    60HH

    Fits

This is the first new shape I've tried in a while but I love my other Comexim's so I was hoping that this bra would be a hit! I got it from another user who had some adjustments made to it making it too small for her. I usually wear a 60H in Comexim. The basic has always run a half cup small but I usually still go for the 60H. This 60HH is very small for the tag sizing. I feel like it's on the small side of a 60H or even a 60G. The shape of this bra gives you some nice 'cakes on a plate' ... appearance. Because of that the fact that the cups are too small for me I get more... bang for my breast tissue buck in how it looks. I am glad I took the chance on this bra and even though it is technically too small in the cups, I will probably still keep it because it is beautiful, comfortable, and (I think) looks sexy in a subdued kind of way.
Be warned though, you will want to size up if you are unsure of the sizing because even without adjustments this bra would be small for a 60HH.

I wish I had seen this review sooner. Recently purchased a 60J Basic HC from the BF sale and it's too small in the cups. :( Had no idea Basic runs half a cup small.

    • 2

@katie166 I'm sorry that happened! Buying a specific bra and then having not fit is such a let down!
I talked myself out of that sale. I convinced myself that I would hate the look of the bras in person or they would be all wrong because my last set of Comexims that I purchased are like 3 years old and they could have changed things.
Did you get any good bras out of your purchase?

    • The Basic was the only one I got unfortunately. I'm a 28 band and located in Asia where no brand makes this size. So I'm used to not seeing a bra before I buy it and having to return often.

    Didn't fit

Holy boobies out on display! What’s up you say? Oh nothing, just my boobs lol. After buying a lot of three piece soft cup bras, I figured it was time to add a half cup bra to my collection. I do love the look at times but hadn’t owned one in a long while. I went with my somewhat usual Comexim size of 65J/30GG....and it’s a wee too small. If I have my arms down the cup just fits. But if I bring my arms back I get quad-boob. Plus if this bra decided to slide down just a bit I’d have a nip-slip. I’ve reordered in a ... 30K to see if I can get a better fit. I just pray the wires aren’t wider. I’ve had a little weight gain, but not much. But I guess enough to affect how my moulded cup bras are fitting.
    Purchased in the color black.
The straps are a wonderful smooth elastic. The cups are a three piece construction with two vertical seems up the cup. The top of the cup has a thin lace like edging detail and two small black bows where the straps meet the cup. There is a black bow on the center gore. The backband is one layer of power mesh. There elastic is pretty evenly distributed on top and bottom of the band. The back closure is a 3x3 with all hardware being black. It’s very comfortable and the straps spaced really well. I just hope I can get a more contained fit with the next cup up.

I love how comfortable Comexim bras are out of the box. It looks good, but I hope the 30K fits you better.

    • 1

Wilderness1 Yes! I definitely appreciate comfort! It’s one of the things that keeps me coming back to the brand for moulded cup bras. I just hope the K cups fit. I really hate having to return and rebuy items. Or sell. I just don’t have the energy for it at the moment.

    • 1

I definitely think 3HC puts them on display. Most people size up in the 3HC from the plunge.

    • 1

Do you find that the 3HC bras put them on display more than plunges?

    • Calluna I’m going to try sizing up in the cup to see if I can get a more comfortable fit.

dtane18 Since I feel this bra runs small in the cup, I’m going to compare it to my Comexim basic plunge in 65J. I’m going to say that this bra pushed them up, while the plunge style pushes them in.

The cups fit fine, with slight quadding or gapping dependent on movement. The band is a tiny bit tight (my snug ub is 67, stretched band is 67) but fine.. My only remark is that the gore is too narrow, as comexim is known for their narrow gores.

This was my first Comexim attempt ordered from Breakout Bras and it seems to be too small as it made me quad boob pretty bad. Band was also really snug when I got it at the time (was measuring around 29.5 tight). I was measuring a 30FF when I bought this and later bought some 30G Comexim plunges also from Breakout and found those to be a great fit until I changed sizes.

My shape: close set, center full, full on bottom, average/narrow width roots, tall shallow roots, semi soft tissue.

I'm just going to write a brief try on review because this bra is ridiculously too small for me. The band measures about 20.5" unstretched and 26" stretched with some wire distortion. I have an extender that I added just to try and assess the fit of the cups even with a full extender it was still somewhat tight. The fit of the cups (with the extender on) is too small, mostly quad boob near the center gore and I can't tell if the gore floats a bit or not since ... Comexim has softer wires. Side coverage near the wings is almost good, a bit to low. Wires are narrower than what I can wear (under 5") but since they're soft they sorta stretch and fit (not sure of the correct term). The cup height is pretty good, I love having a lower cup and the way it looks. I've been longing for another bra in a half cup shape.

I absolutely love the black fabric on this, it has a slight sheen and reminds me of black leather. This bra gives off a fantastic shape already (round, full) so I'm excited to try another size. I really want this bra to work so I am going to return this and try a different size.

Oh my! That band is waaaayyy to small for a 65. It may have been mislabeled. Defiantly worth exchanging it for a better fitting one.

    • 1

Yeah I emailed them today. I asked for a cup size up and band size up, so hopefully the 32” band will be better.

** I do not own this bra. I returned it as it did not fit properly.**

TL;DR: Beautiful bra, extremely comfortable to wear (once I put on an extender) and gives an incredible shape, but straps are too wide, cups are too open & center gore too low for me. Cups too tall at the wings for me to fill but otherwise overfilled them. Need at least 1 cup size higher - 2 cups sizes higher in total than my normal 30J. Looked amazing for about 2 minutes after initial swoop & scoop.

BAND is extremely tight. True Size 65, closer to 29/29.5 stretched. Needed to add an ... extender. A first for me with 65/30 backs. Will need to try a 70 band. For comparison, The Comexim Tara - unpadded 3HC longline - 65 band was much stretchier and I could easily wear on the second to last or last (loosest) hook.

WIRES are soft but strong. Very comfortable and did a good job of carrying the weight of my breasts so I could loosen the straps and still be quite lifted. Again, huge contrast to the unpadded 3HC @Comexim Tara where the wires buckled under the weight of my breasts - another first for me.

CUP DEPTH: are soft against the skin and VERY open on top with little projection on the bottom. No kidding with the cakes on a plate. Too open for my somewhat FOT breasts now, most likely because pregnancy and nursing and turning 40 have made my tissue much softer and I now need more containment.

CUP SHAPE: cups gave a beautiful upfront, rounded shape to all of my breast tissue that fit in them. Unfortunately, a LOT did not fit in and I had a lot of spillage at the center.

CUP HEIGHT / CENTER GORE: itself was soft and comfortable and tacked beautifully, perfect for my very close set boobs but far too low for my center fullness. Seriously, the Exxon Valdez has nothing on what my boobs were doing here. If the cup height had been about as tall at the center as it is at the wings this may have worked for me. However, the cups angle somewhat downwards from wing to gore, similar to their plunges but again, vastly more open on top. In addition, I had significant gaping at the tall edge of the cups by the straps, even though I more than filled out the rest of the cups. Typical for me.

STRAPS: Too wide-set for my narrow shoulders. Would have to have them altered for sure. Strap itself was Thick but not sports bra thick, strong and comfortable. Fully adjustable.

WINGS: Very comfortable, felt contained by the narrow wires. Very little tissue or skin sticking out under arm.

FITTING NOTES: Breakout Bras, where I purchased, advises to size up 2 cup sizes from your normal, and I now agree. 30JJ was at least 1 cup size too small for me. I believe I'm pretty shallow-breasted (still working this out) which is why I tried 1 cup size up.

This is not what I consider to be a true half cup. A true HC (for me) has a straight horizontal line from the gore to the wing. These have the correct vertical seams and rounded shape but the cups dip down from the wings to the gore at a bit of an angle.

I last tried bras on properly almost 5 years ago right before I got pregnant with my little girl. At the time this would probably have been my dream bra, but after all the changes to my breast tissue from pregnancy weight gain to nursing to aging this is no longer a viable option.

Going to list this as a Fitting Help request next - hoping with some alterations to make a Comexim work for me, as historically none of the US/UK brands have really worked for me. I have only had success with Half Cups and because I'm a true 30J I've always needed one cup size higher and never yet found it. So I wear bras that are too small. (Except in Curvy Kate, whose bras are far too wide for me and splay my poor girls east/west.) Well, actually, now I just wear sports bras because they keep me contained - not sexy, but more comfortable. The joys of motherhood!

    60H

    Fits

After my success with my Comexim direct order, I decided to branch out and order a few other fits other than the Padded Plunge. I haven't found much info comparing the fit of the Padded Plunge to the 3HC, but I reached out to Breakout Bras and asked them if I should size up or down since I am between sizes 60G and 60H. They recommended sizing down to 60G and said that the depth is comparable in the two cuts, but the open cup could accommodate any additional fullness. Other wearers seem to indicate that they wear their normal size in both cups. ... However, since Breakout Bras only had the 60H in stock, I decided just to try that size and see how it went.

I was really surprised when I received this bra to find that it runs extremely shallow. The shape of the bra is not what I expected from a 3HC, which I thought would be a very rounded cup shape. In reality, this bra is very flat and shallow. It lacks immediate projection at the wire and projection at the center of the cup. The upper cup closes back in very slightly, just enough to minimize gapping. It is not as open or as rounded as most open cup bras. I recently reviewed the Masquerade Angie, which I commented is a very shallow 3HC . . . this one is even shallower in cup depth!

At first, I thought that the minimizing effect of the cups could be due to a band that's too tight and cups that are too large. Before measuring the bra, I tried it on with an extender as well, but the extender did not improve the flat appearance of the cups. I confirmed that the band measurement of my bra is exactly the same of all of my other 60 band Comexims (except the Celebration, which came in 2-3 cm smaller than normal). When I am fully scooped into the bra, it fits my larger side very well, and fits my smaller side ok as well. It would look better on me with the cup height reduced 1.5-2 cm, but overall this is the correct cup size for me. The wires fit perfectly, and I really struggle with wires of 60G in all the styles I've tried.

Yes, it fits, but I hate the shape it gives me. If I were to try a 3HC style again, I would ask for reduced cups and maybe 2 cm total increase in depth. The straps on this style are closer set than on the Padded Plunge because the cup height is already shorter, but I'd ask for them to be moved in a bit further. I do get a bit of gapping when I move, but this is attributed to the tall cups and wide straps.

After browsing the photo gallery for 3HC styles, I am thoroughly perplexed. Some users' bras fit just like mine did, with a flattened minimized effect but with no fit issues from the cup being a size too small. Others seem to get a very rounded and full appearance in this bra, but when I tried this on with silicone inserts, it just made the cup too small but still oddly shaped. I suspect that this style suits the FOT ladies better, especially ones who don't need much immediate projection at the wire.

The styling of this bra is almost identical to the Basic Plunge. However, this particular bra has a plain black elastic strap compared to the textured elastic on my Padded Plunge, which is probably due to manufacturing batch differences as I got this one through Breakout Bras. The fabric on both is the same light satin, and the upper cup trim is the same narrow lace. The simple bows are a little bit different between the two bras, but overall they are very much sisters.

    • Hey, I have seen this today, if your 3HC is an altered version, then it may help: https://www.reddit.com/r/ABraThatFits/comments/6ltfdw/discussion_comexim_standard_3hc_vs_custom_3hc/

Anyway, I don't think the Comexim measurements on Bratabase are good references. Because according to this post, there can be a huge difference for the same labeled bra.

    • Agreed, I didn’t find the measurements on Bratabase to be reliable for me in determining Comexim measurements (except for the band), so I just ordered styles to try and asked Breakout Bras for advice. But sometimes they are wrong too.

I have the same problem with Ewa in my size and it’s really impossible to determine the right size based on measurements here, unfortunately.

It seems that sewing has a lot to do with the 3HC shape, and I think that’s probably why I also notice slightly different fits in the padded plunge even when measurements are identical. The sewn cups just don’t have the same consistency as a molded foam one.

I reached out to Joanna to ask her if she thinks requesting additional depth and shortened cups will help, or if the shape of the bra is really not suited to me. This is a good example of how I used to think I was shallow, but bras with truly shallow cup shapes NEVER fit me because I need immediate projection.

I love how this bra fits. It comfortably holds my breasts in place and I am not spilling out. The band is snug and doesn't shift around. The bra gives me a nice, round look. The material is a bit rough though and it can be a little itchy on my skin.

I really like how this bra fits and how it gives me the "cakes on a plate" look. The band was a little snug at first, but it stretched nicely after a few wears. The cups hold my boobs in place and provide great support. It almost feels like the cups hold my boobs up. There is no squishing or pinching or pushing anywhere. It has narrow wires, which work well for me. I have asymmetry, but if I tighten the strap on my smaller side, it isn't terribly noticable. The bra fits in my IMF. Also, the gore tacks pretty well without digging into my sternum, which ... is a problem I have with a lot of bras. The gore pushes out ever so slightly on my bigger side. Based on fit and how it looks under clothing, this is my favorite bra so far.

The material is stiff and scratchy. It makes my skin itchy sometimes, which I don't like. I can look past this because the bra fits well and makes my boobs look nice under clothing.

I like this bra enough that I ended up buying the black 3HC as well.

This bra has great underwire shape for me, just like the Adele, but also has a lot of gaping at the top of the cup. I think that's caused my a shape mismatch, but I'll probably try a smaller cup because this is the best any underwire has fit me.
