabric and band. Round cup shape. Very comfortable. Unfortunately, the top of the cup cuts into one of my breasts, which is very slightly larger than the other.

This is what I would consider to be an ideal T-shirt bra, but unfortunately, it's just too large, especially in the cups. There's a lot of wrinkling in the upper corner where the bra straps attach.

Credit where credit is due: I didn’t HATE this bra like the other two Elomis. I didn’t really like it, either, though. It’s comfortable and supportive and yes, it’s smoothing. It does exactly what it says it will do. It was just clearly made for a woman with a wider frame and wider roots than mine. I might actually like this bra better if I try it in 34FF. As it is, it’s just kind of loose on me around the sides. I won’t be keeping this in this size, but I may exchange it for a 34 band just to see if I like it better that way.

Band is way too small, will be reordering a 40GG. I do like the feeling of the cup material, it's different from any other bra I've tried.

This is another attempt to find a bra - recommended online by a fitter after I told her my issues. Cup problem again and I think too small on the left as I slightly fall out of the top but as usual the cup on the right is too big.

Updated on Oct 13, 2017 Flag this

    • Hmm I don't think it is too small exactly--just looks like the edge of the cup is a little shallow for you, perhaps.
However, if you've only just recently been refitted, or if this is your first stab at finding a really optimal fit, you may just be overtightening the straps. Almost all people who've spent a lifetime in iffy-fitting bras tend to do so, as it's the only way to get real uplift when the band isn't snug enough. If you loosen straps until they are JUST snug enough to stay on your shoulders, how do the cups fit?

    • This looks much like how most bras fit me. Imagine moving the gore wires closer together, on top of one another at the center. I think you would fill the cups then and no quadding would be present. Bra manufacturers do not yet design bras for close-set and center-full breasts. Most of us must alter them to fit. Sigh.

The band is looser and the cup is wider than I like. It's also a minimizer bra, and it makes breasts look a bit smaller than they are, in my opinion.
