    Hasn't set fit

This was the second style of Anita bras that I tried during my big bra try on at my local specialty shop. The first one was the regular Momentum in the same size. The fitter was concerned about the strap placement and worried that they might fall off in my activity. To be honest, I don’t expect to be hugely active in the sports bras, as I mainly hope I can get back into walking more and maybe some core strengthening and general stretching/strengthening/minor cardio indoor stuff (I’m in the 15th floor so I can’t do anything that involves jumping). Part of the reason for the ... sports bra is the motivation...having the proper gear will motivate me to do more.

Anyway, this bra is basically a step up from the Momentum, as it’s got lightly padded cups and a faux j hook back which makes the straps more secure on my narrow and sloped shoulders.

I definitely think that it’s a better fit for me than the regular Momentum. I get a better shape with the lined cups, although it is a heavier feeling than the non lined ones. The faux j hook straps definitely anchored the bra on me better.

While I still prefer the fit of the Chantelle Sports Bra (see my reviews...I’ve got 3!), this one is definitely a possibility, however it would have to be really discounted because between this and the Chantelle at similar prices, the Chantelle wins. If I see a really good deal, I might get it.

Honestly, I think this one makes your boobs look bigger. :-P

I do like the colors on this one, but I agree that the chantelles look like they gave a better fit.

    • I totally agree MamaPagan! They look so big! Also a bit too east west for me.

veggiechic thanks for confirming what I and the fitter thought with the Chantelle being best.

Any thoughts or agreements between this one and the original momentum in terms of fit and look? Does one appear better than the other?

Personally I think this one looks like it is providing you better support. Sports bras are tough!

    • I do too, veggiechic. The Chantelle (which is also the same basically as Panache and Fit Fully Yours) is the best fit and shape, then this then the other one. Through the straps of the Panache I tried were better than the Fit Fully Yours, it was also a 32DD bs 30F Fit Fully Yours. And the Fit Fully Yours, like the Chantelle, have adjustable j hooks and the Panache was fixed and it was too high for me.

  2. Sports Bra With Underwire (5519)

    Didn't fit

My breasts are pendulous, projected, and super squishy, so I'd been looking for a good underwire sports bra recently (PS - my quest ended with the Wacoal Underwire Sports bra!). This Anita Active Sports bra with Underwire had many glowing reviews so I thought I'd take it for a spin. I can see the appeal, but it isn't for me. For starters, this bra looks uber-breathable. Half of the band is a perforated mesh which is probably dreamy 20 minutes into a workout. On the breast-side, the cups are lined with a super soft microfiber-like material that is very soft to the touch. ... I can't help but wonder how well that breathes. Anita put stretchy, half-adjustable straps on this model with a widening of the fixed strap segment where your shoulders are expected to be. The wires are a little narrower than some sports bras, which may mean it's more comfortable on narrow-rooted persons. My single biggest complaint about this bra is there is little accommodation for upper pole tissue. I am still sorting out whether I have tall roots, but if you look at the photos it's abundantly clear I am massively quadding in this bra. I found the constriction of the upper pole of the breast so painful I didn't feel it worth trying another size. The gore in this encapsulation model didn't have any hope of tacking. The smallness of the cups crushed my tissue and causes the wires to place pressure on it. I expect this wouldn't have been so dramatic in bras a couple of sizes up, but being unconfident about the height of the cups, it wasn't worth the attempt. Also, the price point of this bra is quite high considering it's utilitarian and frill-free design. I'm glad this works so well for some of you, but it was a giant miss for me and will be returned.
