    12DD

    Didn't fit

To compare this to the 12D...

The cups are too big; quite a bit of gapping at the top, especially when I raise my arms or hug myself. The straps are too wide or come up too widely; it hurts when I raise my arms/hug myself, as the side of the cups and straps dig into my armpit fat area (sorry, not sure what this is called). The base feels pretty good though, and fits up against my breasts and the wire doesn't dig into my sternum quite as much as the 12D does.

So I guess I have to find bras that have the equivalent to a 12DD width but with a 12C or 12D in volume...

    Didn't fit

I tried this on in both the 12D and 12DD...

In the 12D the cup volume is correct, but the underwire isn't up against the bottom of my breast. The straps seem to be a good position compared to my shoulder; I can hug myself without it hurting. The wires dig into the sternum, and I think I could do with a smaller band size.
