I love the look of this bra so much. The hunter green lace is so pretty and the whole bra is fairy like. My particular bra, I feel, has quite a bit of the lace - but I wish there was more. I'd love to see it continued through the sides of the band like the lace on the Victoria. Oh well. In person, the beige on my bra looks like a rose gold. It's really striking with the green. It doesn't look like that in my photos though. I wonder if they use different fabric at different times or if everybody's Ivy is a bit soft pink.
The band ...is alright. It starts out really snug and comfortable on the loosest set of eyes, but it stretches really quickly and I need to move on to the middle set during the day. Initially I was happy to have ordered a 65 and not a 60 as the band only stretches to 28" when it hasn't been worn. Obviously the elastic loosens quickly and I'm wishing I had bought a 60 after all since I'm concerned about longevity. Once the bra has rested it only stretches to 28" again and I'm back on the loosest eyes until the middle of the day. As long as that continues to be the case I can deal with it. The wires, as always, are where they need to be. No stabbiness, no rubbing, no migrating. Super narrow and right along my root. The straps are comfortable, not very stretchy, not too long, and a decent width. My straps are embroidered and the adjusters are easy to move and stay in place. Thankfully this lacks the knife-like edging that my Victoria has, so the bra is virtually undetectable by my body until the band starts to ride up.
The underwear are a M for my 38" hips. They fit fine and are comfortable, but the briefs are very full coverage and I'm lukewarm about them. They're great under a skirt/dress, but I wish they were cuter. The bra and thong feel youthful and free-spirited and the briefs feel a bit matronly. There is just so much beige fabric on them and not enough of the lace to balance it out. Read more 262 more words
Well, the much anticipated arrival of my third attempt at Poison Ivy has come. Finally, one I can keep! Yay!! However there are a few points I'd like to make about this particular bra, especially in comparison to the Free Time I also ordered and will review in a bit.
It's still just as pretty as it always has been. I feel like a sexy woodland fairy. The band is TTS - stretches to 28" exactly. Cups are narrow at 5" and allow for immediate projection. One caveat here - it is shallow by the gore. Anna told me it's ...the same pattern as Free Time (and I imagine quite a few other Comexim plunges) but there's something quite different about how it fits in comparison to my Free Time. I think it's the material - it feels thicker somehow. The gore soft tacks, and really wants to float at the top. I noted this on the fit checklist, but on the personal assessment I said it was okay, because I think this is the best fit I will get in Poison Ivy. It tacks better than the reduced 60HH I tried. The 60J gore did completely tack, but it was massive everywhere else. It's possible that I could have requested a 60J with like a huge 4 cm cup reduction, and maybe it would have tacked, but I took Anna's advice and just went down to a standard 60HH.
I think Poison Ivy is a slightly different bird for Comexim. It gives me a hint of actual cleavage. It acts like it wants to be a push up bra. It's definitely the bra to wear if I want to go out and put the girls on display. Everything is up front, together, and says "hello boobies!!" Since I don't do a lot of taking the girls out these days, it will be a mini-adventure in itself to see which of my shirts it works best under. But this bra has been The One I've Chased Forever, and I'm so glad I have it in my closet now. It's so uniquely gorgeous and I just cannot get over that hunter green. Read more 273 more words
So I've seen this bra a lot and was never it's biggest fan, but when I was able to swap for it I decided to try it out. I'm now in love with it's look unfortunately it didn't work out well for me. I normally wouldn't try a 70G without reduced cup height, but I figured it has cookie pockets, maybe that will make it work for me. In addition to cookie pockets it has an overlapping gore. Full review on my blog.
Well this is my second attempt at Comexim, two sizes down from the ginormous 60K I previously tried, and it's a no go too. So I'm disappointed and more confused on my Comexim size, and will be posting a fit check I'm sure.
First of all, it's a lovely bra. I love the green lace overlay. It's insanely soft and comfortable. It's pre-owned but is in great shape. The band is possibly stretched out a bit, I put it on the middle hooks.
However, I've finally done it - I've met a gore that doesn't tack. The wire width and projection are fine, ...but it's obviously too small in the cups, my nipples threaten to pop out. The cups seem quite short so I have asked the seller if the cups are reduced because she didn't specify, and I think knowing that will help me decide what size to try next. I'll update when she answers. Typically I wear a 28FF in unlined bras and a 28G in molded bras, so I'm somewhat surprised at how much too small this 60HH is. Read more 82 more words
Bloody beautiful! The beige is a bit too shimmery to allow for the optical illusion of only the green covering your breasts (Or maybe the colour is just a bit off from my flesh), but that doesn't stop how alluring this bra looks. Soft and satiny on the outer beige parts, with soft green lace overlaying it. A soft cotton in the cup, which is a padded cup. The lace usually doesn't show much under shirts that aren't fickle. It seems like the largest 60L/65K I have (out of 4), by about a half cup or cup size. Usual polish projected cups - quite narrow wires! Comexim's underwires are softer and bend outward when on a bit. Fully adjustable plain straps. Beige satin bows just before the straps attack to the cup and on the gore's top, with the gore bore having a metallic 'C' charm.
Such a pretty bra, but a tad too shallow and small for me these days. The gore doesn't quite tack, mostly b/c of how soft they are I think, so things shift around after a few hours of wear. I have to scoop often to get things settled again. I keep hanging onto it because it's so hard to find bras with that gorgeous dark green and I don't want to give it up, so I mostly just wear it for short occasions now.
This bra is beautiful, the green lace looks great against the cream silky fabric. It has a nice firm band and narrow wires, which I love. It is a slight shape mismatch on my smaller side and can be small at certain times of the month but overall one I my best fitting bras. I am narrow, FOB, and slightly project but I have soft tissue so as long as the wires fit I can slightly conform to the bra's shape. So overall if you need narrow wires, not a ton of projection, and fairly closed tops I would recommend this bra
I am probably the only woman on earth who is not over the moon about the aesthetics of this bra. I don't know, it just doesn't move me. Something about the colour combination, not liking it really. I got it used, it is comfortable, but I don't fill the cups as I should. There is some gaping with movement, but at the same time my boobs want to escape in the middle. I think the cups have been reduced on this one. The band is stretchy.
Lovely cleavage, a round and projected profile, and gorgeous fairy-esque green lace over a satiny peachy-beige base. Another beautiful bra from Comexim! Please note that I have marked this bra as fitting despite the fact that the gore floats away from my chest ever so slightly at the top, but when I press it fully to my sternum I get no quadding. Other than this consequence (I think) of Comexim's less firm underwires, everything else fit-wise is spot-on.
