Bandless? Yes, but No. Decoration is flawless, one almost does not notice where the lace ends and the triple stitch to elastic begins. The elastics along the band, underwire casing and straps are both sturdy and felt-like, soft, yet obviously cheap & likely to wear quite quickly with regular use. Powernet in the band is of the optimal sleek bouncy type, that gives great recovery. Enameled metal hardware is delicate, ... yet very sturdy. Construction is immaculate. Production process appears oddly amiss with every choice in this products' creation, one clumsily negating the next.

    Curiouser, and curiouser.

Balconette? No. Plunge? No. This is some kind of hybrid. Wires are 'J' type but set a bit on their sides giving a shorter nike-slash shape rather than a deep 'U'. They also feel massive and stronk! There is not frame in this band. Just the bottom elastic from end to end. Nothing to stabilize and help hold the wires along bustline upright at all. In fact there is no solid wing piece, the stretch beginning RIGHT at the wires too-stiff outer arm, which helps it to pull and dig cruelly into ones sides as the bra sees fit.
Oddly this makes the rebar strength underwire want to do flips, gouging under arms and turning outward on the bottom of cup.
I will endeavor to stabilize this area with non-stretch duoplex on both sides as it will resolve the laziness of leaving that out, and move on, unbothered. The needless seam along middle of gore, I will watch with caution against the day it chooses to 'give up the ghost'.

    On to the next mystery!

How much space one gets from this bra, depends I suppose on how much sizing up one feels like doing. Something like immediate depth exists in the first inch along the inner & center panels. However I would caution dear reader, do not get ahead of yourself just yet. No somersaults or whoops of glee for the projected masses. None for the shallow ones, either.

'How can this be!?' you may muse.

The shape is deep toward the inner cup at gore, yet very little space after that to the outer half of cup.
The side support panel is 'C' shaped facing toward the gore, is concave and likely to fight with any curves that get in it's way. Had the powerbar only been straight this could be nice for even fullness, or even 'D' allowing a little room for outer full shapes.

All of these things conspire to rob the inner and lower cup of it's hard work and achievements. Surely many have pondered what devil is in the details that this should at first fit and then, just not.

In conclusion, this 'Ana' style or whatever they call it, runs wide, shallow, a size small & short among other styles in my 'full root, deep cup' search. 'Something for everyone!' the old carny barkers would holler to those passing by. But the thought remains, is this thing for anyone?

Probably average or or a bit large for those who are short + narrow rooted. Materials are stiff, non-stretching, and supportive on first wear, yet expect will soften up after a few washes. And wash we must, as sweltering weather is upon us. Sweat shall surely infest the underwires bare steel, corrode it, then wreck this frilly & ambitious little bit of work if left even a day, no doubt.
Will wait and see whether light constant washing brings on shrinkage and underboob wrinkling, or the fabrics choose to ease up and mold to whatever godforsaken thing my breasts are becoming.
