    Didn't fit

This was my 2nd order from Asos, so I knew by then to size up. If they'd had it, I would have ordered a 30I (UK 30G) since I know they run small, but 30H (UK 30FF) was the biggest available so I gave it a shot.

Ya know, it's not so bad. This is my favorite of the 3 Asos Swim tops I've tried. It's a little small on me, but the bigger problem is how shallow it is. It's a molded cup, so I expected that, and since my standards for a wearable swim top have sunk so low by this point, I really ... can't complain. But the wires aren't in my IMF, they kind of hover just below it.

If I don't fully s&s, it looks about perfect, but I notice the fit issues - the gore doesn't tack, the band is too big. If I do s&s, the wires comes closer to my IMF and while I don't fall out, there's more noticeable boob-age going on and the gore floats even worse. The greatest thing about this top is the wide halter ties that run up the sides of the cup. They contain the side-boob I have as a result of this being about half a cup too small. I did take a picture while I was scooped n swooped and noted that on the pic.

I love the vintage 50's style, the kind of pin-up model feel it has. I love the color combo. I can tighten the band. If it were a bra, it would be returned immediately. But it's not, so it'll serve its purpose.

I think this looks great on you!
Kind of wanting to buy one of these myself now xD I really like all the retro tops coming out lately.

    • Queequeg0925 Thanks! It's a clearance item and going fast so if you want one, here's the direct link on the us.asos site. Keep in mind it's US sizing lol, there's still 30DDD/F (UK 30E I assume?) and 30G (UK 30F) left. Not sure which would work better for you, I do feel the one I have is somewhat small for a 30FF, but I can see this being really cute on you! http://us.asos.com/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=4622798&CTAref=Saved+Items+Page

lcl0706 ah, thanks so much! :)
I think 30DDD should work. Hopefully. Lol :)

    • Ooh if you get it report back!

I definitely will! :) Thinking I may have to wait until next week. Fingera crossed it's still available!

That's so cute on you! :) I've been trying to resist buying new swimwear all summer.

      Oh, I like that!
I made do with a J.Crew Bandeau XS D-cup top at the water park last weekend. It did it's job, but I'd like a bra sized supportive swim top.
I mostly lay out, so less is more. But sometimes I want to play in the sprinklers too and I'd rather not pop out.

      I wasn't done tablet!
Anyway. I think that's a pretty good fit on you. Do you feel secure when you move about?

    • For the most part. I wouldn't trust it to do jumping jacks or anything, but I'm less picky with bikini tops than bras for sure. I can bend over, roll over, etc. It's definitely too shallow, definitely doesn't tack, I mean if you look close you can see how the gore and bottoms of the wires are not where they belong lol. But it's more supportive and a closer fit than I thought it would be. I mean, I've literally never had a top I don't have to re-adjust after any amount of movement. I have accidentally flashed people because a strong wave hit me. I've fallen out of the center of my tops while bending over. So, this is a huge upgrade for me.
