    Used to fit

I fell in love with this bra as soon as I saw it on Bravissimo's site. Granted, the pistachio/black combination really did turn out less green than I had expected, but the bra is still very beautiful. The fit, however, is a different story.

The band is very snug. I border between 28 and 30 and feel better in a 28 band, but with this one, I had to use an extender. It's buckled on the first row of hooks, though, so no big deal.

(EDIT: After three months of very occasional wearing, the band stretched and I don't need to use an extender anymore)

The shape from the side is ... nicely round and minimises the boobs a little (see picture of "bra beneath clothing"). The shape from the front is okay, if a bit too wideset for my taste. The straps are definitely too wideset - not as much as to fall off shoulders, but enough to show under sleeveless tops. And although they are fully adjustable (plus points for that), they are also decorated with stiff, widely spaced semicircles which rub against the skin and remind me of razor wire (a bit poetic, but sadly true!)

The center gore goes quite high on this bra, but I like that. The bra also doesn't really give that much support and doesn't push up at all - the shape it creates works well for square necklines and looks positively ghastly under V-shaped ones.

Lastly, the cups. Now, I probably should be wearing a 28J (if they made it), so I won't go into the depth on how they don't fit me too well, but I would like to point out the crazy width of the underwires. Measured from end to end, they are 35 cm long, which is almost the same as the Panache Confetti in the same size. However, if you look at one of the photos above, I have laid the underwires on top of each other - while the white Confetti curves upwards quite symmetrically, the pistachio Rococo Charm just goes on and on. You know how sometimes underwires poke you in the armpit? The Rococo underwires go *past* the armpit (can be seen on the picture "from the side") I'm afraid that if I wore a larger cup, they would actually curve around my side and touch the center of my shoulder blades!

(EDIT: Through trial and error, I've figured out I usually wear a 28HH in Panache, 28J in Curvy Kate and 28/30GG in Freya. So for this bra, use your Curvy Kate size)

All in all, I am rather disappointed in this bra. I love the color and the decoration, but it is so weirdly uncomfortable to wear that had I tried it on in a changing room, I would have definitely left it at the store.

    • I see you mentioned the wires are crazy wide on this bra, I'm just wondering, are the wires much wider while you're wearing the bra? Sometimes wires are very flimsy so when you stretch the bra the wires also stretch along with the band instead of holding their shape. I consider flimsy wires to be the ones that stretch like 5 cm, and crazy flimsy wires stretch 5+ cm. I think sturdy wires are the ones that only stretch 0.5-1 cm. How would you class this bra's wires?

    Didn't fit

This bra fit me, but a design flaw (in my opinion, since the reviews I've read so far don't mention it) caused the bottom to make my boobs look square. I'm not sure how that happened, but let's just say it's not compatible with my shape. I hadn't tried it on since it first came, but my tissue has changed and now I majorly quadboob over the top of the cups. It's a gorgeous bra, and I love the color. I'm really sad that it doesn't work for me/is too small.
