It does sit fairly low on the chest and fits larger than other 32" bands, I would say the band is very stretchy. The fabric isn't terrible, but it also can be somewhat itchy but does disappear under knit tops which is nice. I would say if you carried your tissue high on your chest it would be better to balance it out.
I've found that I really hate molded cup bras (or at least I haven't found a good one yet), but I really needed a smooth bra to wear under close-fitting tops. This bra has been the perfect answer -- it is smooth but not too bulky and not so molded it's like wearing armor. Like pretty much all of my Chantelle bras, the band is too stretchy and thus a bit too big, but otherwise I'm happy with it. I also don't know if I'm in love with the shape it gives me, but it's not awful and I'm happy enough with it.
This is one of my favourite bras, although the band is a little bit too big (too stretchy, like pretty much all of my Chantelle bras). The lace is nice and soft. I like the shape it gives, too, I think much rounder than the full-coverage version of the same bra.
I have this bra in white and nude, and they fit pretty much the same way. The band is definitely too big -- at first it feels fine, but I can fit my whole hand between the band and my back. I can also fasten it on the smallest hook if I want to. I think the band is just too stretchy, but it's hard to find Chantelle bras in 30 bands. The cup is generally fine. There is a little bit of wrinkling on the top of the cup on my smaller breast, but it's not horrifically noticeable (especially on the white bra). Sometimes the gore pokes into my sternum a little bit, but it's not a constant thing.
Even though I'm generally happy with this bra, I think that overall it just has too much "give" and is too stretchy. Frustrating because I thought I'd finally found THE bra, but... not yet.
I love this bra. Sexy, sheer and adds no volume or bulk to my larger breasts. although it is a 32 back size it runs smaller than most and is perfect for my mostly 30 size back.
I love this bra-it's sheer luck that it fits so well. It is the first bra I have ever worn/tried on/bought in a 30 back. My breasts feel well supported, shaped, and are comfortable. The underwires are COMFORTABLE. Perhaps this is my particular shape... The straps can be worn halter or racerback in addition to normally. When worn normally, they don't fall off of my shoulders. Its not the prettiest bra, but rather utilitarian.
I bought this bra after it's half cup variation at 30D was too small in the cup for me (and they didn't have 30DD in stock at the time to replace it). The cup is way to big so I am returning it.
edit: I should probably mention that when I said way too big, I meant at the top of the cup.
The band on this style is definitely tighter than a regular Chantelle 32, so that on its tightest hook it's the same as a 30. Other Chantelles I have are still not tight enough at the tightest hook for me at this point (I'm a 30 underbust). The cups at this point are too big, but once again it's not noticeable under my clothes. If I could find a 32DD it might work better for me right now.
I like this bra because I don't get a line on my chest, although the cups are too big and the band is too big at this point. I wear it on the tightest hook, and the cups don't show up as too big under my shirt.
I liked this bra in a 32DDD when I was 15lb heavier. However, I lost weight and bought this one (on sale). The band is now too big, I wear it on the tightest hook, and the top of the cup cuts into my boob. I guess my boobs aren't flat enough up there!
Not enough support. I felt like my boobs looked lower than they needed to. Once I'd tightened the straps so that they looked like my breasts were in the right place, the straps were too tight.
Very comfortable bra. The 32 band is a little loose on me but they don't make a 30 in my size and otherwise it fit better than the other gadzillion bras I tried on at Nordstrom. The top edge will occasionally show under a top but mostly good. The side/back straps are a little narrow so I do get some back bulge. Wish it had more side support.
I have tried this bra on so many times hoping that, this time, it'll fit. So far no dice. This is especially disappointing because the one other Chantelle I have (C Paris Memory Foam) is also a 32DDD and fits great in the cups but is too big in the band.
The band on this bra is fine -- a little tight but not so tight that I'd go up a size; it would be perfect after being worn a bit. The cups are the problem for me. They are definitely too small -- I don't get terrible quad-boob, but it's there, and my boobs can escape some of the sides, too. The shape is also very unflattering, although that may be tied to the cup just being the wrong size. The underwires aren't very flexible, which means that the center gore doesn't QUITE lay flat against my chest, but it's close.
I find the fabric kind of itchy, but I think that's something that would go away with wear and washing.
This bra is pretty great! It's comfortable with the wide straps and wide back band and has a bit of compression and good lifting effect. It almost feels as secure as a good sports bra, which I appreciate because most of the time I don't want any wobbling whatsoever. I'm somewhere between a 30 and 32 band, and this fits quite snugly, but not uncomfortably. The only con I can see is that the embroidery, while gorgeous, is quite raised off the main material so that it shows through a tee shirt a decent amount. I don't really mind it, but be warned it is fairly bumpy lace.
