I saw this cheap on ebay and couldn't resist after trying the longer version in 28H and finding the cups too small. This bra is very pretty. The lace detail is gorgeous and the little pink bow in the centre is a really nice accent. The straps have a super soft fuzzy lining on the inside and they're quite thick and not cutting in. The band is comfortable, I feel very supported and my back is happy. I think this is currently the best fitting bra I own now.
I am breastfeeding and tried it on just before feeding and it seemed to fit perfectly. These photos were taken just ...after a feed so there is a little bit of space at the top for my boobs to fill up a bit again. I'm going to have a go at converting it into a nursing bra.
Edit: Little things that are bothering me after wearing it most of the day. The wires are too wide for me and the gore is also too wide and sits on my breast tissue. It is not really uncomfortable though, just annoying. I was able to add nursing clips so I can use it as a nursing bra. Read more 93 more words
I've been wanting to try the Cleo Piper since its first incarnation, as the true longline. However, I knew that the original longline version was quite closed on top, so I didn't dare get my hopes up. Then, when Cleo came out with the midi version, I heard that the fit had been tweaked so that the cups weren't quite so closed off on top, but that it was still advisable to size up in the cup. So, when martka00 posted this for sale in a (distant) sister size, I felt like that would be the best opportunity to try it.
First of all, I ...love the appearance of this bra. The light blue with contrasting yellow bow, the eyelash lace peeking over the bottom edge of the band.. so cute! I personally like that this is a midi band now instead of the true longline, as I've learned that I'm not a huge fan of longlines. I'm petite and I don't like how longlines make me feel restricted and covered up, like my torso has been shortened. So the midi is a great compromise. The band has plastic boning in each of the side seams to keep the band from rolling up.
Fit wise, unfortunately this bra doesn't fit me. I was prepared to shorten the band if everything else fit well, but that is not the case. I get a lot of empty space and wrinkling in the top of the cups, which is my main fit issue. It seems to fit me depth-wise, however, so perhaps this bra runs a tad shallower than other Cleo balconettes. The gore is maybe slightly wider than I'm used to, which might be remedied if I actually got this bra in my proper size. I can't say for sure if the cups would be too closed off in my proper size or not.
So, at least I know now that I would have to try a 28F, but other than that, my trial was somewhat inconclusive. I may wait and see if I can snag that green colourway on sale at some point. Read more 245 more words
28GG-H/30G-GG, projected, pendulous, bottom and center full.
I got the Cleo Piper bra in Soft Turquois a few months back in summer. I immediatly fell in love with how pretty it is, I absolutely love the color and the little yellow detail, I love how it looks on me, the matching panty is just as pretty. Sadly I don't wear it anymore. Mainly because I gained weight and spill out of it, but it also diggs into my sides like crazy, I'm pretty sure this is my first and last longline bra. Every time I decided to wear this bra for a day, my ribcage would literally hurt after a ...few hours and I'd have bright red indentations on the side of my ribcage. The band is definitally not too tight, it's the way it's constructed.
I really really like the material tho, it's nothing special but exactlly what I'm looking for in a basic everyday bra, it's quite soft. I'm pretty sure the digging issue is different for different body types, I might just have too much squishy fat on me. Read more 71 more words
This bra is extremely pretty. The black lace overlay on top of the dark blue looks so nice. It's not really a longline, but it is longer than your average bra and has three clasps rather than two. The band is firm, stretching to exactly 30 inches, which could be because it's a dark color. As much as I wanted this bra to work, it is an awkward fit for me. The elastic at the top of the cups cuts into my tall roots and there wasn't enough projection at the bottom of the cup for me. I have tried the other version of the Piper longline and it also didn't fit. The elastic at the top of the cups still cut in, but I have some wrinkling between the horizontal seam and the top of the cup. I read that this bra was a tough fit before purchasing, but it was so pretty I was convinced I could make it work. Alas.
I'm very pleased with this bra. It is SUPER comfortable and supportive. I love the lace detail on the band and the cups have just the right depth and height. Only issue is slight wrinkling in the cup for my smaller breast.
