I'm in two minds about this bra. It's a classic, well-designed, plain bra, which is what I'm looking for. I also like the all-over roundish shape. And it fits, which is no small feat - aside from the little creases at the very top of the cup, but that happens with every bra I've ever tried. But. It's awfully uncomfortable. I can feel each and every seam scratching. Also a weird feeling under the armpits, as the wires do not go all the way to the top and there's an empty bit of wire channel. So, while the wires don't poke, that little flap just flaps around as you move. Hmmm... I think it's going back.
Sturdy-feeling bra, with unusual 4-parts cup construction. All these seams make it visible under light clothes. The straps also have an edging that might make them obvious. This is the correct size for me, but the wires come up a little too high into my armpit fat. It is also sort of "heavy"... not a bra you can forget about wearing. So, not for me as I tend to feel constricted a lot. A pity, because I really like the shape and it is very flattering on me (front-and-center but not too high up, slightly rounded but natural).
Paper tag says 34F UK; sewn in label only says 75G. I bought this bra from Other Eden for science, to identify my Ava size. This is not it, too big everywhere, so I cannot review fit very well. Since other 34F's (as well as EM 75F; Comexim 75HH) do OK on me, I would say that Ava has generous sizing . This is a half-padded or semi-soft bra. I like the idea of that for modesty + summer comfort, and have a few others (Gorteks, Gaia, Nipplex) that are OK fit, so I wanted to try Ava since the price is right! Overall construction, materials and ...aesthetics are very nice and good value. This bra, like the 1410 unpadded version, is on the pale apricot side of beige, with orange flowered lace. Band and straps have a lot of stretch. Side boning under the arms controls side flab, I guess. The lace and the dangle are sweet and feminine. The padded lower part is in 2 pieces, with the seam toward the inner part not in the middle. The padding itself is lightweight and fairly thin, there is not a ton of shaping support (as in an EM S or BM style) but it does feel as though my breasts are well enclosed. It is lined with comfortable cotton. The top lace panel is not stretchy, although there is an elastic sewn in along the top. Seems like there is a good amount of give there, it does not cut in but lays flat. The lace panel dives at a sharp angle to the gore. The wires are very narrow and the gore is not very wide at top or bottom. There appears to be a good amount of room for center fullness at the gore, it is also quite deep both at the wire and the apex. Since it is way too big on me (the diff between a 70H & 75G is striking, see measurements for Ava 1159), I can't tell precisely, but it seems that this model would work well for even or FOT because there is a lot of room here. The cup is pretty tall, as are the wings and the gore. Shape on me is separated, centered and high, but a little upside-down 7. I haven't worn this bra enough to know how it'll stretch with wear-- after I've had it for more than a night I'll probably update this review!
Right now the band is on the comfortable side of tight (I would not necessarily want to wear this bra if I was going to be active enough to use my full lung capacity) and the underwires, for the first time in my life, end almost right next to the end of my breast root.
I could do with the gore being a little lower, as it digs into the squish on my sternum just a little. This is a problem I have in almost every bra. In the Cleo Sadie this is extremely uncomfortable after a couple of hours of wear, in the Liatris I don't notice it.
